Crown Plumbing

I noticed a wet spot on my lawn and thought it was just from all the rain we've been getting this winter. As soon as I stepped on a piece of grass in the wet spot, it had water shoot out from it. I called several plumbing companies and landed on Crowne plumbing and they knew exactly what to do.
The service was awesome and pricing was comparable if not better than the other plumbers I called. I know I've been bleeding money for the past few months, but they guided me on the right steps to obtain some sort of refund from the water utility company.

I woke up to a cold shower on a Saturday morning and by lunch I had a new water heater installed and running.

These guys were great. Our garbage disposal (installed by neighbor!) fell completely off the sink! We were stuck with no sink, and a 9 month old kid.

Called Crown plumbing the next morning. Within two hours they had it all fixed and back together and for a really reasonable price.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from Steve & Tim. I had a leak under a bathroom sink and they fixed that last week. Since it was an issue that could eventually happen in other parts of the house, so they came back today and took care of the rest of them. They were efficient, nice, and funny.

No one wants to deal with plumbing issues, but if you have to, call Crown Plumbing. Crown Plumbing was recommended to me and I would use them again.

They showed up on time and eventually fixed the leaky pipe on the second try. My issue with their service is that I feel like they rounded up the time it took to make the fix. Especially because they seem to have included the time it took to ask my about my profession and the 10 minutes they took to fill out the bill. That extra quarter hour of chatting and paperwork cost me another $40.

Next time I'll try somebody else.

After receiving quotes from multiple plumbers, I decided to go with Crown Plumbing for a shower handle and water heater replacement. From setting up the appointment until after the work was completed, I can only say wonderful things about Crown Plumbing. Honest and fair pricing, professional and friendly staff, and high quality work performed in a timely manner. What more can you ask for? Work was completed without issue, but scammy business practices where they tried to charge significantly more than the original quoted price while claiming that I was getting a "discount."

The quote was for $500, based on an estimate of a 2-hour job at $200 per hour. Work was finished in 50 minutes, at which point the plumber from Crown claimed that he was giving me a $125 discount for a total of $625. When I caught the discrepancy, he claimed the quote had been for $750. (We had budgeted a strict $600 limit for the job, so I know we would never have booked the work had the quote been for $750. Both my husband and I were present for the quote, and recall the $500 number.)

The plumber agreed to honor the $500 quote for his 50 minutes of labor, but wouldn't give us the discount, and made a big fuss over how he was supposedly losing money on materials.

We have additional projects which will require a plumber, but will be looking for an honest one instead. Crown Plumbing showed up on time and completed the work as requested, but be sure to clarify all quotes in writing before booking them, since apparently they will try to sneak in a bigger bill. Honestly, I'm extremely upset and sickened by their attempt to upcharge us when the job took less than half the expected time.

Also, the apprentice who did the work had to be coached through using a right-angle drill. Even I know how to do that.

I thought our shower was never gonna be fixed but they came out and fixed the problem quicker than I could even imagine! They were courteous, efficient and honest. We'll definitely be calling them again!

My sink recently backed up for the third time in two months, and although I was able to get it unclogged I decided it was time to have it looked at professionally to fix the problem once and for all since we have a baby due within the next few weeks.

I asked around for recommendations and had several companies recommended to me. This was on 12/30/13 so I knew the holidays would make things difficult but I was on break from work and really wanted to get it taken care of that day! Of the four places I called, Nathan was the only one to get back to me quickly. He also had availability that afternoon and was super flexible with scheduling (he suggested 1-3 but I asked if he could come between 2-4 and he agreed). He showed up right when he said he would, and both he and his assistant were very polite. I really liked that there was no call-out fee (another company called me back later that day and they charge $80 just to come look at the problem).

After listening to my description of the problem and looking at the set up underneath my sink (50's construction followed by DIY by previous owners) he provided an estimate for snaking the pipe beyond the reach of my dinky little home snake, and made a suggestion for a way to re-route the pipes under the sink to bring it up to code. He and his assistant quickly did the work, the whole time I was so grateful it wasn't me fishing around under the sink - I can fix plumbing like this but it is usually 3-4 hours and 2-3 trips to the hardware store, such a treat not to do that this time!

I was also really impressed that he even found an aerator that fit our faucet in his truck and he threw it in free! We have been in this house for just over a year now and had given up on finding an aerator that fit, I've been through countless options from the hardware store and even gone in there with thread rubbings and photographs/measurements (it's a weird sink set up and a lot of work to take the faucet apart) with no luck.

He also spent a little time talking to me about a long-term project we know will need to be done within the next couple of years and I will not hesitate to call Crown Plumbing first thing when we are ready to do that work!!

What a treat not to be fighting with the plumbing on my own like usual, and a relief to have it taken care of quickly and efficiently!
