Diablo Mountain Inn

Thank you for providing a joint that was comforting with all the unnecessary bells and whistles. This was a Great place to stay. Nice amenities for a non-chain hotel.

Only caveat if that bothers you is freeway noise from up on high. Our AC was running so we really didn't hear it. So not a bother to us.

The good things:

Our room had a Queen with a twin and a trundle!
Extremely large closet for some reason

Ice machine

Very friendly texts from staff before arrival

It's right by the freeway - but that wasn't the noise! We stayed on the first floor and every time we heard a door open, it sounded like it was IN your room. Multiple times I woke up and thought someone was creeping around. And every step that the people above us made sounded like loud squeaks and freaks. But the worst was night #2. We were awoken at 4am but what we sounded like someone playing life size chess above us. What requires people to make so much movement on the floor at 4am?! From left to right, almost like they had 12 people just walking from left to right to left to right. Or maybe they'd been living in the room for 6 months and had to move out in a rush. Then after about an hour or us trying piece together this unfortunate mystery, we heard wheels on the floor, and hoped that was a sign of packed suitcases. It was! They left. We could finally sleep after 5:30, but the lack of sleep wasn't worth risking another night. Maybe if we stayed on the top floor next time, but beware of the sounds on the first floor. Even with a sleep machine at high volume, we could hear everything.

Diablo Mountain Inn was perfect for our stay. We were able to walk downtown safely at night for a dinner with friends. The room was immaculate. Simply furnished with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and plenty of outlets for whatever device you may have. Very comfortable.

I can't recommend Diablo Mountain Inn enough! The rooms are very pleasant, comfortable and clean. The general and housekeeping staff are the best - always professional yet friendly and very helpful - with a smile on their face! Yes, there is freeway noise and from Mt. Diablo Blvd., but ear plugs can take care of that! Highly recommend!!!

I wish I could give this motel a million stars because of the employee, Chance! She turns this motel into a home. Chance is warm, professional and goes above and beyond to make all of the guests comfortable. It's a clean and well situated place. I highly recommend.

For anyone who has stayed at Motel 6 and wants to get away from the police activity, the annoying housekeepers knocking, etc. Then this Inn is a DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH. It was like a breath of fresh air honestly. Comfy bed, beautiful remodeled bathroom. (Side note: I don't like the soap/shampoo dispensers because prior guests can sabatoge). WiFi was strong the whole time, TV cable was decent. Staff was friendly. Definitely will be back. Price was a bit higher but I don't mind paying for quiet and a good nights rest.

I can't leave 5 stars just on principle but this place is great. Super friendly staff, rooms and nice and clean, bed was very comfy. I'd stay here again in a second.

Not many complaints here other than the freeway noise but that was easily covered up by turning the fan on low.

Check in was a breeze. The young man who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. He answered all of my questions and was full of knowledge.

My room was great, I lucked out and got one farther from the freeway with no upstairs units either. The room was very clean and roomy. There was plenty of room to spread out. There was a nice bed, 2 end tables, a desk area, a nice comfy chair I drank my coffee and watch the news in, there is a separate "closet" area with plenty of room for your luggage and to hang things and then the bathroom was nice. Everything was updated and new. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a microwave and large fridge in the room.

I always check beds before I get too comfortable in the room, the bed was clean and no sign of any critters! Also, I struggle with beds in hotels (I have a sleep # at home for a reason) and I slept really well both nights and didn't wake up in pain the next day so this is a HUGE WIN for me!

Your stay includes free parking and continental breakfast which gets the job done.

Overall, I really have no complaints. Price was very reasonable, check in was easy, staff was friendly, clean spacious room with everything you need and more, free parking and breakfast included. I would stay here again... but bring ear plugs next time.

When I visited this inn, it was neat, well kept, and management was very polite and caring.

This is a smaller, not-corporate feeling place that appears to not need maintenance or other attention - room was tidy, not terribly large, obviously redone recently enough, and good enough for a night's rest but was no palace, either. You can go elsewhere and pay triple if that's what you need - I'm more about practicality at a reasonable price, personally.

Manager went out of her way to make sure that I got everything that I was needing - this place is just fine with me!

Absolutely perfect. Great rate on what appeared to be a newly updated room with a comfortable king bed. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap all provided in dispensers. Refrigerator and microwave and coffee, everything I needed. The place was so clean that I didn't feel like I had to wipe everything down. Very quiet slept great every night.
