Due to everything going on I was so happy to have been able to book an appointment within a month online. Although when I went in for my appointment turned out that they did do walk ins. But I do recommend trying to do online so you have everything inputted in the computer and everything will be good to go.
Came in and had my temp scanned and all the chairs are separated to 6 feet apart. I did see that even if you come in with a friend or family member, that they still required you to sit apart. So I would probably recommend coming alone or having them wait in the car.
Overall everything was fast and friendly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - John B.The Parkway, Folsom, CA06Jun 21, 2022
Arrived, gave me an appointment to come back at 10:00. Then, the asshole gives me a ticket so I can wait in line for two hours. Why didn't he give me a ticket when i arrived? What an asshole and the worst DMV in America. I'm 100% disabled and they could care less. Also, their website Does Not Work. Better to drive to a Seattle office than have them lie to you. He should be fired!!!!
Gave them a 1 star only cause you can't give them a zero or negative rating.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Isaac C.Seattle, WA03Jun 6, 2023
this place is the literal definition of a fucking joke. let's starts if with how uneducated the staff is I went to get a new license and they told me I needed a history of my driving record from Texas so once I got it I went back and then they said you gotta print it out I do that go back and now the documents didn't work when my birth certificate was literally the original copy and they tried to say it wasn't. I then had a picture to prove i used to have a license but it was lost all the details on the license matched the social and the you could easily tell it was me in the picture you could just tell they don't like helping people easily proved my identity they just wouldn't help total waste of my gas and time on multiple occasions wouldn't recommend at all save your time

Kudos to you state of Washington on making part of the DMV process super easy.
My grandmother needed to get an ID card renewed since she was having a birthday and it was about to expire. Coming from California, I automatically assumed that this would be an all day procedure since she told me that no appointment was made.
Pulling into a deserted parking lot in a desolate strip mall, I thought we were in the wrong place. There was literally no one else there. We walked in, told the greeter what we needed and were immediately issued a ticket. Before we could even sit down, her number was called. I'm thinking they only gave her a ticket because it was procedure, but it was still pretty awesome.
She gets to the counter, pays her $53 + a $2 credit card fee and within minutes is told that it was picture time. She wasn't thrilled with her first one... and the lady asked if she wanted to do it again. What kind of bizarro world was this? When I got my picture taken here in California, they didn't even give me a countdown. I was just told to stand on a line and in a flash, a terrible pic was taken without being ready.
This whole visit took less than 10 minutes from the time we parked the car, unloaded her walker and went through the completely painless process. I wish every trip to get something DMV related was this easy, maybe then people would take care of things in a more efficient manner!Helpful 25Thanks 0Love this 28Oh no 0 - Tony H.Bremerton, WA1638Jun 17, 2017
I cannot believe I'm sitting here listening to one of the folks behind the photo counter giving shady advice to a customer on how to get out of traffic tickets and garnishments. I'm not an attorney, but it doesn't sound like legal advice to me. Everyone else has been kind and attentive. The lines have been moving fairly quick.

Nasty location in a sad grubby failing strip mall which is depressing to visit. Dreadful space for the DoL itself, it must be terrible to have to spend every day all day here as an employee. It was closed for a long time when the ceiling failed or was it the plumbing exploded I forget which, but had to go all the way to Poulsbo and turned out they rate a better space. Bremertonoids just never can have nice things.

If you go to the DOL website you can see a ticker of the estimated wait time. It's synchronized to the tickets pulled at the building.
The place is spacious, at least. Right between a liqueur store and a Casino! What a great location. Single shots right near the register. That will speed things up a bit!
Keeping yourself entertained on your phone is a must in order to stay sane the entirety of the wait. Plan on doing some wondering to the neighborhood casino for some free coffee and maybe a few hands of blackjack. No worries, your ticket number saves your place in line. You can do an estimated guess of how much longer you have to wait based on how long everyone is taking. There's specific lines for certain numbers. so if you're hearing 100's and yours is 800-something...DON'T FREAK, it's not that bad..You're in line for something totally different.
If you forgot to eat breakfast and it's running into lunch time, call Pizza Hut for delivery. They'll walk it down to you. Don't worry, they've done it before.
Also, for the chain smokers...if you smoked your carton waiting, there's also a smoke shop nearby. I hear the owner of the place is retiring soon to live in Maui. Give him some love!
The staff here is very nice, helpful, and educated. I've seen the same faces since I got my license decades ago when DOL was in a different location. This isn't fast food, people. Don't expect the employees to be rushing for you. The job is very mundane and they feel conformable going at a medium pace (I still hear that and fall back on the horrific Adam Sandler song). Simply bring a snack and put on your headphones. You knew you'd be waiting. It's really as good as it can get.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - A C.Bremerton, WA01127Jun 10, 2019
On May 29, 2019, I obtained an EDL around 2PM in window 1. She was courteous and she gets my FIVE!
