El Gringo Mexican Restaurant

Wanted to try Mexican food after Thanksgiving. El Gringo is a great choice. Food and customer service is excellent. Great ambiance with the sports channel. Conveniently located on Sepulveda.

We love El Gringo!!! Great food and amazing service. Always smiles and helpful. Whitney has been there for years, knows everyone and is delightful. Love that it is a local spot too and it is great to support local Southbay businesses.

I had the rudest experience of my life today at this location. I have dined at the MB restaurant many times as a local. After I received my order today I was told by the register girl to never order there again if I wanted something special done- go to RB instead because they don't "want" my business. I requested my tortillas to be put on the side (which has never been a problem before)- the reason for this is because the tortilla shells are destroyed by the time you get to your location to eat them. Since it never was an issue I didn't think it would a problem. Before the cashier handed me my bag she BERATED me about my order and mentioned over and over if I wanted something special done that the kitchen staff was not "about that" so take it elsewhere.

Being a business owner myself as well as experience of many, many years of customer service her attitude was "not it". I understand it doesn't take much to work a register and she probably hates that she has to be at her job during the summer but the aggression wasn't warranted. I feel so disrespected and upset by her attitude towards me that I never will return.

Last thing, she was busy talking to her boyfriend who was standing halfway in the checkout area. She didn't seem to have a care in the world about anything else going on around.

Food is always great here but her response alone is going to be difficult to forget.

We love El Gringo! The food is always a crowd pleaser for our family, and Whitney is an absolute delight. Not fancy - but it's a great little spot to dine in or takeout!

This is a walk up location only. I don't see that posted anywhere under details. It bummed me out to walk up and see tables, but locked due to the walk up only option.

I wish they'd make it clear somewhere!

Everything was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Staff were friendly and service was okay.

Review is for the xcholti soup. Chicken soup with onions, cilantro, avacados, some rice. Served with tortilla. really tasty!

Wrote a review 4 years ago and gave 5 stars for the chicken soup. Good portion and really yummy. Phone in today for a pick up order.....the soup went up in price and is more then half the size they use to give. Disappointing

Wet Burrito with extra cilantro and Guacamole
Comes with bag of chips and salsa on the side ! And the service is great !
