Pros: The area is safe and quiet with lovely tress and animals.
Cons: If you're not in an updated unit, like mine the unit is very old. I had leaks in the ceiling for the 1st 4 months I was there that was finally patched. The bathtub was never replaced like promised. The pool (the 3 summers I have been there) has barely been open. In fact, its July 17th and it still hasn't opened. Sucks! The rent is way to high I'm paying.month to month right in hopes to find a house agian to buy. I'm paying $1230 a month. Crazy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Dear Linnea,
Thank you for your review, we value your opinion. We apologize for delay in the maintenance repairs, as we strive to provide 100% satisfaction to our residents every day. If you have any further maintenance issues please do not hesitate to put a work ticket in online or come in to the office to meet with one of our staff. For after hours emergency work orders, please feel free to call the emergency line. We understand your frustration with the delay of the pool openings, as we ourselves realized that more repairs needed to be done than originally planned. We are happy to announce that the pool has been completely redone! We hope you were able to make it to the pool party as well. We also plan to keep the pool open for as long as weather permits so that our valued residents can enjoy it! We greatly appreciate your patience as we have been working to make our community one of the best in Livonia. - Mark M.Highland, MI8652766Apr 18, 2018
Look for apartment for family member. The staff is very accommodating, social, and went out of their way with helping my cousin with his special needs. I like apartment and most of all like how we were treated by the office staff. Two thumbs up!

Hi Mark,
SG Apple Ridge thanks you for taking the time to submit such a kind review. - Rosie H.Northville, MI051Mar 14, 2020
CONS: So there is a swastika on the back of the dumpster that has been there for god knows how long, and it's been over a month at this point after being brought to their attention, and we have reminded multiple parts of the team about it and nothing has been done. People have gotten their tires taken off of their cars at night here. The security gate has not been fixed. Approached by strangers at night. Do not feel safe walking my dog at night. The office says it always open but the door will be locked with nobody inside. They told us they cleaned for the corona virus and the workout room was dusty and has probably not been swept in months. $4 for a load of laundry. Every spring they send a letter out saying that they will fine you if you have flower pots or children's toys on the balcony. Maintenance takes forever for anything difficult.
PRO: screwed over my lease so I get to leave in JulyHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ema S.Central City, Phoenix, AZ0244Jun 5, 2019
Awesome staff and managers. I needed to move quickly and they did everything in there power to help me out. Denmond the regional manager was on top of all phone calls and communication for everything I needed. I would recommend this apartment!

Winter season has been a big problem. There has been no heat with freezing temps. Tenants werent given a new maintenance number to report that. Also, you cant control when the heat is turned on, the management does. Their snow removal co. also was not removing the snow and ice from walkways.

Hello K.C.,
We appreciate your review and feedback. We would love the opportunity to speak to you regarding the contact information you have for our emergency maintenance/ on-call number, as the maintenance emergency phone number has not changed since we have been under new management and ownership. We are very sorry to hear about your heating problems, and ask that you submit a maintenance request so that we can come and fix any issues you may have. We can assure you that management has no control over your heat, and all of our units are individually controlled by the thermostat inside of the apartment home. We take pride in ensuring the safety of our residents, and as such we make sure our snow removal contractor comes out and plows and salts during snow and cold weather, we have received many thank you cards and even baked good from other residents who were very appreciative of our efforts during the brutal winter we just had. We would love the opportunity to speak with you further about your concerns in person, and welcome you to contact us at (248) 471-0001. - Lindsey M.Farmington Hills, MI852Aug 16, 2017
I lived here from March 2016 to July 2017. In May, 2017 the ownership changed. The pair of old brothers who owned the property before and had a hard time keeping maintenance men no longer own the complex. The new management is currently undertaking a tremendous effort to renovate the complex, inside and out, and actually trying to offer the amenities that were offered to me on the original website when I moved in, some amenities were still not yet in place when i moved out. I am no longer renting, but if I were still in apartment living, I would have continued to have lived here.
Side note: They were timely and informative with returning my security deposit as well. I received written notice once the exit inspection was complete and they would have itemized any deductions from my deposit. Luckily their was none, 1 week later there was my check.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ray S.Farmington, MI02Nov 23, 2016
Worst experience ever. They will charge you every little thing when you move out. Really bad management, slow response to everything, no snow plow in winter so good luck getting your car out of the parking lot. With all this, the rent is 15% higher than average. Definitely not recommend to anybody.

Don't deserve a one star rating. Maintenance is poor. The leasing office staff are very rude. Don't fall to promises made by the management of Apple Ridge apartment before you move in. They appeared to be kind until you sign your lease. My experience of staying at Apple Ridge was awful.

Of all the apartments I have lived at, this one is my favorite. The office actually pays attention to residents. The management is really renovating the place. It's a huge improvement from before. The management is being kept up well

Beware, dog poop, rotted trees, abandoned cars, open barbecue fires on balconies, high percentage of foreigners. The facilities are very aged and tired. There is a limit to how often things can be fixed. High staff turnover, and while there they complain alot about the owners, even the mailcarrier does.
