Dharma Blue in Downtown Pensacola is a gem that enjoyed one Thursday night; we were delighted to find that our reservation led to a prompt seating for our trio. Our server, Lizz (or Liz, apologies for the spelling uncertainty), proved to be a true guiding star. She expertly navigated us through the menu, offering her recommendations with a smile.
To kick off our culinary journey, we started with an Edamame appetizer that was generously portioned for three. For our main course, we ventured into the world of sushi. I personally indulged in the Dharma Roll and the Surf and Turf Roll. The sushi showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients, even if it didn't quite sail into the waters of culinary uniqueness.
The restaurant's interior had a cozy, intimate feel, but it did tend to get a bit noisy as the evening went on. The menu's pricing might be a tad higher than what one might anticipate, but it's not so steep that it would discourage us from returning for another gastronomic expedition.
All in all, we'd rate our experience at Dharma Blue with a solid 4/5 stars. We'd certainly chart a course back to dine there again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jeannette H.Navarre, FL4241Apr 20, 2024
OMG had the most AMAZING meal tonight at DHARMA BLUES. We haven't eaten here in years. We ordered the Pork Tenderloin with Maduras( plantains) pan seared with black beans and pickled onions( I think) all of that specially made by Chef Brian was one of the BEST meals we have had anywhere of late. Never would have thought it. Krista was a terrific server and a delight with our great meal!!
We.will be back soon!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 19, 2024
Stopped in on a Thursday night with our local friends. The place was absolutely jamming! Parking is a premium in the area! Good luck. We had reservations for 6:30 PM and were seated on time. We open with a round of cocktails. Dharma cocktails for the girls, I had one of their specialty cocktails, and our friend had a Woodford reserve Manhattan. Regretfully this is the only down check of our visit. The Dharma cocktails and my special cocktail just was missing something. Not balanced at all. That said we ordered a starter of bruschetta which was out of this world as well as a side salad and side Caesar salad to open. Deliciousness! For our main courses, the girls both ordered the fillet of beef while the men ordered sushi rolls. We were advised that the sushi was running 45 to 55 minutes which we agreed to. Our meals came out about on that time frame and we're absolutely spectacular. It's been a few years since I had really good sushi rolls. The setting of the restaurant itself is in a house on the corner. The decor was lovely and eclectic. If we were ever back in this area again, I know will be trying them (as long as we can find parking :-).

We tried for the Monday special ($2 off rolls when you dine in) and were not disappointed! The rolls are a tad more expensive than most places in the area but they are very unique and delicious. I recommend trying the sunset roll - so different! The drinks were great too - they have a huge "mule" menu.
The restaurant itself is in an adorable, walkable little area full of historic homes. My only recommendation would be that they play some soft music inside or outside as it was very quiet. But that may be an ordinance for the area because we noticed that most restaurants nearby didn't have music.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Danny L.Santa Barbara, CA5611Apr 12, 2024

Well here's another hidden gem here in Pensacola I'd say. I was definitely looking for a good sea/sushi place and this one was amazing!! I had the Dharma salad to start and it was simple but very tasty, then I had the chiefs special that was Mahi Mahi with pork belly black eyed peas and a crawfish gravy . Highly recommend this if it's on the menu then my friend had the crunchy shrimp roll and the surf n turf roll. Everything was very delicious! The service was spot on very friendly and helpful on all our questions and also attentive we didn't have to ask for any drink refills! The ambiance was hip but laid back very cool spot to have a nice dinner and drinks. I also had a Jack n Coke that could of used a little more Jack but still wasn't bad at all.

Located in one of Pensacola's historic districts, I was really excited to go. Arriving inside, the decor is a mix of blues and a hodgepodge of pictures, mirrors, etc. with a bustling staff. I was seated quickly, but the service was slow - very slow. I ordered two sushi rolls, which took over 25 minutes to receive. I was very disappointed as the rolls had zero creativity in plating, and the cold rolls - being more room-temp than cool or cold, which sushi should be served at, as a standard.
Street parking is available, and seating is a little tight in certain areas. It was comforting to see that the hostess was fastidious with her Covid precautions - mask with frequent antibacterial cleansing.
I really wanted to like Dharma Blue, but for sushi, I cannot recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John M.FL, FL1919Mar 31, 2024
Great ambience both inside and outside seating. If you want sushi in town this is the place to go. Great for date night but also family friendly. Service is usually excellent but be patient on busy Friday and Saturday nights. Drinks are good most times - Two recent spicy Bloody Mary's looked great but were disappointing (weak and lacked flavor). But we've had other drinks here that have been just fine. Chef Brian always tries to please with specials and provide variety
