In this day and age save your hard earned money, and buy from a more very well reputable business than this place...
They are struggling to stay afloat , and definitely overcharging on sub standard equipment.
God forbid you have a problem, between the son, and the old man owners. You will have to deal with the lengthy and tedious warranty companies before the old piece of inventory you bought gets addressed if it gets addressed......
Just be careful overall, they may go belly up after you buy equipment from them within the next couple of years..... Don't believe what they tell you.
If you don't believe me, just ask the house of Q in Hoboken Nj...... Good luck all...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michael F.Hasbrouck Heights, NJ013Sep 8, 2017
I do not even know where to begin. What was once a descent company to deal with is now my worst nightmare. I ordered numerous pieces of equipment from them and was told that the turnaround time would be 2-4 weeks at most and that the equipment was in stock at the manufacturers. Needless to say we are pushing 8 weeks and the equipment is not here. Getting them to return calls or emails is like pulling teeth. All I can say is buyer beware!!

On their website it clearly says "price match" but when I had the lower price from competitor they said buy it over there!!!! Scam artist they are. They wouldn't discount it nor MATCH the price, and they could care less.

I am not a restaurant owner and only purchased a nonstick pan twice from here, but they seem to be the only restaurant supply store in central jersey I can find where you can walk in and pick up items for home use.
I was looking for a vollrath wear ever ceramiguard nonstick fry pan and they were really the only place around me that stocks it. Staff here are really friendly and appear knowledgeable. Prices are also wholesale and I even saved some money from their online coupon through yelp, about $33 for a high quality nonstick fry pan. May sound expensive to some but is actually quite a good deal. Only put 4 stars for 2 reasons: I can't judge them fairly as a restaurant supply store as their main business is selling various items in bulk (a service I did not utilize) and they are located in a less than savory neighborhood, which doesn't bother me having grown up in Brooklyn but may turn others away looking for high quality kitchen items for their home. They do appear well stocked with many high quality items.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - La L.New York, NY713825Feb 11, 2013
Absolutely horrible customer service. Don't ever shop here. Shop at Newark Food Service, at least they understand the value of treating customers well. E & A sucks.

Hi, I am sorry you had a bad experience shopping with us. I apologize for the poor customer service you received. Were you having a problem with a piece of equipment you purchased from us or were you not helped with your needs at our store?

I needed a bar floor mat for our unfinished basement, as it's the rainy season and, well, I needed one. Amazon & eBay had them, with insane shipping prices. I called E&A, and they had them--$28 for a 3x3. Yay! eBay & Amazon had these same mats for $35-40, plus $15 shipping, each.
Then there was this deal on Yelp to get a $75 gift certificate for $50; I knew I would be spending at least $50, so why not. I also needed replacement tongs.
There's a private parking lot in back, shared with the YMCA.
Unloaded the kids and headed into the store. I felt at home. I love restaurant supply stores. 20 years ago I bought century old cast-iron bistro tables at a restaurant supply place in Illinois, $75 each. I knew I would not be leaving this store spending less than $75, and I was right.
I was greeted warmly when we walked in and let them know what I was looking for--they have about 5 versions of mats and another gentleman was sent to take me up to the mats; the cheaper ones were perfect (we really don't need the super-duper ones, as these will be used to line the front of the washer & dryer). Of course I spotted the Chinese cleaver too. I had been looking for one since my mother took back the one she lent me during college. Every Vietnamese mother can cut everything with a Chinese cleaver, and I wanted another one. Having searched dozens of Asian stores in Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Plainsboro, and now here, over the past 20 years, I had to have it. $38. It is MINE! If anyone decided to mug us in the parking lot, I had my 8" cleaver. Honestly, I can now hack up anything which my Wusthof & Henckels cleavers just aren't solid enough to do. Maybe I should take up hunting or buy a side of pig. Or head up to Vermont and assist the neighbors when it's time to butcher a cow. Oh the opportunities a solid cleaver provides. They also sold one with a plastic handle for $18, but I wanted the wooden handle. My magnetic knife rack will be happy to be nearly complete.
Everyone in the store was friendly and nice. I asked about the small, stainless grinders, but decided that I really don't need a 5th grinder to replace my dying 20 year old table pepper grinder.
I was also told that they would be happy to put the mats into my car for me if I just pulled the car around--sweet!
Great service & selection, knowledgable & helpful staff. I'm happy, and now don't have to worry about clothes dropping onto the damp basement floor when it's flood season and we haven't yet put in French drains. Plus I can butcher a cow.
I did forget to look for a 6" replacement lid for one of my All-Clad pans. Oops. Or maybe that was deliberate, so I wouldn't buy even more necessary items, or to give me an excuse to return to browse the warehouse of new and used goods.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ann R.Brooklyn, NY0145Sep 17, 2014
Ordered Nu-foam tablets which seems to be in shortage at all restaurant supply stores in the NYC area. Thousands of bars and nowhere to find these. Health Dept must love that. Anyway they sell boxes of 6 which is rare too and the delivery was quick. I'll keep ordering it from you guys. Thank you.

Found these guys on Google, had what I needed, called them and it was a great experience, friendly professional lady on the other end of the phone, ordered online and it arrived as promised, 5 business days after shipping.

Placed an order for two small ovens and had to call into customer service as I needed to make some shipping changes to the order as we needed the equipment before the weekend. The customer service department was more then helpful and everything went out as promised. Nice doing business with a company like E&A. Thank You.

Lori in internet sales at E&A was great. I found the best pricing with E&A and Lori even worked with me to shave more money off the shipping. I had a couple follow up questions and she was very helpful and extremely pleasant the entire time. Overall, my experience was wonderful and I'm glad I chose E&A of all the places I could have made my purchase.
