About the Business
Established in 2008. It all started when Lisa & Brad were attending the CIA in Hyde Park and worked for a Caterer who played Cupid. Soon after their Wedding, they started Renner's Creative Celebrations... a full service off-premise catering service in 1985.Twenty two years later, with much thought, they opened 'Cue2Go Take out BBQ at Lisa's childhood home. A lot of experimentation with smoking meats and developing rubs, sauces & sides, resulted in a balanced and varied Lunch and Dinner menu. As always, everything is made on site.

Our second time stopping by this month! It's a cute little bbq shack and they sell antiques in there too. Last time my husband got the pulled pork sandwiches and baked beans and Mac and cheese. This time he got the pulled pork sandwiches, and I got the jerk turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and baked beans. With sodas it all cost around $30. Not bad for such delicious food! Everything was so good! That jerk turkey is the bomb.

This place is amazing. There's so few places with good food around here that's not overpriced or takes forever to get. This place is relatively quick and also delicious. They have a great lunch deal.

What a hidden gem in Germantown, NY. Best BBQ I have had in a while. We had the pulled pork sandwich and bbq chicken sandwich. Both cooked to perfection and such flavor. We will be back !!

This spot was perfect. Parked out back to place an order "2 Go" to have at the vineyard right across the street. The woman was so friendly and told us we were welcome to leave our vehicle out back as we visited the vineyard. Service was great, placed an order of 4 meals and was ready in 20 minutes. Had the bbq chicken sandwich, potato salad and fruit salad all of which I was pleased with. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting the area. Also - took a shot on the pineapple orange cookies they had in a basket out front - no regrets here!

As a purveyor of all things barbecue, I had to go. Have to check it out when a BBQ joint gets high marks.
Hate the location, but love the food. I drove all the way from Troy to check this out, and I was not disappointed. It is authentic slow smoked barbecue. Bought a boatload of food and used it for lunches over the course of a week.
I never go to a barbecue joint for the sides. They are what they are: SIDES. I never take off points for sides unless they shove them in my gas tank. These sides were very nice though. I had the usual array of compliments with one that stood out. It was a tortolloni salad that was so good, I almost drove back down later in the day. Not on the menu proper, so it was a daily. If you put this on the menu, I'm coming back just for it. Cole slaw was standard. Mac and potato was not anything spectacular. It was what it was.
Anyway, I must review the meats. I have to say, it was all cooked properly. I grabbed chicken, ribs and the beef. The beef was a bit weird in that it was not a classic brisket. It was a round that was slow cooked and sauced. Almost a paste with the sauce thrown in. I was skeptical at first, but it worked. I ate it all on the first sitting. Everything else was cooked perfectly. The ribs, the chicken, the beef. I do, however, have to hit you for one thing that has been previously mentioned in reviews. The smoke you apply is just too much. I like a good smoke ring, but this was just overpowering. Anything that was exposed to the smoke was just overpoweringly bitter. I learned after trying them to eat the meats that were not exposed to the smoke. And that was spectacular. The skin and exposed parts were just oversmoked to the point they were tough to eat.
I'm still giving you 4 stars because the meal as a whole was very very good. Just let the smoke die a bit before you put the meats on. It will ease up on the bitter.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Abigail R.Annandale-on-Hudson, NY03517May 22, 2021
Friendly staff but stick to meats. Corn is not good. Neither is the cornbread. Cornbread was crumbling needs flavor. Like honey or cinnamon. Just a little something. The containers are also really terrible. My food was leaking everywhere. Also ice tea is 1/5. Grab a water or soda instead greens have a strong vinegar taste .

Delicious beef. Mashed potatoes were good, but I didn't care for the corn or the corn bread. Sweet people. Glad I found this place.

I'm ashamed to say this restaurant is directly behind my house and I've never been there until yesterday. I don't think I met the owners because the woman at the counter wasn't very friendly, but I definitely recommend the place.
There is only outside seating, but this is mainly a take away spot, yet it is extremely peaceful and quiet under the trees.
The mac and cheese was pretty good. Not as good as the Matchbox Cafe. The O'Brien potatoes were also nice. My husband loved his tuna on a hard roll because the roll was amazing and soft per him.
The only thing I didn't love was the barbecue chicken because although it was smoked, which gave it a Great Taste throughout the meat, it wasn't charred at all. The skin was rubbery. That's the best part of barbecue for me, but I just picked it off and tried to not think about my deceased Grandma's arm flaps.
Still, we're going to be frequent customers from now on and the prices were good as well.
Definitely a great take out joint for the people in this area who want meat (so earthy crunchy here in this area) and barbecue or just really good side dishes.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Tanner L.Seattle, WA13887May 5, 2018
Great place to get a bbq sandwich and sides. The owners were really nice and walked us through the food menu and let us sample some. A very quaint shop, watched a squirrel do its thing then a cat came to say hi. This place is right across a winery so very pretty surroundings.

Our first trip to Cue2Go was entirely by accident. We were at the winery across the street and they recommended the restaurant. Everything we had, rib, chicken, beef, turkey, and all the sides were excellent.
Now the restaurant is our prime destination. The owners are helpful and friendly, the food is still some of the best barbecue we have had, and certainly the best in the area. Portions are sizable and very reasonable priced.
We can't wait to return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
