Elizabeth's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

A classic Italian staple in Winston.

I love their subs. And fries. Personal favorites for me are the chicken parmigiana sub and any of the steak subs.

The restaurant itself is quaint and a classic Italian restaurant feel. The staff are always friendly and quick to get anything you need!

So... it's Friday night and I stopped into Elizabeth's Pizza with a friend. They have a handwritten "waitresses wanted" sign on the door, and they were slammed. I should have gone somewhere else, but it was raining and my friend was late which made it more difficult to make a snap decision.

I've been to this restaurant before many times over the years. I think that it has gone down hill. They are pumping out the pizza at a rapid rate, and I bet it's good, but they need to work on the service and the non-pizza food.

So I waited about 20 minutes for a table and then sat. Ordered and waited about 50 minutes for food. The poor waitresses were running like crazy, but they just couldn't keep up. Finally, there was a question about what we had and they realized that it was missing.

I ordered a chicken caesar salad and my friend ordered a philly cheesesteak and fries. None of it was bad and none of it was great.

Did I tell yall I love pizza? So yeah, let me tell yall..."I LOVE PIZZA!" I am a pizza connoisseur, pizza expert, I can live on pizza! Elizabeth Pizza is one of my favorites! Quality is consistently high, crust is perfect, topping fresh and the staff is the friendliest in the city! You will NEVER miss with this spot!

My son and I just walked out after sitting for 20 mins with not so much as a greeting... they saw us sit down, took the order of those seated around us. Took a table of ten orders after they came in after us. Worst customer service. It's a shame cause the foods pretty good and I wanted to show my son a cool local place.

Won't be coming back.

This is a great local Italian spot. Pizza is fantastic and the service is just as good.

Excellent service! Great dinner! Enjoyed chicken Parmesan , spaghetti and meatballs, various salads and pepperoni and mushroom pizza- all very tasty!

The Food! The best! We ordered take out - loved the margharita pizza, five cheese pizza, wings, and greek salad.

Yum! Always has been such great pizza! I love coming here! Next day leftovers are so good too.

Well... I came there earlier tonight and the receipt showed my subtotal being $7 cheaper than the final total... They claimed it was a tip, but that would have ended up being a 30% top. Not sure what the deal was, but we paid it out of frustration of their denial. The friends we were with had a charge of $88 and a subtotal of $65... $23 tip!? Ridiculous... Hopefully these thieves will be stopped someday...

We ordered a 16'' Large Sicilian Pizza, Calamari Fritti, and a Child's Spaghetti through Postmates for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the child's spaghetti. I mean, look how much came with this thing! Unfortunately, that was the only exceptional part of our order. For 3 items and a $50+ tab later, we were unimpressed with the calamari which was more or less what you'd expect at any pizza spot and we really wanted to love the pizza which looked saucy and cheesy at first glance, but after biting into it, tasted like a mouthful of bread with a thin skimming of sauce and cheese on top. I wish that saucy and cheesy layer ran deeper into the dough so that it tasted more like a balanced pizza. I'd try again if this changed, otherwise, there are many other places I'd choose to enjoy pizza.
