Equinox South Beach

Was shocked to see that Equinox had replaced my all time favorite juice bar! Where is my Danny?
He had the best shakes and such a nice staff.
Just got back in town and was craving my peanut butter smoothie only to find out this new vegan bar.
What is wrong with you people???
The new juice bar is terrible and seriously has nothing to offer!
Vegan??? I'm not vegan and real specific on my protein intake.
Danny had it all over there now there's nothing.
Do you really expect me me to stop somewhere before I go work out for my pre workout and stop somewhere after my workout to get a shake?
Might as well quit this gym, as much as liked,it and go somewhere else.
Also not really liking the new look but keep raising the membership fee Equinox!

Danny is back!!!!!
After 2 years of equinox trying a couple of different juice bars (both equally terrible), as I casually walked into the gym to work out and after already seeing that there was a new juice bar setting up shop but had no idea it's Danny and the smoothie boys! New juice bar looks amazing! Such a large variety of products And the best shakes around! So happy! Changed it to 5 stars.

The gym is clean and has good equipment. The drawback is how incredibly overpriced it is for the what you receive. They are constantly having price increases every few months while cutting hours and benefits. They now close early and keep reducing hours. The parking garage is a nightmare and you have to pay $20 to park on the weekends and everyday if you stay over 2 hours. They will also tell you when you join that you may utilize other Equinox Clubs when you travel. But when you actually request a guest pass to another club out of state, they tell you the club is full. However, if you pay $150/ day they miraculously have an opening. Total scam!
Place is VERY OVERPRICED with constant rate increases and horrible hours! There are many clubs that offer a better product for a better price.

Please stay away from this place ( does not represent equinox) first of all the stretch area is so small that you need to way sometimes, anything they have you can find better in Miami area for a very good price! But the worst was the costumer service I had to travel because my mother was very sick and I did inform the front desk to freeze my account till I come back, after couple months I came back and they are charging me the moths I was away I tried to speak with the manager but literally did not give a S@&$ ABOUT!

This gym has a very weird vibe! The equipment is ok and you'll find through your own research, there are few options in South Beach. The General Manager here specifically told me my workout entire was inappropriate. I went next door to Walgreen's/CVS and bought boys shorts! No one knows each other since everyone is new in the area from a variety of areas. You'll find extreme silence and a lack of social normalcy with other gym goers. Parking in a major plus here but they won't tell you the limitations of parking hours during the weekend where you'll pay out of pocket on the weekends. Some advantages here: they have coffee but not open until 8 am. There is retail area with workout apparel which is good quality. Big LGBT crowd which lightens the vibe since they are generally happier than the rest of us! lol

Overall, as a Californian, I am extremely disappointed with Miami in general and being ripped off for money at every turn in every relationship involving money. Some things never change in Miami a sunny place with shady people and shady business practices; I'll be moving soon.

I don't know what it is with this equinox in South Beach I had taken three months off. I went to do legs there was sand all over the floor weights all over the floor towels all over the floor I cleaned. Meanwhile the manager was telling someone that I had called to call and they were saying how clean it was as I'm standing around dirt the main area was clean I'm talking where the legs were and where you work out I had one of the employees almost wanna fight me on the floor they turn up the music so loud I have headphone max by Apple I couldn't hear a thing it's almost like they're trying to drive people out.

This place is righteous... I enjoyed my time here and cannot was to be back. The location services my now former neighborhood of South of Fifth very well. Sarah signed me up, every one of the staff members were wonderful and welcoming. Nicole, a manager was very prompt and professional through my unfortunate cancelation of the membership. I am disappointed I can't recall the staff members names who helped me in the apparel store. I enjoyed the experiences there so much I stopped in for a Alo hoodie and a smoothie on my way out of town. Be back in a year or two... :-)

While in the area, I was able to visit this classic South Beach location of Equinox on Collins. Situated above a huge ZARA, it was hard to miss, even more so in the evening with its glowing, multi-colored lights. Dated? Perhaps, but fun? Absolutely.

However, my visit was during the day, and the girl at the desk was super helpful in checking me in to this location that I am not familiar with, and was able to direct me where to go. This is an older EQX, more so that they don't have lockers with locks integrated so they had to supply me with a loaner lock at the desk as they held onto my ID. I was just grateful they had them; when LA had these lockers, good luck getting a loaner as they often went 'missing' and you're spending $25 at the shop for a lock that most likely you'll lose...

I'm not a workout ho, so as long as there are functioning treadmills, a stretching area, and decent weights-simple stuff-I'm good to go and they easily provide all of the above. Since this was off-peak time, there were no crowds, and I was practically the only one in the locker room. Everything went fine, and I spent maybe 2 hours there total. I didn't drive but I know they validate parking, and I took the elevators up (since I wasn't sure where the heck I was going) and the stairs back down.

What I'll remember most is that the staff I encountered was friendly and helpful which includes the front desk and the shop. If you're in town and your membership permits access, check it out.

Great Gym - Very clean, bright and the equipment is new and works perfectly. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The amenities at the gym are great. They provide towels and all Kiehl products in the locker rooms. Did I say that the locker rooms are clean and well-maintained? They are!! There is also a juice bar with healthy snacks, wonderful fresh juices and smoothies at reasonable prices. The classes are outstanding and the instructors are amazing.

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF, you will be HARASSED by the general manager who makes threats when you lower your mask to drink water. The front desk girls will follow you as you workout with eagle eyes. They take very little precautions on cleaning the equipment. I seen 1 janitor on his phone most the time. Such a beautiful city, but this place doesn't carry the true equinox experience due to bad management. Check there other NUMEROUS 1 star reviews from honest clients.

Buyer Beware! I wanted to work out for 1 week while I was on vacation at this location. I was told that their best offer was $199 for 3 months which I begrudgingly agreed to since it was right across where I was staying. I gave the membership girl (Ines) all my NJ gym membership Information and she was fully aware I lived and expected to return to NJ after 1 week.
To make a long story short, apparently she signed me up for a full year membership and charged my cc another $191 about 2 weeks after I had left south beach! I was shocked! I tried to appeal to the general manager, Aubrey Hoffman, but was told they could not refund the $191 because I didn't request early enough!?!? What?? I requested as soon as I saw the second cc charge which was still in March. I couldn't believe this was happening. I appealed to this Aubrey Hoffman on a pure human/ fairness level and asked if it was fair to be charged almost $400 for 7 days of working out without any response. This is terrible management and even worse people. Beware when dealing with this location.
