Denise's Family Salon

Denise was a lucky find for us! My 13 yo son was in desperate need of a hair cut, long hair he began to neglect on a month long RV trip, yeah yuck! She was so excited to cut his hair and he loved her energy! He had no clue what he wanted and she gave the perfect suggestion that he was thrilled with!
Needless to say I was a little nervous and had been waiting for his hair person at home! It just couldn't wait any longer and thanks to yelp we found Denise! ***Bonus it was a Saturday, lowering the odds of finding someone so great!***
She was telling us how she just lost her spot due to a sale of the building, so don't let the new place and dated hair books fool you!
Denise is a funny witty artist who we enjoyed. Now I'm going to have to drive 4.5 hrs for a hair cut!

Denise is so awesome! Moving here 6 months ago, it is very hard finding a good place to get your hair done.. my hair was in super bad shape and she made it look brand new and amazing! Might I add, she's funny as hell! Can't wait to go back...:):)

Sounds like she doesn't have her own place anymore. But, she answered he cell phone and said where she worked, but couldn't take me til 4 p.m., which was too late. But 3 stars for answering her phone and stating her availability and new address, not to mention the price, which was more reasonable than the rest...

Pleased with my $40 haircut, but looks like she's moved. Any one know if she still has a salon locally?

I first came to Denise several years ago because I was having trouble with my hair. My hair stylist at the time didn't have any suggestions about how to improve my condition. Denise took the time to research solutions and together we tried several things that very shortly resulted in an improvement. Ever since I have been a loyal customer. Denise always takes time to make sure I am happy and helps me experiment with new styles and colors.

I stopped here for a haircut while on vacation. My hair had grown out to be very long, and I really wanted to shorten in. I took a picture of the styling I wanted. I walked in to the salon (without and appointment), and she was working on someone and said I could come back in 20 minutes. I came back and she went to work. She completed the style exactly as I wanted it, and I left satisfied.

I moved to Fort Bragg 6 months ago & called every place in town looking for someone to do my hair. Most places wanted $125 & up for a cut/color weave on my shoulder length hair. Denise is much more reasonable. She is a sweetheart & will make appointments around my work schedule. Great lady, does a great job & is FUN to be around!

Denise is the best! She's been styling my hair for several years now when we visit our place in Fort Bragg. She now does my husband too. I was happy to see her make the move to her own salon. A cozy, relaxing space. She has great, organic hair products as well. Come by and see her darlin' garden!
