Dollar General

I'm pretty sure the cashier was on something today. I went to check out she was muttering something under her breath. I did not know that they do not do cash back. And I wanted to take out 20$. she said "Oh we don't do cash back." I looked at the sign and said "oh I'm sorry I didn't see it." She proceeded to then shove the 20$ and receipt in my face! (I'm not exaggerating) Then my boyfriend went to check out and she muttered under her breath "Don't you see the fucking sign?" She was glaring at me the whole time while he was checking out. She's blond with facial piercings and shouldn't be working in customer service.

Well, it's a Dollar General. As a professional tightwad I find myself in their stores rather often, but I had to go to Ravenna today and passed one, so of course I said "Oh well I need some stuff."

What I did NOT need was the attitude I got from one of the employees. Of course there was no nametag so I'll just say he had a horrible Flock of Seagulls x Justin Bieber haircut. When I asked where the bathroom was, the answer I got was, "Up front, where they always are!" He finished it with a disgusted sigh and marched away.

Well EXCUSE ME. I realize this fellow probably does not have a passion for his job. I get that. But I was polite and I said "Please."

Biebs, I know life isn't easy, but as a paying customer you don't have to cop an attitude.

The place was a complete mess inside and out. Empty shelves in some places while many items are strewn about on the floors. I realize it's just after Christmas and they are moving the holiday items, but I wasn't concerned about that. There is no reason for the entire store to be such a mess. The parking lot was full of all kinds of trash. I'm guessing no one sweeps out there. I almost stepped on a used condom getting out of my vehicle. Please Dollar General, get things cleaned up. There are people who might need to take their children into that mess. Hire a cashier that knows the job and is mature enough to handle a customer.

This place is disgusting. There's dirt everywhere, and the attitudes of the management were foul. Lots of smirks, eye-rolling, that sort of thing. Really made me feel like part of the Dollar General family. Edit- no soap to wash my hands with?! WTF
