Danny's Mini Donuts

Donuts were made fresh & so tasty! Only one worker though so be patient :) 10/10 recommend for mini donut lovers!

We came here after visiting the train museum. My nephew and his family really enjoy the treats at this place and make a point of coming here whenever they are in town. The most popular draw here, is their fresh mini donuts. They ordered a combination of half chocolate and vanilla icing with sprinkles. I tried one of each and found them hot and fresh, but somewhat greasy. It seems eating them almost straight out of the oil vat may not be suitable for those with sensitive stomachs. I admit they were tasty, but my stomach, (which isn't THAT sensitive) didn't feel too agreeable a little later.

It looks like I'm late writing at what I thought might be a helpful review, but now I have noticed that this place has closed. While we were there, they had a sign posted that this business was up for sale. Maybe a transition is currently happening or something new will take it's place.

I want to mention that donuts are my weakness, but greasy ones are not!

My friend Danny was in town, so we HAD to come here! We got an order of 16 donuts and got all 4 flavors (chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon sugar, and powdered). They were all delicious, but I loved the chocolate one the best! I liked that they were mini donuts so you could try a lot.

The service was great! The person who helped us was really nice and the donuts came out very quickly.

Danny's Mini Donuts is also located in Old Sacramento which is surrounded by many shops and other food spots, so it's a great area to explore.

Walking around in Old Sacramento when I see a pink sign about fresh donuts !! There was a big window where u can see the donuts being made and an other window where you can place your order . The menu is on the walls next to where you order .

When I got my cinnamon donuts, I got them in a little white bag ! They were so hot I love it !!! Nothing like some fresh donuts! The cinnamon flavor was delicious. They are small mini fluffy donuts with a lot of flavor. The staff was friendly helped me when I had questions . If you are walking around Old Sacramento you have to try these mini made to order donuts!!

I feel like I'm the last person living in the Sac area to try this place lol. I finally got around to it!

Pretty alright mini donuts if you want small sweet treats while exploring Old Town Sac. They remind me of Hostess Donettes (y'know, the ones that come in the pre-packaged white paper bags at grocery stores) but much more light and delicate. A little pricy for what they are though.

Cinnamon sugar ones are great. Hard pass on the powdered sugar ones (powdered sugar is very dense like biting through slightly sweetened cornstarch).

I have a bad bad sweet tooth so I keep looking for desserts places and that's how I came across Danny's Mini Donuts. It's located in Old Sacramento and is literally a hole in the wall. We ordered 16 mini donuts with 4 of each kind and they were gone in no time, so we decided to order 24 with 6 of each but the lady at the counter said she can only do three varieties, which was bit surprising. Definitely worth a try if you are nuts about donuts.

We came right after the train museum. They were perfect. My only wish is that they also served hot chocolate. Otherwise it was perfect.

Pretty awesome little donut shop right outside of the super awesome railroad museum. The donuts are all freshly made to order. You have your various selections of what toppings, or no toppings, to add and voila! Your mini donuts come out hot and ready to eat. Yum.

Danny was manning the station and making our donuts when we visited. A man with little words when we were there, but was pleasant and efficient with making our donuts-respect.

There are some other options on the menu, too. I saw funnel cake, sweet treats, and other friend goodies. But we came here just for the donuts and after our museum trip and we were quite satisfied. Would definitely visit again if we were back in town.

This is a quick stop with street parking and outdoor seating. The donuts are made fresh to order. I am always a fan of freshly baked goods, so though this was our first time here, it definitely won't be our last.

Ordered 8 mini donuts for $5, 4 cinnamon sugar and 4 powdered. Very no frills donut stand - fresh donuts placed in a bag and shaken up. The cinnamon sugar donuts were great (there was even an extra one in the bag!) but the powdered sugar was not good. There was way too much powdered sugar and it just tasted thick and artificial.
