Honestly, Dario's is the only pizza place one should ever go to in the area. Elmer's pizza is absolutely delicious! Growing up on Long Island, I was spoiled with eating perfect pizza. Dario's has a thin crust with fresh ingredients. Now that there is a wine list, we love it even more.
The homemade pasta is also delicious. My husband and I enjoy the mussels (fra diabolo sauce), but our son likes the smaller mussels. The rustic bread served on all tables is great for dunking into the sauce.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Heidi L.Boston, MA2277141Jul 15, 2021
Our server was very kind and helpful. She recommended the piccata and parm for us, rigatoni w meatballs for our little one.
The salad was fresh and tasty w perfect amount of olive oil and balsamic.
The margarita had perfect ratios and was not overly sweet.
The warm bread tasted homemade but cant be sure. Olive oil with sprinkles of cracked pepper, red pepper, parm cheese.. must be careful to not fill up.
childrens dish had generous portions. Rigatoni w homemade meatballs. what kid doesnt love that?
My chicken piccata was abundant portion size as well. I almost finished it despite how much food there was. Chicken - perfectly tender. Sauce - bread dip worthy. Not overly salty (dont you hate it when a smoke chef over salts your dish) with perfect amount of capers. Risotto was the perfect match for this dish/much preferred to pasta.
my husbands chicken parm - also quite tender. well breaded/properly fried. Love the overdo of the fresh quality shredded parm. pasta a bit over al dente but not noticeably so.
Hole in the walls like this deserve our support.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Sandy D.Barnstable Town, MA72931838May 20, 2021
We are on a quest to try new restaurants and saw Darios on Yelp and decided we would try it out.
It is a very, very small place with maybe 7 or 8 tables and some seating at the bar. We had a very short wait but it was later on a Saturday evening. We were sat at a table for 6 people so we had plenty of room.
The waitress took our drink order. I ordered an Apple Martini. It was in one of the larger martini glasses and very tasty.
The waitress didn't ask us if we wanted bread nor did she bring any, so I assume they do not serve bread. We didn't care as we ordered the Bruschetta as an appetizer. The Bruschetta came and was completely different that what I expected. It was described as garlic bread topped with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and fresh basil. It came out as sliced not so ripe tomatoes on French bread with the melted cheese on top of the tomato. It was put in the broiler so the cheese was melted. The entire appetizer tasted like nothing. No flavor. No garlic taste.
I ordered the Chicken Picatta and hubby Veal Parmesan. He said his veal was OK but the sauce was more cooked than he likes it. My Picatta was another story. There was a very small amount of strips of chicken mixed with penne and a super overly lemony sauce. Now if you know me you would never think I would say something is too lemony. But this was. Very nauseating I hate to say.
All in all $70.00 without the tip for 2 people was way too much for this experience in my opinion.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robin G.Lunenburg, MA55236175Feb 18, 2020
The food was pretty good but not amazing. The mussels were good but not exactly my style, would have preferred more of a tomato/garlic flavor but my husband loved it. My husband loved the tortellini he got, my fettuccine Alfredo (which I had to request since it wasn't on the menu) was pretty good but a little over cooked and mushy for my taste.
The most frustrating part was that we were seated by the door and every time it opened I was shivering cold to the point I had to put on my scarf. I did ask them to turn up the heat, which they did but they really need a heater or something by the door to help with that.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eric-John D.Bernards, NJ47Oct 5, 2019
Thought we would try something new. It's small but quaint. The food was average and slightly overpriced.
Pasta was undercooked more than expected and the chicken for both our dishes was dry.
Would not go back but the pizza looked tasty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie W.San Diego, CA02434Jun 30, 2018
My husband and I picked up some food on our anniversary. It was ready in the time the woman who took our order said it would be, but it was kind of expensive and the food was just ok. We got an order of garlic knots, bruschetta, veal di campo, and cheese ravioli to go. Everything was hot and cooked, but it was all quite oily and the taste was just ok. We ended up paying about $56 for those four items. I can't say that we won't come back, but we'll definitely keep looking for our new favorite Italian place.

Best Italian food I've had in the Fitchburg area. It's a small place, but the quality of the food is amazing. You can't go wrong with any of their pizza choices, but my absolute favorite is their linguine with meatballs I also got their soup special last time I went and it was great. Along with freaking delicious food, the service has always been good & there's a couple TVs up on the walls. Definitely give it a try!

My bf and I tried this little hole in the wall over the weekend. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waitresses looked sad and never smiled. We will be back for sure, however, we might just get take out.

First, tonight is the first time trying out this restaurant...
I call and order 2 pizzas for take-out... They say 20 minutes, I show up in 30 to be safe.
I get there, they gave one of my pizzas to another customer... At this time they put in my second pizza, I wait PATIENTLY another 20 minutes.
No offer of compensation or anything other than an apology... OK... They're sorry.
(My fiancée comes from a family restaurant business and has worked and managed one since she was a child, this is NOT how you handle mistakes... You offer something off the bill, you appease the customer... SIMPLE.)
So, now I have one hot, one cold pizza and I'm a 1/2 hour behind schedule.
So...
NOW...
I get home an hour and 15 minutes AFTER I call the order in, we open the boxes and we eat, one cold, one hot... Pizza.
Part way through, I take a piece of my BBQ chicken pizza out of the box... What's there you ask????
One HUGE dead fly... Was it dead in the box? Was it dead in the pizza? Was it alive a half hour earlier????
Who knows... All I know is that I am now throwing out almost all of the pizza that we waited over an hour to get home and we feel like we're gonna puke because of the filthy fly in our food.
So, if you don't mind flies in your food, incompetent help, try them out...
If you want clean and safe food, go elsewhere.
If Yelp had negative stars, Dario's pizza and beer would get a NEGATIVE 10 from me!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Deb M.Lunenburg, MA152May 13, 2019
First time there. The bartender had no personality and kept trying to rush us. The garlic knots were great but the rest of food was just ok. I think it was over priced. Order an appetizer, a sandwich, salad and had a few beers and the bill was over 60.00. Plus the entire staff was just standing around talking in Spanish. Will not be going back.
