A true taste of Santo Domingo in Columbus: San cocho, chicharrones, plantains. This is a mom and pop greasy spoon! Expect loud bachata and merengue playing in the background complete with fans blowing at high speed. You feel like you are in the DR- trust me, I used to live there. I wouldn't want it any other way.

I was here 2 different times.

The food the first time was very authentic, however way over priced, portions were very small and the service was non existent.

After spending 10 years in NYC, and 4 months living in the Dominican Republic, I decided to give them another try since the is the only Dominican place in the area.

This was an absolute disaster.

I tried to order 3 different things on the menu, only to be told that they were all out of this or that. I ordered 2 dinners to go, both pork chops with beans and rice, which came with a side salad. That portion size in NY or the Dominican Republic would cost about $4. They charged $10. I told them I wasn't happy with the order size, especially waiting over 45 mins for the food to be ready.

I had a Groupon and figured, I'll just take the food.

I was told that he was the only person working and I had 5 orders ahead of me and that's why it took so long. As a customer I don't care, I want my food in a timely manner, not excuses. Additionally, when I opened the boxes to see the food, he said this was the "mini" dinner, and I asked if had a "mini" price to go with it.

I was then told they would NOT take the Groupon for the order.

To recap, they didn't have many menu items available, the portion size sucked, the food was way overpriced, the service was terrible, I waited 45 mins for a to go order and then after all that, they refused to accept the Groupon.

Needless to say I will not be back and I predict they will not be in business very long.

First time here.. waitress appeared to be surprised to see customers. Attempted to order from appetizer menu but was informed they didn't have anything available on that menu. My date placed his order and waitress proceeded to walk off without taking my order - WTF?!!

If you are looking for Dominican food this is the place. A special place in Columbus, Ohio.

My wife ordered shrimp and they gave her 8 small pieces and a container full of rice for 15.99 i got what was supposed to be flank steak and it wasn't it was a small piece of cheap meat that was small and tough. Plus I got red snapper for 15.99 and it was nasty and tough. How do you mess fish up? Got beans and the to go containers were only filled half way. All of this and had to wait an hour to get the food. This place sucks!!! This was our first time eating there and the last. They wont be in business long at all. I don't recommend anyone waste there money going there. DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Good food, good service! Recommend the Shrimp in Coconut Sauce or Carne Frita with Mofongo.

Walked in to give this place a try... Waited around at the counter for about 10 minutes to place an order just to be told the "cook" was not in would not be in for another hour. This was at 12noon...too bad...I was willing to try this place out.
