Einstein's Oilery

I was not able to find an address to your corporate office anywhere. If I would have been able to locate this, I would have written a letter to them. I did get a call from the manager at the store on Fairview, which was nice. What was not nice at all was how the guy handled the complaint.

He wanted me to come in to look at surveillance to prove that they did in fact change the oil on my wifes car. This is the oddest thing I have ever (In my 30 + years) been asked to do. Then he proceeded to tell me that according to the car fax, It has been a while since I have had the oil changed.

#1 that should make no difference at all if they had drained the old oil completely. #2 This is false. I change the oil very regularly on our car. #3 I dont think every oil change place is linked up and notifies Car Fax of changes, so I doubt their reports are accurate. #4 I should not be made to feel like its my fault.

Any good manager should not do this and should be willing to, at the very minimum, offer a discount on the next oil change. If I were the manager, I would have asked me to come in, checked my oil and offered either a discount, or a free change. This would have been excellent customer service and not the very disappointing CS that I received. It sounded like the manager just wanted to prove that he was right and I was wrong. I posted my experience on Yelp and will not be returning to Einsteins to get any of my vehicles oil changed. Because of the manger here, you have lost a customer for life. I strongly recommend that corporate looks at this and retrains the manager at the Fairview store on how to provide better customer Service

Expensive, thorough, somewhat fast. You can sit inside your car for the whole time. Car goes off so if it's hot or extremely cold, you may want out. The service was great. They checked everything. They also try to upsell so know what you need or you may pay more for something you are not quite sure about. I always get synthetic oil and here they charge a flat $71 for this. I checked into Yelp for a discount but even so, this was a pricey oil change. I'm used to better pricing for the same convenience. Definitely will shop around before returning.

Great service. Synthetic for my diesel. Checked all fluids. Drive thru. My tank is ready for the road.

I've been a customer of Einstein's for many years. All four of my family's automobiles have been serviced there and will continue to be. The service is always good but not so much so that I've been compelled to write a review...until today. I did visit a different location on Fairview in Meridian, ID today and I was blown away by the service.

William greeted me with the standard - paper, iPad, service menu and complimentary beverage offer and then helped navigate me inside where he passed me off to Saul. WHO WAS INCREDIBLE. He was polite, informative, respectful to the rest of his crew, and knowledgeable in making suggestions. I did opt to include the transmission and radiator service which made my visit longer than usual. He engaged in polite conversation.

As I was leaving I asked Saul who I could share a compliment about his service with and he said "Well, Ma'am, that would be me!" Which is what led me here! I was even more impressed when I learned he was the team lead because it showed in how he treated his team and how they treated him! Well done, Meridian Einstein's!!

This is kind of like your Chik-Fil-A of the oil changing world. They are very upbeat and friendly (maybe a little overly so as it comes off a bit forced but it is certainly better than the alternative) and they have a couple of nice additives like your daily paper is handed to you, they offer you a drink, etc. They are fairly quick and cover all bases. They do try to sell you a of bunch of different things while you wait but are fairly gracious if you decline.

Prices are comparable to most other places that are similar.


8/18 - Updating my review a little. This same day, maybe 3 hours later, I found out my exhaust pipe completely broke in half because it was rusted through. On my paperwork it notes that they did a chassis inspection and that seems like something that would stand out. I clearly don't fault them in any way but I do take into consideration that things maybe aren't done are thoroughly here as hoped or as should be.

The overall service and experience was good but this does concern me a bit.

Christopher is a hard working young man. I watched him literally run out to cars to greet them with a newspaper and offer a beverage. This was my first time there and I was really impressed with my whole experience.

Love this place! The fact that you get to sit in your car is extremely convenient. As an added bonus they'll give you a newspaper and they offer drinks. The staff is SUPER friendly (and attractive ). I'll definitely be back and I'll recommend them to everyone in the area.

Not nearly as friendly or quick as when it was Einstein's. Valvoline is more expensive and they unfortunately lost all of my vehicle info and maintenance history with the buy out. Not sure I'll go back. Truly bummed it's not an Einstein's anymore! No major complaints about the service, just not as nice of an experience as when it was under previous ownership.

I LOVE this place! Its not just another lube center, its much much different. First off, you NEVER get out of your car. You drive in, they kindly introduce themselves, offer you a beverage & newspaper to read while waiting in your car. Another huge difference is there are 3 TV screens right outside your window. 1 tv has the news playing, & the other 2 screens are live video of the person under your car draining your oil & the other screen is the guy working under the hood of your car! These guys are nothing but fast, efficient & professional. They informed me I had a license plate light out & replaced it no problem. I recommend Einstein Oilery to everyone I know! Also, they always have coupons circulating for $10 off or $24.99 oil change. My fathers Volkswagen Touareg & Eos both require synthetic oil & the price at Einstein's was $20 less than the dealership price.
