The food and service are both very good.
If you love Mexican food but can't handle spicy foods, this is the place for you.
I think that their prices are very reasonable.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Vicki B.Spring, TX083Apr 21, 2024
We really like this restaurant. We love Mexican food. The food portions are generous. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly, polite, and attentive.
The restaurant is in an older building. The parking lot is usually crowded. This is a very popular family spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Clifford B.Houston, TX1159Apr 20, 2024Updated review
I would just like to say they had a problem with the salsa. It basically was tasteless and I had spoken to the manager, which is a very nice lady named Blanca and they fixed it. A matter of fact, she brought me several different samples to see which one I like the bestnow that's taken care of your customers so thank you very much

The salsa is absolutely boring no Spice no cilantro no real taste it's not worth eating it used to be decent and they changed it to unacceptable management, please fix the salsa
Oct 21, 2022Previous reviewThis little Mexican restaurant has been here for 35 years, we've been going to it for at least 30 extremely consistent reasonable and the food is good we have zero complaints,it's about the only place you can get a strawberry margarita that has a strawberry flavor and believe me they put plenty of alcohol little, give it a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed

Food is always great here! Always get seated right away when I show up. Sometimes they have bands playing on Fridays. It can be a bit over the top and hard to have conversations because you can't hear, but it is good music. Staff has always been super kind and accommodating. Definitely my go too place.

Met a friend for lunch and movie. This place is good for fajitas and margaritas
Kinda slow, Sat 12 noon, parking lot was half empty and we found a spot right up front. Usually we never find one up front but we usually also arrive at 6pm.
Seated quickly and drink order arrived fast. We ordered mixed fajitas and they were at the table within 5-7 mins.
This place has fast service for what we ordered and it's pretty good.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Dec 21, 2019Previous reviewBeen here a few times, first time checking in a leaving review.
Parking is limited because it's a shared lot in a strip mall.
Plenty of tables and plenty of room. Always seem to be seated quickly.
If you order the usuals like fajitas you get food within minutes.
I wanted to try something different so asked about Caldo De Pollo (chicken soup) at most Mexican places you get a huge bowl with a lot of stuff, when I asked waiter about it, waiter said is was a normal size bowl so I decided to pass. Then I saw Shrimp tacos so I thought let's try.
Very very disappointed!!!!! DO NOT order. I was expecting 3 large jumbo grilled shrimp (like you get at any other restaurant) but no these had the micro size shrimp you find in Cup of Soup you buy for .75 cents at Kroger/HEB. And they also included all the juice from the broth o guess they are boil in, so the tortillas fell apart. But either way they were horrible.
I have had approx 7-8 visits here and usually order fajitas because even a bad Mexican restaurant can't mess up fajitas. I guess next time I'll order fajitas like normal.
The other item I ordered once and was disappointed was the Carne Asada. Asked waiter if it was a thick pierce of meat and he said yes so I ordered medium. When it arrived it was thin as milanesa and that's is very thin and it was dry and horrible.
Stick to the margaritas and fajitas and you'll have a great time and enjoy.
Service is fast but the food shows why, Gordon Ramsey would not suggest this place. - Barry C.Houston, TX011Jan 6, 2024
I like Del Pueblo......I have been dining there for many years.
It is an old style neighborhood restaurant as opposed to a chain or a franchise.
It is Houston Tex-Mex. The service is good; the staff makes every effort to please.
I eat there about once per month and occasionally order delivery with Grub-Hub.
I am particularly like their enchiladas, soft tacos, rellenos and tamales.
And......their bathrooms are immaculately clean.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Patsy R.Houston, TX327679Nov 6, 2023
Cozy, fun, kitschy, cheap, delicious. All our favorite things. We love this place- strong margaritas, delicious food, it's our happy place- great date night spot.

This is my favorite place in the whole world. The cheese enchiladas are the best ever, I love the Cobb salad with grilled chicken, and their queso with tortillas. Highly recommend!
