DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Ontario Airport

Came here for a dinner fundraiser to help refugees in their resettlement into our community. The venue is big and spacious so was able to hold a large group with a stage, podium and projector for video presentations.
There was also room for a cash bar and silent auction items. Of course there was a live band too. Table setting was nice. I just wish the food could have been better. I ordered the chicken breast and it was tough and dry. Heard the salmon was better but maybe next time I will order the vegetarian choice.
Lots of parking and many rooms for conferences or gatherings.

Pros: The lady that checked us in was very welcoming and helpful. We loved her! The cookies were amazing! The pillows were nice, there was a microwave in the room, and it was spacious. It was a place to sleep when our flight got cancelled and rescheduled for early the next morning. The temperature in our room was comfortable. The bed and floor looked clean.

Cons: There were some shady-looking characters outside when we arrived but security was on their way out as we entered (so also a pro for that), bathtub floor was a bit dirty, the body wash was nearly out, the water didn't get warm enough for my liking, and the piece that drains the water in the shower was broken so I had to wedge something under it to keep it propped up so the water could go down the drain. There was no fridge in our room. The mattress felt caved in (like we were rolling towards middle/sinking all night). There was some constant, pulsing electricity sound (still not sure what it was, but I heard it as soon as we got to room and it never went away).

It wasn't the worst, but also not my favorite.

Stayed here in order to catch an early flight (5 AM) and avoid the hassle of an even earlier wake up.

The check in as super easy and I was upgraded prior to arrival as a Hilton Diamond member to a pool facing room. Upon my arrival I received a warm welcome and cookie. The hotel is definitely a bit dated but it was clean and the staff was actively cleaning the common areas regularly during my time there. The room was as spacious with good amenities again a bit dated but not terrible.

I did use the lobby bar and the bartender was awesome made a great Old Fashioned and was very friendly and professional. I had started to go to Misty's Sports bar and there was a $10 cover on a Friday? At 5 pm? For a guest? No thanks.

I had requested a shuttle from the rental car facility to the hotel. The shuttle took 30+ minutes to arrive. He said he came straight over, it's a 10 minute drive at most. I. The morning the first shuttle isn't until 4am my boarding time was 445am. I didn't know that until I had dropped my rental. They definitely need to have an earlier shuttle or flex the schedule to the airline schedule. Really my only complaint.

I was only there for about 12 hours so my use of many facilities is limited.

Pros - Close to the Airport, close to food, good staff, clean rooms

Cons - Dated facilities, airport shuttle

Be careful eating at the hotel restaurant! They automatically add the tip to your total and then there is a blank line to add the tip at the bottom.

We would have added a tip, not suspecting that they had already done so, and we would have been charged for tipping them twice. Seems very deceptive because they don't tell you that they automatically do this. My party was only two people!

Thank goodness we noticed and were able to put a tip as "zero amount" so we were charged correctly.

We had a wonderful time dancing to DJ SWICK, offered great sound system & lighting equipment, I couldn't let it go to waste sitting down for long. I enjoyed the way the dance hall was decorated & how party favors were generously offered for all. I came in 2021, and we specially had a better time bringing in the New Year 2024 because Seguritas Security was tighter & checked everyone had their payed entry blue bracelet every time you stepped in the Hall. Ontario PD was also present thank you City of Beautiful Ontario, CA. I'm looking forward again for next year. Parking available & free, come early for special events because it gets full. The music played here on video, I don't own any rights to it nor claim it.

The employees are some of the hardest working and most caring people in America. Let me explain. My husband works for an airline. Occasionally, I meet him for the overnight. I landed 4 hours earlier than him. The airport is only 1.7 miles from this airport. By foot. And there are sidewalks the entire way. I'd been cooped up in a plane, then airplane, and I saw it as a beautiful opportunity to get some exercise. So I walked. Traffic was not bad at all (Monday at 1300).

After arriving I sat in a chair in the lobby while I waiting. It's a large open area. Smells good. Clean and quiet. An employee walked up to me and said she saw me walking and was wondering if I was coming here. She felt guilty for not stopping to pick me up. I explained that I wanted to walk. I don't think it helped her guilt. She wanted to be sure I knew when the shuttle runs and how to find it.

Then, another employee brought me two cookies. He even check on me later, to see id I wanted another.

More about the actual hotel. My husband has feather allergies. I call in advance to request a feather free room. They always follow through. That may seem obvious, but trust me, more times than not, It is an issue.

They have 3 restaurants on site and a Starbucks. They have a fancy steak house, a dance venue, and then the casual dining experience. Which is what we chose, and it was great. The rooms are big, clean and tastefully decorated. We heard no noise throughout the night.

A huge plus for this hotel is that they have a shuttle to-and-from the airport!! Very few hotels do this now, and the shuttle definitely makes the travel experience better.

The hotel itself is huge. It hosts restaurants, Starbucks, bars, and nightclubs. Check-in was super easy. My only complaint is the room was two buildings away from the main entrance. Since we were only staying one night, it was a pain transporting our luggage two and from the lobby. The room itself was clean and spacious. The mattress was comfortable. However, the pillows could not maintain their shape and were not easy to sleep on.

All of the staff from the check-in/check-out process and restaurants were very nice. We had a great stay!

My group stayed at this hotel to use the rooms for a conference. The nightclub inside was neat (didn't get to go in it because of a strict dress code policy), and there was a Starbucks, restaurant, and full bar. There are also a lot of places nearby to eat at. I enjoyed the toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner. There were plenty of towels available and the vanity lightning was great. The hot tub was a great size. This hotel is HUGE (impressive considering how large the individual rooms are) and can accommodate large groups. The meeting rooms range in size, from being really big ballrooms to smaller intimate rooms. The food the hotel staff provided to our group was AMAZING. It was so healthy and balanced and nothing ever ran out.

I knocked stars because the conference/convention style rooms were super close together and soundproofing was not possible. When we were discussing serious matters in my conference, a group using the adjacent room was singing on a microphone with the doors open. Another night, there was a huge wedding and the kids from the wedding entered our conference room while we were eating dinner. A ceiling tile also fell in one of the rooms and while walking through the hotel, i saw water pouring like a waterfall from the ceiling and several ceiling tiles on the floor as a result.

Kristina at the front desk was AMAZING!! She was super polite, a true customer service blessings. We have an event tomorrow and she was super HELPFUL!!

The hotel was clean. The mattress felt like they used an old mattress and covered it with several sheets. I couldn't get the temperature comfortable. There was no hand soap, so you have to use the body wash from the shower. You have to get out of the shower to grab your towel or throw it over the shower rod.
