I ate here on Sunday between 1130 and noon. There was a line but it wasn't too long in the Services quick and efficient. I selected off the Sunday menu. I had the Cajun brisket which comes with rice as side of barbecue sauce and you pick your two sides I picked Candy yams and mac & cheese for my bread. I selected cornbread and then I washed it down with a Dr Pepper. My total meal was around $18. I tipped two dollars for the excellent service. The brisket was tender and juicy and had that smoky flavor with a Cajun kick to it, the barbecue sauce was sweet the rice was fluffy and drenched in the juice from the brisket, mac & cheese was excellent cheesy and the candy yams was like eating dessert, sweet and tasty. You can get it to go or dine there. I recommend it! I used to go to the location on Abram and this is the first time at this location on Greenoaks and New York in Southeast Arlington. They had Pandora music playing and had some old-school R&B and even had some Stevie Nicks blended in.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Damian's Cajun Soul Cafe in Arlington Texas, a couple months ago and let me just say, it was an experience beyond compare.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt at home. And let's talk about the food. Oh, my goodness! Where do I begin?

Chef Damian, the mastermind behind this culinary gem, deserves all the praise. As the solo Chef, he really works magic in the kitchen, and it truly showed in every dish. The flavors were nothing short of extraordinary. I could taste the authenticity and soul in every bite.

The Cajun seasoning was perfection itself. My family and I had a variety of dishes and there were NO shortcomings.

This place is totally rich. If you are in Arlington, Texas, and craving a taste of true Cajun soul food that feels like a warm embrace, do yourself a favor and pay a visit Damian's Cajun Soul Cafe. You won't be disappointed!

Shoutout to Chef Damian for creating the culinary space that feels like home. Your passion for food and commitment to excellence are unforgettable. Thank you.

We decided to grab some lunch before heading home after a Cowboys game, and we settled on Damian's.

I wanted the smothered oxtails, but decided on fried ribs once I got to the serving area. They were AMAZING, and they gave us so much food.

My husband got Salisbury steak, which wasn't his fave...but he really enjoyed the red beans and rice and mac and cheese. I got the ribs which were everyone's fave. They came with rice and brown gravy, and two side. The brown gravy tasted like the powdered mix to me, but you better believe I ate it...I didn't love the cabbage, it was a little bland, BUT, the collard greens were bomb!

My pals got catfish and seemed to enjoy that as well, it was fresh and cooked to order. They also really loved the vanilla pound cake.

Damian was up front with the crew serving, and by the patrons, it looks like it's a local fave. Was also really impressed with the lady at the register. She was helpful and service was top notch!

I've had this restaurant bookmarked for a lil while and was hungry one day so I figured why not try Damian's.

Damian's get a good hard 3 stars. The service was speedy just like I like it.

Food here is good. The fish here has some sort of specialty seasoning on it which is tasty and is a decent size. After awhile the seasoning became a little overwhelming, but overall it was good. The fries were basic with the same type of seasoning on it as the fish. The fries didn't taste like they were freshly cut, but still good. The greens had a delicious flavor to them. However, they were overcooked.

Overall, I'd actually visit Damian's again for the fast service and fish that was hot, freshly fried, and was decently priced.

So sad to say I don't have pics I dug right into the meal so my fault for that. This is a customer service based review because the customer service was amazing. I felt like I was at a friends house chilling. The man Damian himself was there and the guy is as cool as you can be on a Sunday. What a great vibe the place had. I got the rib plate with red beans and rice and yams. So now on to the food.

I enjoyed the fried ribs they were big juicy tender and seasoned well. They were the star of the meal. The red beans and rice was a no for me it tasted like a Zatarans powder mix or something it was mostly brown gravy no beans no sausage no seasonings. The yams were not for me as well very watery thin consistency not like I like my yams and the Mac and cheese was decent. I like the seasoning mixed into the Mac and cheese although a bit overpowering it was still good. The cake I got at the register was good it was a pound cake with a caramel glaze very delicious.

Overall Damian's is a decent place for some good food. Is it the best? Naw. Is it the worst? Not by a long shot. I would actually visit again but I would just get an entree.

Now I know the pandemic had a choke hold on a lot of businesses and some had to take the "L" and close. I'm not sure when Damian's moved, but I'm here to say....they should have stayed there off 360 because the quality of the food has definitely changed. I hadn't been here in years & now I see why. We arrived around 4pm on Sunday. My 1st clue to not eat here should have been when I saw them scooping the rice out of a gallon sized ziploc bag....whhhhhhyyyyy?!?!? My lady ordered the fried chicken wings, red beans & rice & cabbage...I ordered the fried ribs, mac n cheese & yams. We waited for the wings to get cooked....grabbed our food & headed home....got situated....said our blessing & dug in. I don't know who was cooking but they dayum sholl didn't pick up not 1 seasoning to use in that food. The mac n cheese was very basic & tasted like it was from the box, the yams were decent...nothing to brag about.....I can get more meat from a crawfish than what was on them dayum ribs....that shyt was ALL unseasoned floured batter.....smh....the cabbage had a funny taste & just blah....the chicken wings were just cooked....not seasoned at all.....I know it wasn't nobody's big arm auntie or granny in that kitchen cooking smh....now I see why I wasn't in a rush to get out there to try em again....I'm good on this soul food spot...I'll go stick to Dallas soul food spots!!!

Best food in Arlington, hands down!! If you are seeking out Southern Soulfood or Cajun flavors, look no further!! Damians never disappoints. 2 of the Sundays specials for 12/3/23 are their Slow Smoked Ribeyes and brisket. I choose the must-have sides, the cabbage, and the mac n cheese. Large portions and both come with 2 sides along with complimentary rice n gravy. They also have the best Peach Cobbler, topped with candied pecans. I highly recommend Thursdays Rib plate and Meatloaf. You can purchase separately or as a combo and/or Sundays specials, which normally include but are not limited to Smoked or smothered Oxtails, ribs, Ribeyes and Brisket.

Left: Slow Smoked Ribeye topped with onions. Right: Brisket, both with the Mac n cheese and cabbage as sides.

Good food! Everything was good and flavorful(except the cabbage) but the best thing that we had was the oxtails even though I neglected to get a picture of it. The young lady that was working behind the counter could use some customer service tips but Mr. Damian himself was nothing shy of amazing! He came out and greeted us, made sure that we liked our food, and even took a picture with us, as we were out of state visitors.

We found this hidden gem one day after leaving church. They have Great Cajun and soul food. Some of the items on the menu are cooked to order. The staff provides exceptional customer service especially Mrs. Carla. There was a dj playing old school hits. You won't be disappointed
