Crites Restaurant

Okay, before you judge me for giving the neighborhood dive five stars, let me tell you about Crites! I am crazy about my eggs, I send them back nearly everywhere, so we just don't do breakfast but at 2 restaurants, and the other one is 40 minutes away! I saw a review on this place about six months ago and said why not?!? We have taken kids there about four or five Saturdays since, with three kids, 2 parents, and adding this or that, it is ALWAYS under $30! And I mean drinks, extra bacon on that, an added pancake to his, that type of thing! Even my pickiest 6 year old always finishes off her 2 egg special with extra bacon. And I am the weirdo who loves poached eggs, which nobody does, but they somehow baste them to taste just like a poached egg!!! Always delicious and CRAZY cheap! Oh, did I mention the $30 often includes a milkshake or two?!?

Me and my buddy came here to support the local business of wadsworth, that was mistake number 1. It smells in there, like a smell that makes you want to turn and run towards the door.
2. We order pancakes, hash browns, and eggs the simplest of breakfast, a 3 year old can make this with ease, so they must have a 2 year old back there cooking because it was the worst food I've ever had, everything was cooked wrong! Then when we asked for peanut butter to drowned out the taste of these terrible pancakes they said they couldn't give us peanut butter cause the owner will get mad.
3. Save your money, time, and taste buds and go somewhere else

If you enjoy home cooked food and the diner atmosphere then you might want to give Crites a go. We love it here. The staff is so friendly. It like going home for a holiday after being away on the job for awhile. The food is perfect. It's not at all fancy. It is like someone would cook at home. It is priced so low too. It's the kind of place you leave and don't even think about the bill. Crites is a real down home diner.

Where else can two people eat home cooking for under ten dollars? Good food and friendly people.

Perfect old fashioned diner. Good food, good people, and a big breakfast for under $3.
