      A 5 star review for the DMV? What in the world!? Booked an appointment online last week for 10:00, I rolled up at 9:49, and I left at 9:58. Unheard of, and unbelievable. I had to write about it!

      I have to change my license every couple of years thanks to how often we move due to work and because I'm on a visa. I've waited 3 hours before for an address change, so you know ya girl brought snacks. But, this time, I booked an appointment online, prefilled the form, printed it out, brought it in with me, and I was out before my appointment time. Crazy!

      This place isn't the devil, and the staff member who assisted me was so nice. Let's see how that new photo turns out though...

      Miracles happen from time to time! I was in and out in 23 minutes! Everyone was super nice ! The person who was helping me went way over the top to help in a very stressful situation! She is a DMV angel!

      I had great service from Mrs. Tamikia Scott-Rush. She was extraordinarily patient and very efficient. I had been to the DMV the two days before, this was my third try to work out a new title and registration. The first time, I lacked all the paper work, but the agent was very helpful. The next day the internet was down, but third time was a charm. Mrs. Scott-Rush was very charming as well as very helpful. Even when I lacked a specific paper, she let me substitute it with another. All the while she smiled and was very pleasant. I thank God for Mrs. Scott-Rush and her assistance in registering our church van and changing the title.

      Okay so it's the DMV... if I saw a 5 star review it's probably fake. With that said, I like the new appointment system. Instead of wasting an entire day waiting for your number to be called, now you can sit in line virtually for 2-3 months to even get an appointment at all!! Honestly the DMV staff has always been rude and today was no exception, the guy groaned and rolled his eyes while doing my paperwork despite me remaining completely silent the whole time (sorry you have to do your job??) but to be honest the fact that I was in an out in under 30 minutes exceeded my expectations. Expect the workers to be totally rude but at least you don't have to sit there watching them waste your time all day anymore!

      no common sense, online booking for this location not available, walked in waited 20 min in a short line for information gal who says I can't run this through computer gave me a ticket, thirty more minutes later still waiting, checked again simply said yea your number is in there- i said the guys without appointments just went in front of me... they will not give you estimated time- when I showed her the time based on the scan she says oh, we dont go by that! not estimated time!!! unfriendly, inefficient suffrage! stay away

      Just kill me. They should not let the service reps doing nothing to be visible to those of us waiting for two hours on a simple title transfer.

      People say it's worth it for people from Charlottesville to make the hour drive to either Madison or Waynesboro and now I believe them. Next time I will go up to Madison. These people couldn't pour piss from a boot if the instructions were written on the heal.

      Ugh. That's how I feel anytime I have to come here. Every time I've been here, the experience has been pretty poor.

      Of course there is always a crowd. There is so much going on all the time and so many people to be waited on and way too little people to do the waiting on. I hate to say it, but it always seems like the employees are taking the longest time possible, not in any rush, and sometimes doing nothing at all.

      There's not really much else to say. On the plus side, the setup is kind of nice and the waiting area is nice and big and seemingly clean. Good thing, because most likely you'll be waiting a loooong time.

      It's hard to imagine a worse experience than this. Even if you try to beat the rush by arriving before they open you'll still be stuck in line. As others have said before: use your time to drive to any other DMV location in the state.

      If the goal was to provide the worst customer service possible, then it would be five stars. I was hoping that by having to schedule an appointment and completing the paperwork online that it would be better than the usual atrocious experience. The ladies outside who checked me in were pleasant and so was the Information Desk but the last individual who had to actually work (heaven forbid) was your stereotypical rude unhelpful bitter woman who resented having to work. They must screen candidates for the most miserable unhappy rude people possible. I've worked in the Middle East and my experience in obtaining a Driver's License and an ID there was a vacation in comparison. Thanks DMV for continuing to excel in the providing horrible customer service. Your staff can't possible be overworked which is usually the excuse.

      And several employees insisted on wearing their masks incorrectly - noses exposed. Ridiculous.

      I want to thank everyone at the Charlottesville, Virginia DMV, for their professional and wonderful care and patience I saw today when my brother was by there to renew his driver's license. Thanks again and be safe!
