Great memories great fun during rapid city former night life and weekend fun that town use to have was always packeted on a Saturday night and the night club dance floor was always busy memories of a city that had a decent nightlife and things to do on a Saturday night

This bar was purchased and is being renovated by the same people who did Murphys. I'm actually disappointed with this one though.
If you enjoy a room so crowded you can't move, this bar is for you.
If you enjoy an atmosphere so loud, all you can do is dance because you can't hear anyone enough to hold conversation, this bar is for you
This place is always packed which tells me a lot of people like it but it just isn't for me. I like to go out to socialize and I can't do so here. It feels like I'm at a wall to wall packed concert every time, very uncomfortable. On top of that, the fact that they charge a cover at the door is a slap in the face. The only reason I continue to come to this bar is because my girlfriend likes it.
I had a terrible experience with a bartender. I ordered a double captain coke, now, keep in mind I was a bartender for a couple years so I'm not just some bitching patron, I know my stuff. This bartender proceeded to pour me a single in a tall glass as if I wouldn't notice. He poured one oz of Morgan (using a jigger) and filled the rest with coke and had the audacity to charge me for a double. I went to another bartender and asked him to remake one for me which he did, but that just really pissed me off that that one bartender tried to pull one over on me like that. I refused to order another drink from the bar the rest of the night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sandee W.Los Angeles, CA22336222Jun 6, 2012First to Review
Dublin Square is kind of a divey hipster bar. You can be sure to find young ones there from the early age of 21 and mostly 20 year olds but may spot a few others I guess depending on the night, of course I am not a regular in South Dakota only when I go back to visit, but definitely not the best or classiest joint to go to, but hey i guess if you looking for a little dancing this might be one of your only options!

Pretty cool place to meet up with friends and check out the bands there for the upstairs bar. Downstairs bar isn't that bad; just needs more ventilation.

As far as bars go, you certainly could do worse than Dublin Square, but this place is about as Irish as Shaquille O'Neal. However, it does have some redeeming features, such as two bars upstairs and another downstairs. They have live music on the weekends, which is nice, but It's one of those schizophrenic places where you can tell when younger crowd takes over. you're usually elbowing a bunch of 20-something hipsters that give the place more of a club atmosphere, especially downstairs where there's usually techno going on. the beers are very cold, which is good for the crappier beers, but they also have some good beers on tap, and it sucks waiting around for a stout to come up to drinking temps. They have a fair selection of pub food, which is quite tasty. If you're over 30, come to Dublin before 6 or 7 pm and have a decent time, where you can actually conduct a normal conversation. If you're in your 20s, go there between 8 and closing and it's pretty much Rapid City's version of Jersey Shore. The bar staff are great, they have big screen TVs, a cool fireplace for winter, and swing-up garage style doors for summer. You're pretty much guaranteed to see a fight out front every Saturday night. Sometimes that's cool.

GHETTO. It used to have a nice club atmosphere and be a fun place to go out...now it's dirty and disgusting. Don't wear strappy shoes...ever...
