Our Airbnb host recommended this spot and I actually had it bookmarked prior to visiting. We decided to come on a Sunday night for dinner. The restaurant was chaotic and very overstimulating; granted it was Palm Sunday and the beginning of Semana Santa. Unsure where to sit or stand, we shuffled around before we somehow found a standing spot at the bar.
We ordered a vino manzanilla to drink as we perused the menu to order. Did not expect the vino to be so strong, but it def had a kick.
We ordered the espinaca con garbanzo, merluza y gambas, and choco Fritos. All which were simple, but very delicious! The choco fritos were chunky and fried to a crispy perfection. The espinaca was flavorful and rich. But my favorite had to be the merluza y gambas. It came out piping hot! The fish and shrimp were so meaty, tender and the oil soaked up so well with the bread they had given us.
We wanted to return to try some other items on their menu, but never got around to it. This would be a spot we would return to though!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 6, 2023
Our first meal in Seville was based on a local's recommendation to try Bar Dos de Mayo.
We dropped in on a Friday evening (7:00pm). Service is rough around the edges but the food comes out incredibly quick.
All the plates we ordered were tapas size. Menu is massive and available in several languages.
- Pan y picos (0,90€) - they charged us for bread even though we gave the basket back.
- Binomio Reserva tempranillo - graciano (2,90€)
- Ensaladilla de pulpo a la gallega (3,75€) - potato salad with bits of octopus. Wouldn't get again.
- Paleta ibérica de bellota jabugo (3,90€) - iberico ham was good.
- Bacalao al estilo de la viuda (3,75€) - their house special. Cod was tender, rich sauce.
- Rosada al romero (3,80€) - was supposed to be pink-cusk eel, but we were given a cod dish. Overcooked.
- Flor de alcachofa (3,90€) - grilled artichoke. Okay.
- Carrillada ibérica al jerez (3,65€) - stewed Iberian pork cheeks was homey.
Decent fare but nothing that impressed.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 8, 2024
Stopped by late night for some tapas since we were still a bit hungry. The food came out super fast and price was very affordable. The flamenquin tasted fantastic. I walked back to hotel and ended my day fully satisfied.

We came here based on all the good ratings. We ordered a few tapas, 5 to be exact Chorizo and shrimp and leek quiche, which we forgot to take pictures. The chorizo was good. Quiche was not. The anchovies, cod fritter, and pork medallions took over 45 minutes to come out even after checking three times. Services are lacking. There are more places to eat around here. I'm not sure why such a high rating. 1 1/2 hours for 5 tapas and 2 drinks is unacceptable

EN: My boyfriend and I were hungry and walking around the city and decided to stop by this place on the corner. The menu was thorough and had lots of language options if you don't speak Spanish. The waiters were nice, responsive, and our food came so fast. It was delicious!
ES: Mi novio y yo andábamos por la cuidad cuando vimos este sitio. La carta era muy buena con un montón de opciones. Los camareros eran muy simpáticos y rápidos. Fue delicioso!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandy N.Hutchinson Island, FL2283Apr 6, 2023

This was our first tapa spot when we landed in Spain. I did some research on Pinterest and Yelp before and this was recommended by locals and tourists! Our airbnb was conveniently located up the block from this restaurant. Even our airbnb host recommended this spot. There is outdoor seating with many few other bars/tapa restaurant in the same area. The night we were there, there was someone playing "All of Me" by John Legend on the saxophone. This totally made our first night in Sevilla memorable.
I would recommend the seafood salad, which comes with shrimp, octopus, onions, red and green peppers. We enjoyed it so much we ordered two of them! We ordered baby clams, which were fresh and came with this white wine sauce that was great for dipping with the baguette that they give you. We also ordered solomillo al whiskey topped with jamon, served on top of sliced potatoes and shishito peppers, grilled calamari and garlic prawns. The prawns were the small ones but they were soaked in garlic oil, what's there not to love?? I would recommend this tapa spot if you are looking for an authentic tapa spot and good outdoor vibes!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 8, 2020
This place was recommended to me by a Spanish friend so I gave it a go. When I sat down I had doubts about the place because the menu was translated into a few different languages which is always a sign that it's an overpriced tourist trap. Thankfully I was wrong. Everything I tried was really yummy and for under 4 euros for each tapas which is a bargain. I tried the house baked cod, zucchini "soufflé" and the seafood salad which were all delicious. On top of that the waiter was super friendly so I had a great dining experience.

This place was so good I came here twice within 2 days! I walked by this place and noticed how crowded it was, so I ended up coming here the next day at 12:30 PM when it opened. I wanted to make sure to get a seat ,and I was able to get one out on the terrace.
Whatever you do, order the goat cheese with carmelized onion! This was the best thing on the menu, and I came here the second time just for that alone! I ordered that, a goat cheese tapa with foie gras pate, mariscos salad, jamon serrano tapa, stewed pork cheeks, the pincho corodero, and a sirloin tapa iberico and a couple of other dishes which were all good and reasonably priced. The only thing I didn't care for here was the solomillo al whiskey, which was waaaay too salty. I felt like I swallowed the ocean. And it came with soggy fries. Otherwise, all of the other tapas here were delicious. Most tapas dishes ranged from 3 euro to 5 euro. I had more than enough food for only 18 euro - and that was more than I needed!

Not as good as it used to be... Una lástima!.... The quality of the food went downhill.
