Wow, I love this place! The atmosphere is so charming. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The coffee is great. The egg sandwiches are huge! They're made with two REAL eggs, not that egg patty crap. The brioche bun is so soft. Their scones are incredible, more biscuit-like. I can't wait to go back! Next time I need to try the pancakes (weekends only!)

If you like coffee, this is the only place in the Capital District that I know of that kills an Americano. That's what I had. And if they play that card right, I'm sure they'll kill what it is you need in the caffeine department. The food is very creative and fresh. I recommend the Corned-beef and cabbage breakfast sandwich. Eggs pair with CB&C, who the f knew? Anyway, if you're in the area, hit this place up.

Sadly, we saw that the building had been badly burned when we drove by, which is a shame because this business had great potential. Good luck to the owners and staff, and thanks for doing a great job.

The half star was lost to the early hours, which means it's hard for a lot of 9-5ers to try it, and for a sandwich being a little too runny for easy eating (very delicious, though).
Great little local business on the Glenville/Burnt Hills line. I decided to stop in instead of going to one of the franchises in town, and I'm very glad I did.
Super cute inside, really nice staff, reasonable prices. Lots of coffee selections as well as cooler drink options.
Sandwich was delicious: the balsamic dressing was a little too runny, so the bread got soggy - might have been better with a balsamic dip instead.
I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area. - Jaime P.Schenectady, NY321Jun 23, 2013First to Review

I went in for coffee and a cookie. Prices are reasonable and the folks working were very nice. The espresso was excellent - flavorful and smooth. I also enjoyed the peanut butter cookie. It was fresh, soft and not too sweet.

Cozy spot for breakfast or lunch. Delicious chicken noodle soup and roast beef sandwich. Friendly owners who roast their own coffee. Looking forward to trying their breakfast.

What a great find!!! Driving up Rt 50 with a friend, we were trying to think of where we could get a quick bite for lunch. While our minds tried to fathom what our choices were that was not another chain restaurant, we spotted Creekside Cafe and pulled in. The sign out front stated that they had homemade chicken soup and on this bitter day that sounded excellent to us. The owner gave us a very friendly greeting while he was preparing to roast some of their delicious coffee. The knotty pine interior along with a fire in the fireplace was very cozy. We did order the soup along with half sandwiches and all was great. Seasoned perfectly, great bread...2 of us ate for less than $20! I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or breakfast...I wish them well and will return

Cozy, immaculately maintained place for take-out -- or better, to sit and relax with a friend or two over your scones, coffee (including choices of in-house roasted), lattes, cappuccinos, decafs, and nicely-constructed lunch or breakfast sandwiches. The coffeehouse was formerly many things, a "roadhouse," a restaurant specializing in barbecued pork entrees, etc. The current proprietors have redone it from floor to ceiling, creating several unique areas to relax and enjoy your visit -- couches by the fireplace, booths along the windows, and a variety of tables, the entire interior done in an authentic Adirondack style. Staff is warm, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommended, and a much-appreciated addition to that Route 50 area just north of Glenville. Open for breakfasts and lunches or just a leisurely cup of coffee. In-house roasted coffee is also available by the pound for purchase. Choices on menu seem to expand regularly, and a nice website keeps customers up to date. We've been to Creekside several times and have always found it a relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the "chains."
