El Tapatio Mexican Grill

We loved this place! We had the steak tacos and steak burrito and they were delicious. The servers were attentive and so friendly. Loved the chips and salsa, especially the spicy one. We enjoyed our experience!

I had the chili relleno chicken taco beef enchilada and tamale dinner with a Mexican Coke was very good chile relleno was nice and cheesy good amount of sauce chicken taco was good but the show was a little stale but the chicken was very very tasty enchilada was very good ground beef seasoned very well and the tamale was good with the chili sauce salsa and chips salsa need a little more spice and a little more salt waitress was very fast efficient and nice she checked on me 3 times I will be going back $ 15.95 it was worth it I give

I was on the hunt for the best chips and queso(by request). We came here with a tied number of recommendations. I ordered a chicken enchilada for lunch. It was fine, but all of our wrap tortillas were falling apart badly while we tried to eat them(with a fork and knife). At least the flavor was good. What really knocks the stars down was the chips and queso. We were definitely not impressed. The chips were thick and crunchy with barely and salt on them. I was hoping for light and crispy and nearly melt in your mouth with seasoning on them chips(like Tia Juanitas). The queso was very watery and the flavor was simple. Overall I'd label it, and all of our food, very ordinary. To top it all off, we left the place smelling like grease balls. They really should consider better ventilation in the kitchen. Next time we need Mexican, we'll probably try somewhere else.

Delicious and authentic food! The people were forgiving when it came to my Spanish haha. They even let my mom heat up some leftovers we had from breakfast for my vegan little brother. Since I'm vegetarian they were accommodating of that and made sure my order was without meat. It was a very good price for the food as well. If only we had something like this back at home. My family and I are currently on a road trip so it was great to quickly stop in, pick up the food, and use the restrooms. Thanks for the wonderful meal!

Comida deliciosa y auténtica. La gente fue indulgente cuando se trataba de mi español jaja. Incluso dejaron que mi madre calentara algunas sobras que teníamos del desayuno para mi hermano pequeño vegano. Como soy vegetariana, se adaptaron a eso y se aseguraron de que mi pedido no tuviera carne. El precio de la comida también fue muy bueno. Ojalá tuviéramos algo así en casa. They are not on hwy 14 anymore. They still have Moss Bluff location that has wonderful food. We miss our LC El Tapatio.

I've been here a few times and they are all-around in the good category.
The salsa is probably the best that I've had anywhere and chips are usually fresh.
This is a solid restaurant and shouldn't disappoint.

Very very good food. Chips and salsa are awesome. We got our food so quick and the servers are very friendly. We ate fajitas and i swear it was 20 min from chips to check. Great prices. It fills a void in lc for this food genre. Atmosphere is also charming quiet and clean.

Seriously, my husband and I go here at least once a week. The cheese is SO good and so is the salsa.
Tacos de carne asada is where it's at! The waiters are efficient at their jobs and I've never had one complaint besides the fact that two times we've had to get new waters because soap was in our cup. But I'd drink soapy water everyday if I could eat those tacos.

Ordered a take out for tonight. Man at the front told me I called the wrong number to place my order. I showed him the Yelp page, number and address. Finally he walked to the back to get it or throw it together. They didn't even cut it up. I guess he was frustrated. Horrible customer service.
