Eagle River Marine

Was here for a quick weekend decided to rent a boat with some friends and the service was absolutely outstanding clean and functional equipment they got us going in the right direction they got everything we needed. After seeing our larger group they upgraded us at a very reasonable cost
if you're ever gonna take a trip on the Eagle River this is place to get your boat if you don't already have one.
We will definitely use again!!

Let me begin with my expectations were low to start with. I have dealt with several Marinas in the Eagle River area and have been disappointed every single time. I'll add I am a local so to all the folks that think this only happens to the "snow birds" or to those with cabins on the chain that's not the case.

I had my boat winterized and then returned to be summarized This spring 2017. Eagle River Marina also known as trackside.... Cheats and thieves, they do not do what they say but are more than willing to take your money. I dropped my boat off to be summarized and was told it would be done in a couple days, several days later and after a phone call that I placed to the marina to inquire about the status, I was told that they weren't sure they even had my boat. They asked whether I had stored it at the marina through the winter. I informed the gentleman that I just dropped the boat off less than a week ago to be summarized. Long story short after some back and forth and searching he informed me that the "computer says it's ready". On collection the boat was uncovered sitting out . It had rained ...no big deal it's a boat but......The battery cover was laying on the floor, flooded with water, the boat cover was laying molded and wet, this is where they obviously left it in the fall. Battery access cover was open , so battery had sat there getting rained on for who knows how many days. The only thing they seemed to do was take the shrink wrapping off. They did nothing but charge me money. No help to load. Nothing, rude..... ...........I felt like I was an inconvenience.......getting your drivers license renewed is more pleasant.

One could sympathize with the excuses they provided " it's crazy busy" but wait if I used that it would never fly. Sorry just because the bulk of your revenue is generated in a small window of the season does not give you the right to cheat and steal.

Post Script: I refuse to be taken advantage of. I will tell everyone I know , down south in Chicago and locals....about my experience at this marina.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. That is NOT at all the case when it comes to my experience at Eagle River Marine. It has been a few months since my family and I rented a pontoon boat, and I still get disgusted every time I think about it. These people are CROOKS, be very cautious when renting a boat from them. In fact, I would take photos of the boat and a video before leaving the dock. My family and I rented a pontoon boat for a week. We are experienced boaters (own three boats), very respectful people, and treated the boat as if it were our own. When we went to return the boat, the girls at the marina tried to charge us for every minuscule marking, scratch, and dent on the boat that were there when we rented it. They made a huge list of items they claimed were our wrongdoing. These charges were obscene and completely unjustifiable. We have been renting pontoon boats in Eagle River for the last ten years (never before from this place), and never had such a horrific experience. When we disputed the claims with the manager , an accusatory stance was taken. They told us that they would charge our credit card and there was nothing that we could do about it. Eagle River Marine has the worst customer service ever!!!! I will never rent a boat from them again, and would not recommend them to anyone. They are awful people and this was an awful experience. We miss Heckel's!
