Decent restaurant for something quick to eat. We ordered the enchiladas and they good. Big portions, but expected for the price point.
Service is fast, but is meh. No standout waiters to me.
I would say it's a little expensive for hole in the wall food.
If you're in a pinch and need food, this is the spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 8, 20241 check-in
We met family here while on vacation and had a pleasant experience. We sat outside on the patio and the waitress was very attentive. I was a little disappointed to find out that they were out of a few of their menu items but it was not difficult to find something else delicious on their large menu.
I ordered pork enchiladas and it was so delicious I ate it ALL. Everyone else at the table ordered carnitas that come out looking like hamburger patties which was a bit of a surprise but they were the most flavorful carnitas I have ever had. Would highly recommend ordering the carnitas in a dish if you visit. The jalapeño Margarita was good but if you don't like a nice strong kick in your drink don't get it- I loved it though!
The carnitas may not look the most delicious in the review photos you see people post but believe me they are worth getting. (I didn't get a picture myself) AlsoHelpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 2 - Mar 27, 2024
I had an amazing experience at El Mirasol Restaurant tonight. The pork chile verde burrito was genuinely one of the best burritos I have ever had. Get the pork chile verde!!! It is amazing. So flavorful and juicy. Huge portions. My mom enjoyed the mole dish she ordered which is described on the menu as a Guy Fieri recommendation. We also loved the guacamole. Tasted very fresh and simple. Not too salty. They give you complimentary chips and salsa here upon arrival which are also very delicious. They even came around and refilled our chips with hot fresh ones before we had even finished the first batch! Menu is very large, lots of options. We sat outside this night but they have indoor seating as well. Cute little dining area with string lights and a view of the mountains. Servers here are so nice and accommodating. We were able to make a reservation easily online. Great experience. Definitely come here. I believe they have a second location too.

A solid choice for dinner while in Palm Springs. Not the best Mexican food I've had, but still pretty good with decent drinks. Their cheese enchiladas are pretty tasty with a hefty portion of sauce for them. We tried their De la casa margarita, which is apparently a 35 year old recipe, and it was good. I've had better, but for eight dollars you can't beat that. Their chips and salsa, though, we're absolutely delicious.
They do have outdoor seating with musters if you want to sit outside, but they also have great indoor seating, too. We came for a later lunch so it wasn't that busy, but I can only imagine it would get busy for dinner. This would be a great place to go with friends for a night out.
Staff are super efficient and friendly. We were able to find a parking spot easily when there for lunch, but if it's busier, I could see parking being a potential problem.
Good choice for a fun night out with friends.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Camilo A.Palm Springs, CA936327Jul 14, 2023
Ok so my husband doesn't own a Mexican foods business and my mother is not the queen of Mexican cuisine, I am just a mexican american guy that grew up in Northern Cali who moved to SoCal later and life. That's the backgound. Oh, and I am not a foodie type person who demands or expects extravagant presentation like some of the "mexican" restaurants in downtown Palm Springs.
So, this guy (me) who just likes good Mexican food, really really likes this place! It's my go to for the Palm Springs/Cathedral City although I've only eaten at 6 other Mexican restaurants in this area.
So what is good here? Even before we saw this place featured on Guy Fieri's Food Networks Diners Driving and Dives show, we were already regular customers since 2020. And we loved the Pollo En Pipián (and still do). It IS a bit on the spicier side compared to how others might make it but we find it very delicious and one of our favorite things there! We always order the corn tortillas with it, which are the only ones that are homemade. Yes, homemade tortillas of any kind wins me over hands down!
Oh - the default chips and salsa are good, but we also get the special molcajete made salsa (for an extra charge) which is spicier and more flavorful. They also make this amazing, bottled salsa (can't remember the name of it, I think its called Diabla sause) but it is also really good!
I also love their mole- it is the chocolaty kind but not super sweet. I usually order a combo so I can have a mole chicken enchilada which is not on the menu but they accommodate it. The other item I really like is their chile releno which you can get in the combo as well.
We've also had the steak picado which is also good and last but not least, what really seals the deal for me is their margaritas! I've had the Patron one, the Don Julio one but have found out if you are only having one (and one is all I need of theirs usually), the Casa margarita is fine, if you get a grande!
The ambience on the patio is cute, especially after dark when they have decorative lights on. Inside is nothing major, I think if you are eating inside it's to beat the heat outside!
Overall, an enjoyable place that we just keep coming back to for mexican food the way we like it, AND the margaritas!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Lance E.Seattle, WA013Mar 17, 2024
This place came highly rated but I found it 'lacking' it's billed as authentic..but I found it bland Cal-Mex.. I really hoped for some unique flavor... but it was more 'cafeteria food taste' we watched the place fill-up with customers... but I couldn't figure out why ?

Food and service are fine. Needs more parking spots. Patio is noisy when busy which is most of the time. My wife enjoyed a large portion of chicken flouta. I chose a shrimp dish that was perfectly cooked. Service is good. Make a reservation. Consider the other location patio for quieter.

I attended a wedding a few years ago and the food was phenomenal. The bride gave me the name of the place and I went for breakfast the next day. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I think I've tried just about everything they make but the carnitas platter reminds me of my Nanas cooking. This place is the most authentic Mexican food I've had outside of home. Well worth the hour and half drive from my home.
I'm not a hotsauce person but my family absolutely loves their Marisols hotsauce.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Marisela P.East Los Angeles, CA209127Sep 6, 2023
Spent Labor Day weekend in Palm Springs and found this little gem on Yelp.
For the appetizer definitely recommend the mini chorizo tacos
The pork en salsa verde was so delicious, nice and soft cooked to perfection.
Michelada was so good too.
I had the dessert cant remember the dishes name but it's like a flan. The outside seating was perfect nice and fresh with a live musico.
Waitresses was so attentive and the people who sit you too....
Definitely coming back on my next trip to Palm SpringsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
