Thieves dressed up as dentists. I'm giving them 2 stars (not 1) because I have little evidence to the quality of service that they provide.

This dental office feels more corporate than any consulting/finance office in the loop. I got one cleaning at the end of the year and afterwards they started piling up the costs. I wanted to get Invisalign treatment, but their quote was $5400 for 14 trays after I already paid $400 for the Invisalign scan (I never was told about this cost beforehand). They also said I need deep cleanings, which obviously insurance doesn't cover, that would run me $1200-1600.

My biggest issue was the disconnect between my insurance and what Jocelyn would tell me. She directed me to call my HR division, specifically request the Delta Dental PPO plus Premier plan (another cost), and come back to her. After I did that and returned to her office, I was informed that I have barebone coverage and everything will be out of pocket. I literally thought I was going crazy until I called another dentist office, found they offer Invisalign for $4200 max (up to 32 trays) including the scan, and got out of East Erie's grasp before they sprang another random charge on me.

Maybe I'm just used to my dentist at home where the people care about me, not my wallet.

I am deeply frustrated with the services provided by this practice. Over the course of my four visits, I encountered four different dentists, despite my initial plan only requiring 2-3 visits. This unpredictability and inconsistency has led to increased appointments, seemingly to maximize my plan limits. During my recent visit, after specifically requesting a dentist I had trust in, I was met with yet another switch mid-appointment. My trust has been eroded and my feelings towards the office management are far from positive. I hope there will be improvements and accountability in the future.

Came here for a routine check up and then ended up needed additional work done. After a few visits and being new to my own insurance benefits, they were patient and extremely helpful explaining how to maximize my benefits. They are transparent on pricing, and help advise/ explain the appointment planning process. I would recommend this to any one in Chicago!

I had my first visit to East Erie Dental today and was very pleased. It has taken me awhile to find a dentist who accepts Medicare Advantage dental insurance. The only other office I had found used up my entire benefit amount on the first visit. This office was very good about explaining what needed to be done and spreading things out into next year, which was really helpful. The staff were very pleasant and professional. I'm really glad I found them.

Booked in for a cleaning and charged for an additional procedure that wasn't part of my original appointment when insurance was maxed out (known situation)- lack of transparency on service and later charged.

I was so impressed with how lovely and quickly my check in, the consultation, and the overview of the procedure and payment was. They examined me carefully and helped me choose the best options. I was completely impressed and can't wait to return. It was a very positive experience.

Came here for a second opinion and the process was very smooth. The front desk personnel knew the appointment and reimbursement process very well and was able to help me with my questions immediately. I was also able to get in for a consult appointment the same week. As for billing if it's routine service they go ahead and bill insurance if there's an actual procedure they will estimate your insurance coverage and have you pay the patient portion at your appointment.

I found East Erie Dental on the web. I popped a crown on Saturday, New Year's Eve, and I was hoping the get it reseated BEFORE the three-day holiday weekend. Although they were unable to accommodate me on Saturday, an alert member phoned me first thing Monday morning and I was able to get in on Tuesday. The crown that had detached was an old one, probably 10 years or more. The dentist who took care of me was very considerate and gentle with her work. She explained the problems with my old crown and yet was willing to work to reseat it and spare me the expense of creating a new one. I am very pleased with my experience here and would recommend East Erie Dental to anyone needing dental assistance.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate the exceptional service provided by this dental clinic. If you're looking for a skilled dentist who genuinely cares about their patients, I highly recommend Dr. Nasrin Azim and their team. This is by far, one of the best dental experience I've ever had.
