Defiant Brewery in Pearl River is an absolute gem for both beer enthusiasts and foodies alike. I recently celebrated a friend's birthday here and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. From the diverse selection of beers to the mouthwatering brisket tacos, everything exceeded expectations. The ambiance is inviting with plenty of games like Connect 4, darts, and cornhole, making it a perfect spot for families too. The food quality deserves a solid 10/10, especially the brisket tacos, mac and cheese, and wings that practically fall off the bone. What sets Defiant Brewery apart is not just the delicious homemade BBQ sauce but also the overall welcoming atmosphere. If you're in Pearl River, this place is a must-visit.

My friends and I went one night for Trivia Night and had a nice time. We tried one of their ciders to drink and we enjoyed it.

We each got a BBQ platter for dinner - I had the smoked brisket and chicken wings on my platter, and it was really good BBQ! I was pleasantly surprised!

The one issue I had was when I tried to close our tab, they were implementing a new iPad system (at the time) and either entered my name wrong or something because they couldn't find me to close the tab.

They were a little rude in questioning if I had even opened the tab. They also were questioning if I gave the right name or if I gave it at all. It took 20 minutes to get the issue resolved, so it made the great night we had ended on a little bit of a sour note.

They are probably more experienced with their iPad system now, but it definitely was a pain when we went.

Loud, not-kid-friendly music, sub-par beer selection, nearly illegible beer menu. Will never go back. Two stars because the staff is friendly.

Lively brewery with many food and drink options. Located right next to the Pearl River train station. Their bbq is juicy and delicious! I recommend their baby back ribs and pulled pork.

Great beer, friendly service and amazing BBQ! This brewery is it! Nine beer selections when we visited and they are refreshing. Some are better than the others but that is relative to what you like. Not pictured, however, is their amazing BBQ. Pulled pork was delicious, wings were great and brisket was tender! They don't serve burnt end, which is strange. The sides were good but nothing to brag about. Still a full 5 stars for the total experience!

Not much to say but absolutely delicious. The flavor was outstanding. The brisket was tender as well as the ribs. The bacon was banging!! Side were great! Service was excellent!! Great selection of beers.

Going to give a Homer Simpson review. Beer good meat so so. Hard to mess up
Bbq but brisket was dry and tasteless. Beans were okay, liked the pickles and
Potato salad was meh. Service was below average as food came out quickly but never got to go container as finally went to bar and got it. Only had one beer which was good. Liked big screen projection of sports game

The most fun I've had on a Thursday night in a while. Came for trivia and was excited to find out about their smokehouse, so I also tried some of the food. The food came out within minutes of ordering as if they had it already made, but sadly it was cold. I got the thick cut bacon, which was tender and very flavorful. I also tried the mac and cheese and a side of cornbread. Everything tasted great, just wish it came out hot or at least warm.

The bartender was super nice and patient with me. I explained it was my first time there - so he asked me a few questions about what I like and let me sample a few sips of some brews they had on tap before making a suggestion. Even though he had other customers waiting to be served, he took the time to help me and I really appreciated that. I was also really happy with the choice he helped me make.

The space is pretty big, with two large rooms of seating. It gets pretty crowded on Thursday nights for trivia. I love that they also have a huge selection of board games laid out if you wish to play. It's a really great spot for trivia or to come with friends and family. Such a fun time!

Went on a weekend afternoon and the place was completely empty. Like eerily empty. The was parking in the lot out front and the bar tender was friendly. Beer was fine would like to try some more on anther visit and hopefully there's more people there!

We have been coming to Defiant for years. We decided to elope to Scotland but throw a party for our friends and family when we got home and chose Defiant as the venue for doing so - it was more perfect than I could have imagined. Erin and her team achieved the most perfect low key fun party night we had dreamed of. The space is beautiful and large enough for big parties. The food was plentiful and delicious. Days later, we are still getting texts and calls from our guests raving about how much fun they had at the "best wedding ever" with the "most amazing food [they've] ever had at a wedding." If you want to let loose and have fun with your guests, do not hesitate and book Defiant immediately. And even if you're not going there for a large party, absolutely stop in and try the beer and food! It's hands down my favorite craft beer and bbq in the area
