Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I have been a fan of Cracker Barrel since I was a child. I will always remember ordering the "Uncle Hershel's Breakfast" during a family vacation as we drove to Florida. I think I was 10 or 11 years old at the time, and I could not imagine the look on my face when the server put down 3 or 4 plates of food in front of me!

I also enjoy the ambiance of Cracker Barrel - country eclectic. The old fashion candies, to the vintage items on the walls or hanging from the ceiling, to clothing and home goods - just a plethora of items to browse and take in. We also like going through the shop for seasonal items.

Service is usually good even on those days when the restaurant is packed.

Food selection is good, and prices are very reasonable.

Bonus - you can get breakfast any time of day! Their pancakes are a fave of ours - with the flavor and slightly crisp edges = yum.

Never, ever again. We arrived at 6:00pm on a Sunday and were immediately sat. That should have been our first red flag. Our order was taken and we received our drinks. One hour and 15 minutes later, the manager came by to tell us they were out of macaroni and cheese, and what else we wanted to do. No apology, no empathy, nothing. During this time of waiting, we saw others get up and walk out due to the lack of service, we saw drinks get taken back because the cups were dirty, a gentleman next to us waited 20 minutes (and asked three separate employees!) for salad dressing because the waitress forgot it when bringing out his salad. Our response to what we wanted to do in lieu of the macaroni and cheese was to leave. The manager wished us a good night, and that was the end of it. We will never return to this location.

One of our favourite stops. The food isn't great. Always needs doctoring. The servers are always terrific. Most everywhere we go they are funny, down-to-earth folks. There's a crazy fun general store you must enter/exit through. Pretty smart.

We usually spend every bit as much money in the store as in the restaurant. Today, in Monroe, we managed a helping of sub-par dumplings, I walked out of the store with a new Stetson hat and two pounds of chocolate. See? 10/22

DO NOT COME AT DINNER TIME ON A FRIDAY
i mean yeah, what can you expect, it's a friday. but come on man. my food was cold and my eggs weren't cooked all the way and were soggy and cold. same with everything else. half of the food either came uncooked or overcooked. clean environment and nice people. waitresses were very nice and patient, working like 6 tables at once. but MAKE MY FOOD RIGHT! #promotecoldfoodhate oh and Daniel needs a promotion, nicest service i ever had.

Zero stars! My ENTIRE plate came out cold and not fresh. Told my waitress to take it back and the manager only discounted me $5.00 off a $20 dollar bill for food you can clearly tell was not fresh and dried out. Will not be coming back. Do not recommend this restaurant. Talked to the greeter about it and even she said she doesn't eat here because the food is always gross! Wow!

To start our waitress Jess was amazing!
2nd it was the worst food and the place was so dirty !!! I have never experienced this nastiness in my.life at a restaurant. My husband found a hair in his food the manager came and did not even apologize he just took it and replaced only the item that the hair was found in.....the silverware was dirty had to ask for more.....the table was dirty when we were set down.....IT WAS JUST REALLY BAD!
10 OUT OF 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

very slow service never coming again!!! Kid screaming hurts my brain stay in your house if he screams that loud jeez... Food is good don't get me wrong just been waiting for 1 hr and nothing has came only water... Great waiters they are amazing chef is as slow as a snail...

Visited several months ago and found the dining area to be very dirty. Sticky floors, sticky tables. I can tolerate the slow and poor service but this gives all Cracker Barrel restaurants a bad name.
I'm afraid to think of how dirty the kitchen area might be.

Probably the worst customer service, manager wise, in Monroe. They said over the phone we could use a gift card in the store and then when we arrive they then tell us that they're card reader is down and threw away our food. So first they lied then they 35 dollars worth of food.

This is a nice location just off the Interstate (I-75, exit 15). Head just west and make a left at their (small) sign on the south side of the road. Plenty of parking here. The store and dining rooms were clean and well maintained.

Short wait to be seated. Food was delicious and plentiful. Service very good and friendly.

As always, a great value and fun time.
