Tuesday business lunch .meeting at Crudo in Frisco. The restaurant has an inviting dining area and a swanky fun bar area. Off to the kitchen area you get a view of their pizza oven and their lunch menu reminds you that pizza is one of their specialities
For appetizer I enjoyed their creamy tomato basil soup which was one of the better renditions I can remember. For entree I had the parmesan crusted chicken. Presentation was excellent with a perfect crispy texture, only criticism was it lacked salt .
Quick mention the restaurant was very accommodating allowing my guest to order their own version of pasta pescatore ( seafood and pasta ). Typically they do a pink cream sauce but my guest can't eat dairy and the restaurant was kind to make a custom version without hesitation
I will definitely visit again as their happy hour specials and great environment make Crudo a definite destination to dineHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jeffrey S.Plano, TX717653Feb 4, 2024Updated review
If you're going to keep my party waiting for 30 minutes when I have a reservation, at least acknowledge me. This wasn't the case when we arrived on time for a 730 reservation and were shuffled into the bar to be eventually seated at 8 o'clock even then we waited another 30 minutes to be served.
The food is uninteresting at best. Let me start with the Greek salad. Anyone who's had an authentic Greek salad no, there is no lettuce in a Greek salad. It should be made of ripe tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese, Kalamata, olives.
We ordered muscles without the chorizo, only to be served muscles with chorizo so they had to go back.
There's a beautiful pizza oven in the back of the restaurant. Unfortunately, our pizza came out slightly raw. We also ordered a flatbread with vegetables. It literally came with raw, red and yellow peppers on top.
I think you get my message here that the service was in attentive and somewhat dismissive. There are too many restaurants in the Dallas Plano Frisco area to have to put up with this type of service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 14, 2022Previous reviewWhat is the point of going to a "nice" restaurant on a Saturday evening that is out of food items? This was the case last night.
Most establishments are eager to please patrons these days, not so much here. It seemed like such a chore to make simple changes to a salad to leave off cheese. Again this is a training issue.
Water glasses remained unfilled a couple of times.
The waiter extolled the virtues of the wonderful lamb chops. When we were ready to order we were told they were out. WTF. We settled on the cedar plank salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My friend wanted to leave off the potatoes and substitute maybe some plain pasta. No can do. Really. Ok so she decides to order a kids pasta as a side. Leave off the mash.
Our order is delivered and guess what, no mashed for either of us. Why, because they were out of mashed at 830 on Saturday evening. The point is why be inflexible when you could not even deliver what was on the menu.
We expect a restaurant on Saturday evening to be up to par. The prices here are not cheap and I expected more.
At the end of the meal the waiter said dessert would be on the house. He went thru the list and one couple said one it and the other a different. Which ONE do you want. Perfect ending. - Michael R.Frisco, TX34137298Dec 21, 2023Updated review
AMAZING!!! We haven't been to Crudo in years, it was one of our family staples in the day. Went last night as a family... learned of a new ownership who took over this past September. Incredibly nice guy, FOOD was incredible, service impeccable, and atmosphere is so charming. The five of us loved each of our dishes, drinks, and experience so much that we are planning another visit over the holidays.
If you have never tried Crudo or it's been a minute since you have, don't hesitate.... You will LOVE it! We have been here dozens of time; even did New Years Eve dinner as a family here a couple of times. Small space but well utilized; STELLAR management and service. We have yet to have a not so great meal, everything has always been worth coming back for. Love this spot! A++++

I love the owners, chef and they make the best pizza ever. I also love their salads and great service.
All of their food is delicious for sure.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 11, 2023Previous reviewFantastic Italian Bistro with friendly owners and staff. They want to help you and I have enjoyed the wood fired pizza, pasta with shrimp, salad and the portions are huge and save room for dessert.
They also have live music I think on the weekends.
it is a festive place with a great selection of homemade pasta and the lamb chops looked amazing!!
I have been here three times and I love the people who truly care about your happiness and satisfaction.
It is not just the best pizza it is a well rounded menu,
I love Laura. - Andy V.Houston, TX164580Jan 17, 2024
Came here to celebrate a birthday, and all the food was amazing. The margherita pizza is one of the best I've had in a while. Multiple workers came to check up on our table which was great. This place is good for a family gathering or even to take someone on a date. Everything was perfect including the live music. Would recommend!

Dined in for a friend's birthday celebration on a Saturday evening. Mid-size restaurant with a nice atmosphere. May be better to dine in during Spring and Fall months, see end of review.
Our sever was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and expertly handled our group of 12. I had the Oven Roasted Cedar Plank Salmon. It was good although not especially special. The bread and olives brought out to the table was delicious and more memorable.
Three star rating is due to the restaurant being extremely warm, borderline hot. It has to do with the size, open kitchen concept, and the wood fire Ben bring used. After about an hour I was more than ready to go due to the heat. Also the seating isn't comfortable - chairs with wooden seats and metal backs are the best to sit for long.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 8571861172Nov 17, 2022
Shame that a place so cozy and great food has such lousy service.
Came in on a quiet Sat night. Table for 3.
Server didn't know how to "read the table" or take care of us.
Food very delicious! Husband and I shared a seafood pasta plate and our a friend got the same dish. Nothing complicated. Also both ordered the mixed greens salads.
The problem is our server was just checked out...no checking on us after we got our order, if we'd like anything etc., We had empty plates stacking on the small table by us and the server is hyper focused on trying to take the plate away from our friends (as he's in mid bite).
Then as our friend was finishing his drink he asked him if he wanted another one...he said yes, and then walks off and didn't bother asking us if we would like another drink too even though our wine glasses were both empty. My husband had to stop the guy before he ran off to ask him to bring us each another $15 glass.
We also asked if the our server if he wouldn't mind putting the TV on the UT/TCU game... Doesn't ask so we get up and go ask the bartender, finally turns it on with 00:45 seconds left in the game.
No biggie, at least we got refills on our drinks and as we're sitting there trying to enjoy the remainder of what's left of our evening...Here comes another server and I kid you not, squeegees the mop in the yellow bucket and begins to mop the floors literally right next to our table.
Granted it was 9:45pm closing time is near, but seriously? There were 4 other tables still sitting and a few at the bar....
So now all you can smell was bleach water as we sat there quite shocked he was actually slop mopping 2 feet from us. How's that for ambiance??
Bottomline, our server was more focused on cleaning duties and rushing us out the door before we even got there.
Sad to say we won't be coming back. With sooo many spots in this entire area...I'd rather spend our money and time in a place that actually wants to take good care of us.
$100 spent in alcohol $65 on food.Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 2 - Nov 21, 2022
Great Italian restaurant, but I recommend making a reservation in advance as the restaurant is a little small. We started off with the shaved rib crostini which I highly recommend trying. I ended up ordering the stuffed crab shrimp on top of risotto. The dish was a little bit on the small side. It probably could have eaten one more shrimp as it only came with three. The risotto was a nice touch to the meal. We split the apple pie, and that was the best part of the meal. The dessert was just enough to sample it between a few people.
I think our waiter was a little confused as she told is the special of the blackened red fish was sold out, but we heard the table next to us order it after we did. This place won't be my go to place, but I'll come back to check out other items off the menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Rebecca C.University City, Saint Louis, MO117023Jan 3, 2024

This place had great reviews and I was really excited to take my boyfriend here for date night. The restaurant is sooo cute! I love the decor and vibes. We ordered the veal meatballs and calamari to start off. The meatballs were cold. I liked the calamari, but my boyfriend wished there was more calamari and less veggies. We ordered tequila cocktails that weren't worth the price. We were about to order entrees, but decided to get the check and spend the rest of our dinner at a different place. Maybe this was a one off experience? Our waitress was very nice.
