The Nurse Practitioner was the best!! I had a sliver under my nail and had made a appoint CVS and the nurse there told me she was not going to even try poking around under my nail and this wonderful calm NO at Doctors Care was gentle and victoriousHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - KIM C.Waxhaw, NC02Mar 8, 2024
Terrible experience. NP was rude, in a hurry & condescending. I left feeling terrible without any treatments offered. Her clinical judgement is questionable. Go somewhere else.

Front desk, intake nurse and Doc were all very nice and knowledgeable. I was in and out fairly quickly. I have been going there for over 20 years. Different faces over the years, but the same values and work ethic are behind those faces.

Went to the office during a vacation trip to the area. The care received was excellent; however, the follow up for test results took 3 hours of waiting on the phone. Attempted to login to their online portal which was non functional. Attempted to get technical support for the online portal and was advised to call the office number listed on my correspondence as the technical support representative was a 3rd party service and could only assist with logging in.
Finally - had a person pick up the phone and was told the test results were normal and to continue the treament which had ended 6 weeks prior. As it turns out they Doctors Care office entered my phone number incorrectly into their system and kept calling the wrong person. A letter 6 weeks after the visit was sent. However, a simple all test were negative would have saved me hours of hold time and frustration.
I can't recommend the administrative staff or the support staff of this organization. Medical staff was very attentive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Alexandra B.Edinburgh, United Kingdom02Jul 26, 2022
Very Frustrated- my little baby (9 months old) had a very visible double ear infection while on vacation in N Myrtle Beach. We went to Doctors Care N Myrtle beach (phoned ahead, confirmed availability etc.). On arrival we had to fill in multiple forms (as expected). We then had to wait 4.5 HOURS to be seen by a doctor.... the wait, with a very uncomfortable, in pain, infant is excruciating! When enquiring, we were told that there was ONE PA/ Doctor on duty (no-one else) and she was busy with a trauma... the PA finally (after 4.5 hrs. waiting) saw us. She concluded that baby had a double ear infection and prescribed antibiotics. We proceeded to head to the nearest Walmart (suggested by the care team) to pick up the medicine. On arrival at the Walmart Pharmacy, they advised that not only did they not stock the dosage by the PA, they had checked with EIGHT near by locations and non had that specific requirement. It was unusual and not something on hand... we called the doctor and the doctor was apparently offline and unavailable to the following week. Customer care was absolutely useless trying to get the issue resolved while a 9 month old cried them self to sleep for two days. Thank goodness for Walmart, being able to source the right dosage in time for our return flight home.
Horrific service; horrific customer service and just sad/ disappointing all the way through!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

So let me first start out by saying that I did arrive at the location at 5:01 pm and they close at 5:00. My wife woke me up to tell me to go get strep test as our boys have it and I was sleeping a lot.
I get to the red light and realize the clock isn't working in my favor. I have my wife call and inform them that beach traffic is working against me and to please allow me to get seen. The lady Rachel Pertelle (what she said her name was) was quite rude and nasty. She said clearly no. Again I recognize 1 minute late is over their time but this company comes into our community to "help" but when you need them to help by 60 seconds they don't.
So when I get to the doctors care i see she locked the door. The man in the car by the door said she locked it 5 mins ago, that's funny because it was only 5:01.
I knock on the door and a very rude lady answers and informs me she knows who I am my wife called and no she won't see us. I ask her to please check with the doctor, that we live here and bring our family all the time here. She is rude and nasty and said no in a nasty way. He has this cocky attitude that she's happy that I missed the door closing. That's not genuine care for patients. That's poor customer service.
1 minute is 1 minute, but she could response in a professional caring attitude, which she didn't. So if you ever need a doctor, please please check out one of our other medical facilities and leave Rachel Parcell and the rest of Doctor's Care alone, because they don't "Care".Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tracey K.Charles Town, WV02Sep 12, 2022

Needed medical assistance in a pinch today and Doctors Care more than met my need. This was my first visit to Doctors Care but I was very pleased with the experience. I was a walk in and they indicated it would be a 90-minute wait to see a medical professional (PA / Nurse). It actually worked out that we were in and out in 90-minutes. The staff had great bed side manner from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the PA that offered treatment. I could not have been happier. I was not responsible for any payment at departure so I can not offer feedback on the billing experience yet. A big thank you to Doctors Care.

You can check in online if you want to waste your time. I checked in at 10:09 this morning received 2 texts, 1 to tell me my arrival time was 12:28, the next saying they were running behind to arrive at 1:17. I arrived at 1:00. It is 1:55 and they are running behind they say, checking In online Is a waste of time they are seeing whoever is in the lobby with no regard for you taking the time to check in and not have to sit in a waiting room not only spreading your germs but being subjected to other sick people.

Solid 3 stars. Wait time with online booking was only about 25 minutes after arrival, not bad for same day appointment. Staff was competent but not terribly friendly. Little stuff like not asking 'please' when asking for your documentation. When I asked the PA/Dr. (not sure because she didnt introduce herself with her title) how long it usually takes to process a prescription she said 'I dont know - I dont work at the pharmacy...'
Anyway, got my medicine for my swimmer's ear from swimming in the bacteria laden Myrtle Beach so I was happy enough I suppose.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
