The food was horrible. First time eating here and I was very disappointed. Too spicy and no special flavor. I've had much better Indian food. And the food was also too spicy. They also don't sell raita, which would happen with spicy food.

The aromas coming from this restaurant fill the air outside its doors so much, I couldn't help but go see if they had one of my favorite dishes. They did!
Ordered the Tikka chicken with Biryani Rice and a Vegetable Samosa. The tikka chicken was flavorful with a little bit of a kick to it. The chicken was nice and tender.
The Biryani Rice paired perfectly with the tikka chicken. It had many of the familiar tasteful spices in it.
The samosa shell and the vegetables were tender, flavorful, and cook to perfection.
The price for everything was about $16 with a soda. Not bad. Customer service was spot on and attentive to what I was asking for. I would definitely give them another visit and reccomend people to try.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jul 20, 2019
The smell from the Crowne Center food court was enticing to say the least! And the flavor didn't disappoint. You pick a rice, a side and a non-veggie entree. I tried:
1. chicken tikka masala - very flavorful
2. a samosa - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, good flavor
3. The seasoned orange rice - my 7-year-old even liked this one! Not too spicy!
4. a mint dipping sauce - medium spice level
5. a mango jelly topping - totally tasted more like apple cider vinegar than mango!
Not the freshest Indian food I've had, but it was so refreshing compared with the usual low-quality food one can often find in a food court.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 23, 2019
They aren't closed.
And the menu is pretty simple.
Mushroom curry, veggie palak, samosas, veggie Masala, chicken tikka masala, chicken 65, chicken curry and goat curry.
For $10 I got a huge container of rice, chicken curry and vegetarian palak. The Palak was a lovely amount of spice.
The naans were a little soft but were nice to have.
Don't trek cross town to come here but if you are in the area - like me, staying at the Westin, it was super convenientHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - John D.Kansas City, MO1210232Apr 5, 2019
Crap. Expensive crap. Dry too much rice, hardly any curry and soggy naan. What a disappointment! Now to be honest I did have my expectations set higher than a mall food court curry as the name is well respected in other cities I've been in.
Update, the meat was back meat and full of small bones. Threw it away. Horrible place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shannon G.Monument, CO243Oct 15, 2022
Good Tiki Masala, wish all locations were open on weekends. Worth a try!!! The naan could use some garlic but good

Don't let the simple exterior fool you. This little tucked away place is a mall food court gem! I walked by twice myself and glad I stopped in. Nan was freshly made. I enjoyed the tikka Masala with all white meat. The palak paneer had a nice base. The paneer itself wasn't anything to brag about. Definitely worth a check in.

This is a walk up in a shopping center with seating in a common area nearby, so if you are looking for ambiance or table service, keep on walking. On the other hand if you are into generous offerings of well prepared flavor packed Indian dishes with a biting spice level served in take out containers, then you have found your spot!
Not sure I can recommend the hassle of making this a destination spot, but if you are nearby in the shopping center, at the theater, that card company or the train station, then you should have this on your short list.
The space is small and for service only. They display their offerings in a cafeteria style and you can see the prepared food and what you are picking before making a choice. You get four choices to make it easy, like "veg" and "non-veg".
The meal came with two choices and a typical basmati rice pilaf with two quarters of nicely charred naan. The naan was reheated.
I had the richly colored goat curry. Served with cut up pieces of lamb still on the bone to add an even deeper flavor. Bone in style is not for everyone, but the visceral experience of sucking the bone to take in the flavors of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and garlic of a treat.
The other choice was "Chicken 65". Not familiar with the intended flavor profile of this dish, but this day it included chunks of breaded chicken in a light curry sauce that resembled butter chicken with tomatoes - almost a ticka masala vibe. In any case, it was excellent flavor with rich creamy dairy along with a nice spice level.
You should try this place!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nic S.Bonner Springs, KS564223May 4, 2019
It wasn't the name that made me want to eat here it was the smell I picked up from the other side of crown plaza that got my attention and let me tell it it smelled delicious. I have to give a little back story before I go one when I was a skid I lived in Okinawa japan and as a family we would routinely visit a a local restaurant I believe it was called "The Royal" and the curry was AMAZING so when I mentioned the smell it took me back to my youth and so I expected greatness. But after reading the sign I should have know that Curry in a Hurry was not going to compare to The Royal but I went for it anyway.
You have about 6 different options of curry to pick from and the guy serving you doesn't really help you out he says they are all great and he has no favorites. His recommendation was that I picked two curries and mixed them together so I went for it. They have no table or chairs in the booth space they occupy so I ate in the corridor at a group of tables. The curry lacked spice and flavor and the rice was somewhat dry. Now I will tell you it was closing in ten minutes so I'm guessing the food had been sitting for a while but never the less I was not impressed. I won't be revisiting them anytime soon.
Still on the lookout for that childhood curry fix anyone have recommendations I'm all in to try thanks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Holly E.Milwaukee, WI8823334Feb 1, 2019
I wish there was a Curry in a Hurry in my neighborhood! Just as it sounds ... most flavorful "fast food"! Choose 'Veg' plate or 'Non Veg' plate... They don't dumb down for spice and the portions are HUGE! Love it (open one in Gladstone area please!)
