Ask for an Itemized receipt!
I went in for 6 tacos add cheese on one and 2 drinks for my children and I to enjoy. The lady confirmed my order at the window and then told me the price $29.69(Wow) at the window and before she swiped my card I asked for an itemized receipt. She quickly proceeded to say nervously that she pressed the wrong buttons and charged me $23 instead. This behavior is unacceptable. I've heard of this restaurant ripping people off by overcharging. I didn't believe it at first. Sadly after today they have lost a customer. I'll be sure to share with family and friends as well. No I did not address the lady or manager about it. I'm leaving this behavior of deception in Gods hands.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jimmy N.San Antonio, TX13513Sep 26, 2023Updated review
I was busy and needed to eat something for lunch.I return to this restaurant and ordered a Carne Asada Burito. It hit the spot. Waitress was very supportive of taking care of my visit. I will return because it has a large amount on the menu to choose from.

Beef fajitas and shrimp were delicious.
Service was excellent and had no complaints. Sorry, that I didn't take any pictures because I was starving. Lol
I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
I will return because of the large menu of options. - Juan M.North Central, San Antonio, TX5446Nov 3, 2023Updated review

Food decent, service to slow greed cashier - Nancy L.San Francisco, CA05Jul 21, 2023
Soup was bottom of burned pot, service with only one other in restaurant was super slow, ambience not very clean looking.
Am Hispanic, overheard male MGR after I returned soup. Bad mouthing my reason for returning soup in Spanish. All because I don't look Hispanic, blonde actually. I went to pay,and told him n waitress That I speak Spanish n his comments were very unprofessional. I also seen behind the kitchen reviews their score of 32. Roaches, food out versus in freezer etc. FYI. I have yet to go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jess S.FL, FL07Aug 1, 2023
Birria meat was a little tough. Service is quite slow. The cheese dip was weird and not at all a dip, but more like barely melted string cheese consistency and the chorizo was burnt. Not the worst but definitely not the level of quality Mexican food I expected for San Antonio, specifically on west ave which I was told by a local is where all of the best Mexican food would be.

Given wrong order, late icy roads and elderly and they wanted my parents to drive back 1 hr later to return food and get correct food. Puting there lives at risk. Horrible service.

I had the cheese enchiladas and they were ok. I asked for my tortillas (on the side ) to be toasted a little bit..instead they toasted the tortillas to my enchiladas.
The service was not good at all, the first waitress took our order then switched over to another waitress. Who had to take our order again. The plate looked good but when I tasted it, it was a bit bland :/ so I will probably never come here again.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Erica C.Downtown, Houston, TX052Jun 4, 2022
We call in our order and pick up Everytime. We don't live in SA but this is in my mom's neighborhood and we have eaten here Everyday since Tuesday! And most times we come to SA. Today they allowed a homeless man that I was purchasing food for eat his meal inside. I didn't think they would, but they did!

The food is good. This restaurant is located on Walzem Road. There are more restaurant's with the same name in San Antonio. However, the waitress asked us if we wanted tortillas with our meal. We both said corn tortilla. When I paid the bill, there was a charge for the corn tortillas. $3.00 for 4 corn tortillas.
Be aware that this place charges you for tortillas that used to come with your meal. The prices here rival Mi Tierra downtown.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Patches J.TX, TX01May 4, 2022
Where do I start I've been coming here for over 5+ years can't quiet understand why the service is still bad and how they treat one of their loyal customers I've gone recently a couple times with friends and they continue everytime to over charge us and absolutely refuse to try to understand when I was trying to explain why I think it was so much she repeated the same thing back to and continued to argue with me for 20 minutes I'm afraid to say but after coming here for so long it's only went downhill
