Englewood Diner

My husband and I were in Englewood with another family member who was going through a difficult 3 day medical procedure so needless to say we all were a little stressed and anxious. On day one we walked into this diner to pass some time while we waited and ordered breakfast. It was a typical NJ diner and the food was fine. I don't usually write reviews but felt like I really needed to mention our 2 waitresses Hannah and Vanessa. They were so welcoming and friendly and kept making sure we had everything we needed. They let us stay at our table for as long as we needed. We continued to go to this diner every morning for 3 days. Hannah and Vanessa were there each day and were just as welcoming every day. It meant a lot to us. So this review is for them. They were amazing and made a difficult time a little easier. Thank you.

I took my grandmother to lunch here at about 1:30pm. Upon entering the gentleman that seated us was prompt and accommodating. There was maybe 4 other tables in the restaurant and one waitress on staff. Although nice, the waitress was clearly struggling a bit. Once they took our order we sat 45 minutes and nothing. The waitress approached us after 20 min the waitress thanked us for our patience and then made us wait another 25min. When we complained they let us know all the tables sat at once and the kitchen was behind which would have been nice to know when we sat.

Aside from that experience in itself, the food was not great. We ordered a French onion soup, one empanada, and one buffalo chicken wrap. The French onion soup was far from traditional and unappetizing, so we sent it back. The empanada was frozen on the inside. The wrap was soggy and leaking all over the plate.

Now to end this review, I'd like to mention that the couple that walked in about 25 minutes after us received there food seconds after we received ours so using the kitchen being overwhelmed was not an acceptable excuse to me... will not be returning.

I saw a picture of a freshly squeezed orange juice . The waiter recommended it. . Blood orange! Absolutely so special and so delicious!

On the way to the dentist with some time to kill I popped into the Englewood Diner. Guys let me tell you I saw the reviews, and I thought meh it's a diner how bad can it be? I should have listened to the warning my fellow Yelpers put out there.

I got seated in a booth, under the table there were scraps left from the previous occupant of the booth and the menu that was handed to me - extremely sticky. So right off the bat I was not feeling this place. I ordered a coke and a Caesar Wrap - the coke tasted more like pepsi and the Caesar Wrap was nothing to brag about. It was decent to say the least.

What's up with the 2 stars people . Food is great, service is excellent and portions are a nice size. This is the Latin breakfast, Cafe Con Leche, and their coffee stop Lentil soup !! Everything was great give this place a try

Amazing service, family owned . Welcoming , and the food is fresh and made with love . Great spot for all your classic eats . The young lady who took my order made my iced coffee perfect . Great location , I definitely recommend!!!

Best fresh squeezed orange juice I've ever had. I'm not sure how they made it. Excellent service, very clean. My boyfriend and I stopped in for breakfast and had no complaints.

Gave this diner 2.5 stars for the food. But the location/inside would probably get one star.

The croissant egg and bacon sandwich was good and reasonably priced.

The diner itself had incense burning inside, not sure why.. it was upsetting me. I kept coughing from it. Then again, the whole restaurant smelled of smoke perhaps they were trying to cover it up. Do yourself a favor. Eat outside. The coat rack in the middle of the diner was also a nice touch.. probably one they could have lived without.

Overall. Staff was kind. Breakfast food was good, but the place itself was nothing special.

after a 20 min wait with a total of 6 ppl in the whole place and two were waitresses, I was told as they brought out my wife's mozz' sticks that they couldn't find the pastrami, would I like to order anything else....

then waitress tries to tell me that she tried to help find it, and that she was trying to help make my sandwich....

the two tables there were just sitting waiting for checks while one waitress spent her time talking to two old guys at the counter .

at this point just close, service and food sucks.....

Not bad but not great either. The food isn't worth the price you pay for it. The food took longer than usual to be made. I wouldn't waste my money in the future
