This is the sweetest shop! There is plenty of yarn as well as cute gifts and trinkets. They also have a really cool writing desk where you can write a card and send a letter in their mailbox. I love that everything is local or from consignment. We will definitely be frequent visitors here.

The CUTEST fabric! They have a great selection of pre-cut fabric too. Love stopping in here to pick out a fun print for a new project.

Nice little store ... a bit on the small side with the number of offerings they present you, but it is worth a stop. Some yarns, books, and needles and things but not a wide selection. They also have local and handmade gift items to buy and bring home. Some vintage jewelry, lots of locally-made earrings. Some glassware and cups, some soaps and greeting cards. All in all a kitschy kind of place with an eclectic assortment of goods.

Yarn selection is mainly acrylic and rayon. Has a bit of malabrigo worsted but not a ton of choices. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, when I visited the person working was heavily occupied with what I assume was a regular talking about movies and politics. Pricing structure was a bit all over the place. I'd say this was more of a kitsch shop than a yarn shop.

Thanks for your feedback, Holley. We welcome you to come back and visit Digs for a second look- the only acrylic and rayon yarn we carry is in our $3 Bargain Bin. Our yarn selection is all 100% wool or wool blends, with a few cotton selections as well. We are 1/3 yarn shop, 1/3 fabric shop and 1/3 gift shop- a bit of everything but not a ton of one category- something for everyone! One of the greatest things about being a neighborhood shop is the familiar faces that come in for a friendly hello and lively conversation- We love Kingfield and our regulars. We do pride ourselves in not hovering over our customers while they browse the shop, although our apologies if the lively conversation deterred you away from asking any questions. Cheers!

Uh - I didn't think it would be possible to be this excited about a store...
I was looking for a new place to get yarn. I stumbled across this store on yelp and saw the raving 5 star reviews. I decided to give it a try.
Upon entering, the store seemed small. I noticed the local handmade items and got really excited. The prices were great and I wanted to take half of everything home. As I swing over to the right, I notice the store gets bigger. Then I see yarn.. fabric. lace.. greatness! I was so excited. I almost wanted to throw my hands in the air and run around. I was touching everything and holding/looking at anything I could. This store is awesome!
The fabric selection is not like your Joannes, this is quality, unique stuff. The yarn, although not a huge selection, they had everything I needed. Fun colors, good quality. I even bought this, DIY fox pillow kit. Ahh! I love it.
I asked the woman at the front counter if she was the owner and she said she was. I told her how excited I was to have found the store. She was a sweetheart.
Anyways - as you can tell by this review, this store is worth checking out. You won't be disappointed.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katie G.Minneapolis, MN1203Oct 30, 2011First to Review
I was excited when I saw the storefront of this adorable gift shop two blocks from home, boasting of hand-maid stationary and local jewelry. But I was overcome with joy once I realized that this amazing little shop was also a high quality yarn and fabric craft store. There goes my paycheck!
The owner just moved her shop from Northfield to uptown, if you are a crafter in the area, its well worth the trip to check out her great selection of yummy yarns, and Amy Butler fabrics.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jennifer P.Menlo Park, CA3481Jun 11, 2013
I loved visiting this store! Fun, unique, artsy products.
I bought a mug in the store, and decided to buy a whole set after I got home to CA.
They were great about helping me with purchase and shipping. And when I had a problem with one of the mugs, they were great about working with me to get another.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tara O.Saint Paul, MN12513338Dec 21, 2015
Digs is an awesome little shop in Kingfield that is a great place to check out if you're looking for cute, crafty gifts. Or if you're into knitting, crocheting, or quilting, this place has ample supplies for your next project. I recently bought some great Minnesota-themed birthday gifts from here and realized that from now on, I must only go to Digs under the supervision of another adult - I simply spend too much money otherwise.

This is the fabric store that I have been looking for. There are so many different patterns - I could spend hours touching the fabrics and dreaming up new projects in which I can incorporate them. I was there four days ago and am already looking for excuses to return.
Aside from the amazing selection of fabrics, yarns, and ribbons, there are locally created crafts ranging from journals to cards to jewelry, to pottery, etc. It is a great store in an adorable neighborhood and a lovely place to find a little gift or two for someone special.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
