Better than Most Mexican restaurants! Good red and green sauces. Their tomatillo salsa is very good. They have wonderful shredded beef and pork. The chilli rellano is not to be missed, and their enchillada-style burritos, chimichangas, and enchilladas are all very good.
Don't miss this gem tucked in the corner of a shopping center!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Bryn M.Midvale, UT33182136Oct 5, 2021
Tucked into the end of a little strip mall, El Toro Viejo is a Mexican gem in Brigham City.
It should be noted they're about to change their name to Ruben's. There's a lot of confusion between this location and Logan's, but this should help.
They've got some great choices here including a couple favorites. Their tacos de carne Asada are just delicious. They fry the tortillas birria style in consume. The tacos are dressed with all the street taco favorites (tomatoes, hand made pico etc) but with added sour cream and guacamole. They are covered in what the store calls Parmesan, but I think it's really Cotija...yum.
I also really love the pollo cilantro, chile verde, and flautas. They make a mean salsa verde too, which is on the sweet side and served with their chips.
The rice and beans are also quite good. The refried beans are cheesy and salty. No bland beans here!!!
This place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - John J.Washington Terrace, UT285402837Sep 10, 2021
Great atmosphere, limited parking, hot and delicious food to order, and excellent service! What more do you want when you're hungry? I had the steak quesadilla with Spanish rice and beans -- oh so delicious. It's worth the drive. If you're hungry, go here and tip well.

This is a Brigham City family favorite. The salsa they served when we arrived was very good, full of flavor and fresh. The chips were homemade. My daughter had the Supremo Burrito and she loved it, she said it's the best burrito she's ever had.
I feel like it is regular Mexican food. I had a tamale and a chili relleno with rice and beans, they were okay. The family favorites are the Enchiladas Verdes and the Carne Asada Plate.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Frankie S.Ogden, UT72212May 29, 2022
This is now called Reuben's but my opinion still stands, this is the BEST place, hands down, to eat in Brigham City. Their food is incredible, and the service is fast. We always do take out and they include their complimentary chips and salsa with it. Which, by the way, are some of the most fresh and amazing EVER! This is a gem in Brigham and you have never been, you are sorely missing out!

Molcajete in northern Utah? For only $15?? Stop reading reviews and come order it! Tasteful steak inside with a flavorful sauce. Came with beans, rice, tortilla and don't forget to order the fried whole jalapenos (3 for $1.50)!
Also ordered the side tacos for $3.25 each. Really wasn't a fan, I thought it was going to be like taqueria soft tacos but they were hard tacos covered with a ton of iceberg shredded lettuce. Wouldn't order again.
Service was one of the best service I've received in a long time. Staff is super friendly and attentive. One of them helped me practice spanish (after I asked him if I could practice spanish with him when ordering). He even brought out a plate of meat samples because I couldn't decide which meat to go for with the tacos.
Molcajete, sides of fried jalapenos, 3 tacos, chips and salsa (free) all for $29 after tax? Stop reading reviews, come here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sean J.Riverdale, UT2218Aug 5, 2021Updated review
I would prefer if you did not go here so that I don't have to wait for a table. Please stay away from one of my favorite places to eat.

Great lunch but I think the restaurant changed its name to Rubens. Fajita quesadilla for me and fajita salad for hubby. Delish!

I am so excited that we found this gem! We decided to take a weekend trip to Crystal Hot Springs and this is one the the restaurants we picked to try.
This restaurant has come up in many conversations regarding Mexican food since we visited in January. I am excited to have a reason to visit Brigham City, as this restaurant is worth the drive. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals, and had amazing service from a a friendly waitress. I wish I remembered her name, as she was exceptional!
My husband ordered the Loco Burrito, and ended up eating the entire thing (even though it was huge!) and said it was one of the best burritos he's ever had. I ordered the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo and added black beans. It was incredible! I also love that there were two salsa that came with our chips. Both were great. I am also happy with the beer selection they had.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 26, 2019
Love my steak Fajitas so much. Very tasty! The side dish plus the steak skillet together are good for two meals. We came on a Sunday afternoon, yelped and it is the only descent restaurant open in town. Service is awesome too
