Affordable diner with vegetarian options! Great service and the portions are huge. Cute little diner ambiance, would 100% come back.

For us this is definitely a fried food joint that also has burgers. The burgers are juicy and decent portion, but lacked in toppings. It's hard to mess up fried foods much. The chicken tenders are thin and crispy and the cheese bites nice and melty. Poppers, mushrooms, fish - it's all fried decently. The biggest appeal is that it's decent food and you get what you expect, but the prices are way better than most places. It's not that their sizes are smaller either, just better prices. So if you're looking for some reasonably priced greasy food you should consider this place.

So far the best burgers for the money on the east side of Portland. $17.50 for two burgers with bacon, cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce, and a good sized piece of meat! Left this space for no apparent reason. ...............................................!
With the burger you got fries and a coke. Service was fast considering every this is cooked fresh. Everything appeared to be clean including the floor, mmmmnot sticky as it is in most burger joints. The city has seen fit to take all the on street parking for bike lanes, so you park at your own peril in their lot. By the way I never saw a bike on Division or the side street. No wonder small businesses are closing all over Portland.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 27, 2022
I'm honestly surprised I haven't tried this place sooner! We were pleasantly surprised when drove by and it was mostly empty. So we figured today was the day to go sit and try it. By burger was excellent. I had the jalapeno bacon burger. The bacon wasn't well done but I just pulled it off. No biggie. The burger was well done and the tots too. Just like I like em. My husband said his mushroom burger was also very tasty. We didn't have dessert because we were stuffed but the kid next to us had a banana split and oh my goodness it looked heavenly. Next time!!

While in Portland, I wanted to find a hamburger joint that would satisfy my hamburger craving. Many of the hamburger places I encountered were vey hipster, expensive and not very appetizing. CRUISER WAS NOT LIKE THAT, the staff was very friendly, the food was delicious and the price was very affordable.
Being from Los Angeles, I am very spoiled when it comes to hamburger and this place ranks right up there with the "great places" to get a cheeseburger and fires. I liked their options for french fries (regular, curly fries or tator tots). They also offer a variety of milkshakes and ice cream. Over all, this place was great and I would definitely recommend it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Clyde J.Portland, OR030Aug 21, 2023Updated review
We have been customers to Cruisers for years. I love their burgers and onion rings are good. However today we ordered their fish and chips with fried mushrooms on the side.
I must say it is the first time I have been very disappointed with them. The fish part of the order was 3 strips and were average at best in flavor, the fries, or chips were cold soggy and poor tasting. Even the fried mushrooms were over cooked and falling apart and tasted burnt, not good at all.
Now these don't address the main problem, the order was small, I know things are getting cut back due to high costs, but I order a meal to be filled not insulted. They need to charge more and make a meal.
In summary, too small, too cooked, and not good. With Cruisers it is obvious they can only do burgers, sadHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 13, 2023Previous reviewI have been eating at and ordering from Cruisers for years. Always a good burger and fries, but today they were better than ever, a great burger and fries.

Posted hours online state open until 11pm. @10:14, closed signs are up. I'm curious if this is the MO of the owner, or if the employees make up their own rules.
