Dunlap Codding

I have sent three emails to book an event and I haven't heard anything back. Don't put all you ducks in one basket waiting on them have a back up plan.

This is only in reference to their event space, but I really enjoy events that DC on Film Row hosts. Their patio is beautiful and perfect when the weather is nice. They also utilize their parking lots for large events. It is clear that DC values the community and looks for ways to engage with it, like their food truck Wednesdays and allowing groups to meet in their space. They are a huge part of what is making Film Row an awesome district!

We were invited on a Sunday afternoon to an intimate wedding of 50+ people. The venue was small, but we had a blast conversing, dancing, and maneuvering around the catered buffet. Decorations were simple and upbeat. The open bay door to the large patio with pergola and fire pits made the space more comfortable to the flow of traffic to and from opposite sides of the room. Restroom was down a long hall, but clean and well decorated.

Dunlap Codding is an Intellectual Property law firm. I have no idea how good they are in that field, but if they are even half as good at law as they are at contributing to the resurgence of the Film Row district in downtown OKC, they must be fine lawyers as well as fine citizens.

They are a major participant in the monthly Friday night festival Premiere on Film Row. There is a bouncy house out front in the middle of Sheridan for the kids. The courtyard has live music and community tables where you can sit & eat your food truck fare while enjoying said music. In the community space the events differ but there is always Art on display. Tonight they had the first of a planned quarterly market for local crafters. I did my Mother's Day shopping - bought Mom a hand painted gourd birdhouse that has a blue jay on it. I know from personal experience that when the weather is cool, they have heated areas where you can warm up while eating your Roxy's Ice cream.

In addition to Premiere, Dunlap Codding has foodtruck Wednesdays for lunch. Head over, get your food from whichever truck is participating that week & enjoy eating your lunch sitting at the community tables in their courtyard.

Dunlap Codding is also very involved with local charities. At the first Premiere on Film Row that I attended, they promoted a collection of backpacks for Upward Transitions. I rounded up a Coca Cola backpack I no longer used & donated it there.

I don't think I have ever said so many nice things about a group of lawyers but this is not your stereotypical law firm. If I ever do need an Intellectual Property lawyer in the future, I will definitely contact Dunlap Codding.

Not only are they one of the top patent and trademark firms in the nation, they are incredibly generous their giving and community space. It's amazing to see how many community events they open their space to when it's not office hours. Bravo Dunlap!

This local intellectual property law firm is one of the main reasons you now love coming out to Film Row for special events like Premiere on Film Row. In addition to longtime anchors like IAO and Joey's, having this great local firm here on the Row has really made the neighborhood.

They have hosted several community events in their big courtyard, which is connected to their large staff kitchen and break room by a large garage door that can be opened to create a really fun indoor/outdoor space, perfect for big events.

I haven't worked with them on any IP stuff, but should I ever need IP help, this is exactly where I'm going. I'd say the community outreach they're doing is worth every penny, even though these hours spent putting the events together aren't billable!

Man, do the folks at Dunlap Codding know how to throw a party! Here are the reasons I love DC on Film Row:

1. They participate every month in Premiere on Film Row (3rd Fridays of the month) and SERIOUSLY bring their A game. Bouncy houses, food trucks, multiple artists, live music...legitimately a rocking time.

2. They offer a FREE event space to community members! Seriously, are you listening? Free! Their courtyard and kitchen area are beautiful, and the perfect place to host your next small company or nonprofit event!

3. They are incredibly good to their employees and neighbors (and treat them all like family.)

I can't recommend them highly enough. Love, love, LOVE them!

I can't speak for their law services, but I finally got the chance to check out their event space last night and WOW. It is beautiful, both inside and out. The whole office is very modern; we were in the kitchen/event space and I'm thinking it must be nice to work here because the "kitchen" at my office is basically a microwave and a fridge. No ovens or catered lunches all week for us. Anyway, the patio is huge and gorgeous as well. I will have to make a point to come to more events here. I'm not too familiar with the Film Row area but it's so interesting and with great community partners like this, it is sure to succeed.
