Diagnostic Eye Center

If you are getting ready to have your cataracts removed you probably are reading this because you haven't decided where to have it done.

I have just gone through the process and I am extremely happy with the choice I made. Following the recommendation of a friend, I chose the Diagnostic Eye Center. Here are some of the reasons I think it's your best bet.

I highly recommend Dr Andrew Salem. He performed surgery on my right eye and did an excellent job. He is not only the best at what he does but his office staff and associates ( Ryan/Dr Bell/Tim) are the best!

I recently got LASIK at Diagnostic eye center and I can't express enough how comfortable the staff made me feel! From my first visit to the day of the procedure I was put at ease even with the nerves I had before! I came from Austin because that's how sure I was of where I wanted to get my Lasik done. I was also seeing 20/15 the next day thanks to Dr. Parra and it has already been life changing!

I had a LASIK consultation at diagnostic eye center back in 2018. Three of my friends had their surgeries done here, so I wanted to check them out. After a thorough exam I was told that my right eye was too thin for LASIK or PRK and surgery wasn't recommended. I appreciated Dr. Salem's honesty & I think knowing when to say "no" is huge in medicine! I continued to come here for routine optho care while live in Houston & it was always a pleasant experience

Fast forward to 2023 and I received a $6 reimbursement check from Diagnostic Eye Center for a visit from 12/2018! I now live in Seattle & they somehow found me, after having the check returned to sender. I literally laughed out loud; I had no idea this was owed to me or what it was for (just says patient refund), but I bought a boba tea with it, so thank you Dr. Sanders & whoever processed this refund 5 years later.

Tons of respect for this place...honest doctors & you are definitely not getting ripped off here. I wish my eyes were suitable for surgery because I'd definitely come here.

Went in for my annual eye exam and Lindie was amazing with helping me find frames and adjust them to fit my face! She was extremely patient and kind, and listened to all my concerns to make sure I left with a pair of glasses that I felt comfortable with! Thank you so much!

I recently gotten LASIK & hands down the best thing I've done for myself! I wore glasses/contacts for 20 years & my local optometrist referred me to Dr. Salem & I must say, 100% recommend!! My overall experience was beyond amazing from start to finish, consultation to surgery. Berenice, Marc & Dr. Elizabeth we're truly amazing & professional throughout the entire process. Dr. Salem & his surgical staff were wonderful & walked me through the entire process in what to expect preop, during, & postop. I was truly nervous to be the patient this time but I was definitely at ease being in their hands. I can tell they truly care for their patients & love what they do!

This review for Diagnostic Eye Center ("DEC") is a little overdue, as I got my laser eye surgery done about 5 years ago, but I had such a positive experience that I thought it would be good to write one.

First off, DEC is a great place to go to if you are looking for an eye doctor. Everyone is very friendly, the doctors take their time with you, and the overall experience is pleasant.

Regarding my eye surgery: I did a ton of research and ended up deciding to do PRK at DEC. This was based on reviews and my previous experience with them. One thing that I really appreciated was how thorough their screening process was. It was clear they were not just trying to drive sales - they were doing what was best for the patient. I remember the day of the surgery they did one final screening check to make sure everything was good to go for me. It was very reassuring and appreciated. They also asked me what music I wanted to listen to during the surgery, which was nice of them. The follow up check ups went well and the recovery was quick.

I had such a great experience I recommended DEC to a friend who got LASIK done at the same place and had a similar experience. I highly recommend it to everyone considering laser eye surgery or looking for an eye doctor.

I have used Diagnostic Eye Center for three years. Dr. Sanders and Dr. Lozano are exceptional. They are thorough and they communicate medical information skillfully. They are warm and have great rapport with the patient. Their entire office staff are very professional and well trained. I certainly recommend the care at Diagnostic Eye Center to anyone.
