I'm not really sure why this place has bad reviews?! This is a true gem for fried chicken lovers. When I lived in Long island this was the best fried chicken around and it was an unforgettable experience going out on Friday or Saturday nights to grab buckets of it for family game nights. Now that I have moved away from the area it's a must visit on every trip. So much so that we have to make a stop after the airport! From the moment I walk in, I am greeted with warm smiles and friendly service that truly made me feel like family. One of the standout features of this place is the owner's constant presence. It's clear that she has a deep passion for what she does and a vested interest in ensuring their customers are not just satisfied but genuinely happy. This level of dedication is something you don't often find in these types of restaurants, and it sets them apart.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the fried chicken. It is hands down the most flavorful and crispy chicken I've ever had. The blend of spices and the high quality oil made each bite a burst of deliciousness. I don't have to worry about my gall bladder issues or heart burn acting up after a meal here. And it's not just about the chicken, they offer a variety of sides that complement perfectly. Whether you're in the mood for Jamaican beef patty (ugh.. I could cry I love it so much..) classic coleslaw, crispy fries, or their mashed potatoes, there's something to satisfy that craving. They even have pizza! Now is it the best pizza in all of Long Island? Prob not.. but it's really good and if someone in our family is craving pizza we grab it from here so we don't have to make multiple stops.

The one review who said go to Popeyes or KFC doesn't know flavor so don't trust it. Go try it and you will be glad u did.

The chicken was decent, not evenly seasoned though. Some parts were very salty, some pieces of chicken were underseasoned. Overall, not crispy enough.

The mashed potatoes were the worst I've ever had. Tasted like the cardboard box it came from. The coleslaw was overly sweet, and the bread was bland. Disappointing and won't be ordering from here again.

I'm not sure where these other people eat that they think crowns fried chicken is bland but consider KFC or Popeyes the elite one lol. Love eating here whenever I can. Literally everything on the menu is delicious. Mozz sticks are my personal favorite side. The dreams I have about the gyro and rice or the pizza is what keeps me coming back for more than just chicken. I can't leave without ordering literally one of everything. The chicken always tastes fresh and it's crispy and u can tell the oil isn't being reused. They have plenty of parking it's a no nonsense no frills kinda place but that's the essence of what is NEW YORK. These chain places got nothin on crowns

I knew I should've checked Yelp prior to coming here. Based on my neighbor, i came here with high expectations and was left underwhelmed. The staff is friendly (enough) and painted plywood counter lends to its unapologetic charm. We stayed away from pizza and other non fried chicken items and ordered a variety of fried chicken family meals. I must say the taste was blend and average at best. The breading was soggy and I can make better mash potatoes (and I don't really cook). While most the time I will give them another chance as businesses can have off days, but based on the food we sampled I'd say save your money and go to Popeyes or KFC.

This place is dirty and disgusting. I ordered chicken, and a side of french fries, and they gave me a bag of French fries with a dead, cooked fly in it, will never eat here ever!

Kind of sleazy inside. The couple of people inside were getting pizza? Ok, whatever. I guess their pizza is good. Who knows! I just got a fried chicken breast, or really half a breast. Eehhh, ok, but nothing to rave about. No "crust/breading/coating", a little soggy, though the chicken was cooked well, not over done and dry, not raw. Still uneventful as far as fried chicken. $2 for a half breast was a little steep, mostly because it was a very small breast. Half of a big breast would be ok, but it was far from that.

I don't know why this place has such bad reviews, the chicken is amazing!! I never get the side dishes, only the fried chicken. It destroys KFC! I'm watching my weight these days so I've avoided it because I can go 11 pieces into a 12 piece basket and then the food coma hits. If you crave fried chicken there is no better.

When I'm in Wyandanch long island...sometimes when I'm in the area take my co-worker to get something to eat...so one day I order something and got the gyro meal and it was so good and here they don't be stingy with the white sauce on the gyro...
