Crazy R's Bar & Grill

Classic spot. After driving all afternoon we wanted nothing more than steak, potato's and cold beer. Crazy Rs fit the bill. The decor in here is killer, service is quick and the food is exactly what it needs to be. No frills. The NY strip came with a salad, side and Texas toast. If you find yourself in Goodland KS stop by.

This cute little place has something to see everywhere you look. It's super clean, too. The waitperson was friendly, helpful, and brought our order out promptly. The food was seasoned very well. I had a deluxe quesadilla with jalapeños, two cheeses, onion, and bacon (which I asked for on the side -- it was a generous amount). It was browned perfectly, not greasy at all, and I couldn't even finish it. That made me sad because it was so good. My spouse had the pork tenderloin with fries, saying it was seasoned very well, the fries were certified crispy -- no evidence was left behind.

My last review of Crazy R's was only 7 months ago but that review was based on takeout and not on dining in the restaurant.

This trip my wife was feeling better about COVID restrictions and was willing to dine in at the restaurant.

The staff was super friendly and efficient. The food was as good as I remembered from last time and was served piping hot. I had the Crazy R burger which comes with crinkle fries. These crinkle fries were among the best prepared crinkle fries I've ever had. Hot and crispy. My wife had the pork tenderloin sandwich which came with chips. She also ordered a peach smoothie which was excellent.

The only 2 downsides of our visit were: 1. it seemed to take a while from the time we ordered until our food arrived and 2. the side order of onion rings seemed a bit on the skimpy side for the price. The onion rings were great but an order this side was priced a little on the high side.

Overall, a great experience - both in terms of food and service. Looking forward to my next cross country trip with a stop in Goodland.

Delicious steak, friendly service. This place would be hopping on the weekends. I wish there was a bar/grill near me like this place.
There's one review about a sexist sign. There is one, and cmon, it's in good fun. I saw no topless women in the place taking advantage of the deal. If I were a woman I would...

Myself and a friend were riding through Goodland, KS where we stayed for the night. The hotel recommended Crazy R's for dinner. We went and it was a little family restaurant with a bar. We ordered and waited for our food. While we waited we noticed some signage at the bar. The signed were very degrading to President Biden and V.P Harris. I think if Crazy R's focused on their slow service and giving seated customers packets of ketchup and salad dressing they would have a better rating. Any business that places their personal political preference in sight of paying customers must have some serious management issues about making sensible choices.

The place does not keep the posted hours. Drove quite a way here, over 2 hours. Two bar signs on the windows were on, rest of the place dark and locked. Extremely disappointed.

Mediocre food, served by MAGA republicans. 1/10 wouldn't recommend, could get better food at a fast food joint. Was disappointing as all get out. Was on a long trip and just wanted good food. Service was OK, but nothing to write home about.

Great hometown steakhouse. No frills but consistent priced right. The steaks are great, the fried stuff is decadent and if you want something a tad bit different, try the ragin' cajun.

I became intrigued to see this place and try it out from the one star review that said it had very sextist praphanalia decor. So I wanted to see what that was.
Turns out, a half a dozen kids tricycles, some snow sleds and even a miniature replica freight wagon along with a bison mount decorated these walls and ceilings. Sexist???
Anyway, the rib-eye I had was fantastic, even much better then the much more expensive places in big downtowns in the big cities.
My hunch was right- when I saw that one star review from interpreting a sexist decor.

Stopped for lunch on a road trip. Beer was cold, burgers were good and staff was friendly and efficient.
