WOW! I went here mainly because I got a coupon from them at a quilting show and, as we quilters know, we can NEVER have enough fabric!
WOW! So I didn't know what to expect, however I must say this is far and away the best fabric shop I've been to in the Denver metro area.
The clearance section is varied and the prices are so reasonable! they even sell smaller sections of fabric by the pound! I browsed through the clearance section and was able to find some patterned denim and Jersey fabric at a significant reduction from regular prices.
The thing that so impressed me about this store was the wide selection of fabric for sewing and crafting. Notions had a huge section and everything was very reasonably priced.
They have a quilting section, but it is so much more then a quilt shop. he quilting section the prices were reasonable about which you would expect in any reputable quilt shop.
I must say, while this was my 1st time at Colorado Fabrics I it won't be my last. I'll be back again soon .... or maybe not so soon seeing how I spent quite a bit .... :-)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amy R.Indianapolis, IN223233172Jun 21, 2019
I was super excited for this store when I read about then online, but the experience was underwhelming. I'm only giving them three stars because of the employees helpfulness. It's a huge store and looks like they classes available both with regular machines and long arm quilting. They have an extensive speciality bridal fabric selection.
Now really into why I wasn't impressed. The organization of the store is confusing. I was there mainly to look for fashion wool. Most fabric stores have a wool section. Not here... It was scattered in three different places and the selection for the size of the store was dismal at best. They have a huge selection of home decorating fabrics, quilting material, and the bridal specialty so if that is what you all looking for, you are set. I also needed to pick up a few basics like hook and eyes. Nope... Their entire notions section was almost completely empty. It looked like they hadn't ordered any in months.
Not sure that I will be back, but I may give them a second chance.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Chef Peter C.Greer, SC4465Nov 5, 2019

Denver Fabrics, lots of Fabrics and other neat stuffs Oh My! Both Hubs and I like this store. Was here on Thursday December 9th 2010. Hubs needed some fabric for his pet project. While I'm here browsing for potential ideas and cloth materials that I might need in the future.
Yes they have lots of fabric to choose. They even have those on SALE, meaning cut to a certain yard lengths. Though I cant deny the price varies from reasonable to expensive, but oh well, I cant help I like this store of FABRIC GALORE!
The staff who, assist us in finding, cutting the material we want, was indeed helpful and accommodating. She even suggests several other options in case we might need those in the future.
All in all, a good experience shopping here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 3753453884Nov 13, 2018
Super friendly and helpful staff. They didn't have the exact fabric I was looking for but everyone was so nice and helpful. I can't wait to use them for future projects.

Best fabric store in CO! It is truly a destination store for all crafters and sewers. They have an extensive collection of all types of linens, fleece, textiles, silks, & designer fabrics straight from NYC. Plus they moved to Aurora off of Parker Rd. So convenient and what a beautiful new space. I love the new layout of the store and how organized it all is. Even the lighting is bright and fresh. Everything is easy to navigate with great signage. I got a chance to attend their Chamber ribbon cutting and one year anniversary. It's awesome that they are chamber members. It was so wonderful to hear their story and how the owner started off as a client/shopper to working there part time to running the department to purchasing the store from the first owners to celebrating 30 years in Business. I hat a story! Plus their mission is about community and continues to pay it forward. CF supports many nonprofits but one story that touched my heart was how their quilting clubs make intricate, difficult quilts of art for veterans and their families. In addition to giving back, they continue to provide classes to bring the skill of sewing back to the community. They have an assortment of classes where they provide you with brand new fancy machines. You can learn to re-upholster your furniture to quilting to basic sewing skills like how to hem or sew a button. I was also so impressed to see the incredible play area for kiddos. It is a family friendly shopping experience with a tv and plat house. Thank you to CF! I am grateful that you are in the Aurora community!

I love this store, and I just found I think the perfect material for my next project. Alexi was helping me with some fabric pairings I was working with, and helping me put them on hold. She was so knowledgeable about the different materials, and was honestly a huge help being a new set of eyes on my fabrics for me.
But I did want to comment on something that rubbed me a bit the wrong way. Someone came up to us while one of my friends was grabbing another fabric to be cut, I think a manager?, and seemed to be reprimanding Alexi about something called "rolling fabrics"? It seemed like she was unhappy with Alexi over something, and it made me feel a bit awkward as a customer, and not the proper place to handle that, especially when Alexi was being such a big help.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie J.Littleton, CO7436Oct 13, 2016
Wow. I would give this place a negative star if it wasn't for their awesome selection. The women that work here are rude, disrespectful and have zero customer service skills. I bought a few items I needed to complete my daughter's Halloween costume today and I almost cried after leaving. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman in a store full of snobby hags! HORRIBLE!!!! I will drive an extra 5 miles to a Hobby Lobby before I ever step foot in this store again.

Best fabric store in Denver. The only store I know of in this area that offers an extensive selection of outdoor fabrics (cordura, ripstock, buckles). Also large selection of decorator fabrics, quilting supplies, notions, buttons, etc. Diverse inventory including bargain section. I even noticed swimsuit and silk sari fabrics today. The new location has a large room for classes. Great store! Wish it was closer to my home.

Don't bother. Hard to find an employee to check you out. I drove across town spent an hour looking for what I wanted, had the fabric cut but no one would bother to come up to the register to check me out. Go to Joann's instead. Better selection and you can actually buy what you went there for.
