Stayed here several times over the couple of years as it is convenient. Locations is good. However, it is an old worn out hotel, and there has been very little update if any in the timeframe during which I stayed here. Staff is not the most friendly, and they started charging fir parking - which is plentiful.
As I can see it - this hotel is pushing the limit of what it offers vs price!!

I stayed at this location for one night while in town on business, and really had a good experience! The check-in process was super quick and easy, and the front desk employee was friendly. When I got to my room, it was clean and decorated well. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean, and there were plenty of towels.

While I was there, I decided to have dinner in the on-site restaurant. I had the BLT sandwich with a side of fries. It was so good! The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the fries were amazing! There was even live music in the lobby, so that was a nice touch while relaxing after dinner.

The only "issue" I experienced was the air conditioning in the room was very loud. Whenever it came on, it'd either make it hard to hear the TV, or would wake me up while I was sleeping.

Overall, this is a good location if you're in the area. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, the room/bathroom were clean, and there's a restaurant onsite. I would stay here again!

If you want to hang out with ants then this is the place to stay!
Decided to stay at this location since it's so slow to Old Town Scottsdale. Well, after the first night I saw tons of ants in our room.. in the bathroom and even on the counters by the tv. I complained to the front desk so and they offered to switch us room which we were happy with that.
The next morning my husband and I woke up with fresh bites on our ankles, legs, hands and shoulders! We were disgusted and decided to hurry up and leave. The most disappointing thing of it all is that management did not call us to see what our stay after our complaint!

      ANTS!

They do not treat Ambassador Elite members as special guest. When my husband and I arrived on 12/16/2022 at 8:30 PM, unlike other Marriott's, the front desk representative did not greet us with a smile, did not thank us for being loyal Marriott customers, did not offer any rewards points or a welcome gift, told us we have to pay for a resort fee, which is not cool because the pool was under construction and lastly, the parking was not free (which is normally complimentary to Ambassador Elite customers). The front desk representative also did not offer a breakfast voucher and the worst part is we got assigned a dirty room!! For visual reference, when we entered the room , there were used towels on the floor, the bed was not made and the bathroom sink was dirty.

After seeing the room condition, we immediately went back to the front desk and showed the pictures to the representative. She immediately got defensive and upset, which is absurd because we're supposed to be the ones upset... not her! We did not yell, we did not raise our voice, all my husband said was "We usually get a better treatment with our Ambassador Elite status" and he also asked to speak to manager. The front desk representative advised us that there was no manager on site. Soon after that, she felt the need to give us breakfast vouchers and told us our parking is complementary. The initial interaction and experience made the stuff given to us more like a pity handout, not as a valued guest.

Why can't the treatment to loyal customers be better? The breakfast voucher handed to us specifically says " To Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members". Why was it not handed to us when we initially checked-in? Why do we need to ask for manager to be treated better?

the breakfast lounge serves buffet style breakfast. The ladies working were very nice and accommodating.

Stayed a few nights here and had a decent experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's always so nice to get good service.

The lobby is large and has tons of great seating and tvs. It's a great place to hangout if your traveling with a group.

The room was not awesome. The mattress was soft and sagged in the middle. The pillows were great so the overall night sleep could have been bette. My room was on the North side of the building and had a lot of traffic noise at night and in the morning.

The shower is outdated and the water pressure was a bit low. I would have liked more lighting in the hall/sink/bathroom area.

My experience with standard hotels in PHX is that they aren't good so this place is on the better side of the scale despite having some areas to improve. I'll stay somewhere else next time to keep trying to find a preferred hotel in PHX.

So my stay here was okay but the last day really angered me. We stayed here for work and my partner and I were extending our stay one more night to stay longer. He had gone down the night before and rebooked the room PAID and was CHARGED for it and was given another key. We both went down again the next morning to make sure everything was in order for us to keep staying in that room. The manager, who I believe was named Desiree or Denise, said she didn't have us in the system. We were like... okay well he came down yesterday and went through this whole process. She was no help AND SHE WAS THE MANAGER. She basically stood there and kind of gave us the vibe "well I don't know what to tell you" instead of helping us figure out what happened. She said that she could extend the stay in that room. I said well great that's what we wanted. I mentioned we had a charge on his card already for the room. She said that it was a credit card problem. WHAT?! No this is a Marriott problem. YOUR hotel charged us and didn't give us a room. This is a YOU problem. So now we have two charges and we have to wait for both charges to go through then call the credit card company and get it canceled. Definitely how we wanted to spend this morning on our vacation.

I am disappointed in this service and expected more for their customers here. Also ... many of my coworkers reported moths EVERYWHERE in their rooms. Even flying out of their closets.

Do better Marriott especially with your managers. This was definitely a mistake on your hotels part that we now have to deal with because your manager wouldn't take the time to fix the problem created by your facility.

      Pretty IMPRESSIVE, Courtyard!
IF this is the new standard for Marriott Courtyard, we will definitely start looking at more Courtyards to stay at in our travels.
Not only are the beds AMAZING (like the full-service, more expensive Marriotts!), but the room decor was very professionally, designed (wall paper, nice, COMFY furniture w/lots of outlets for device charging!) and the AC (feels like there is also an air filter; smells exceptionally "clean", for being in the desert!).
The welcoming that we felt from the staff was VERY nice!
We flew in from Southern CA, expecting rustic/ minimal and asked for early arrival, which they were able to accommodate.
From the very beginning, the Front Desk staff, Naomi and Kelly, were SO gracious and GENUINELY, happy to see us and helpful, that we already felt pampered - almost like visiting family (without the drama! LOL!).
Then, when we entered our room and saw how beautiful it was (and did I mention that the beds were AMAZING!), we felt relaxed and within the hour, fell sound asleep from our intense trip preparations (2 week tour starting w/Grand Canyon).
Additionally, in the elevator, I mentioned to a housekeeper how nice it was to check-in to such a RELAXING, beautiful room after a 100F trip from the airport (and THANKED her for making it so!), she beamed and LOVED that her efforts made us happy!
Cannot tell you the last time that ANY employee of ANY company, expressed joy at making US (the lowly, customer), happy!
Keep up whatever MAGIC teamwork that you are doing at this Courtyard, Marriott!.
Your guests DO notice that you care about BOTH your employees AND your customers!
      HUGE KUDOS!

My stay was decent me and some friends were there for a birthday. My complaint is with the staff. They place a hold on your card for incidentals. I was told it would fall off in 3-5 days. I gave it 5 days and made a call and the gentleman said it would be refunded that day and if not call Monday. I called Monday and the representative asked for my name and number so a manager could call me back, never received a call back. I tried calling again and still can't get the proper help. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and never had any issue getting my hold back within a couple days. At this point I feel they are holding my funds hostage, it's not about the money it's the principle. I will not be staying here again.

Stayed overnight for a mini getaway. Comfy bed. Cute room. Very nice staff.
Shower pressure wasn't so great but it was insanely hot in Scottsdale so maybe it's because I took a cool shower.
Love the Paul Mitchell amenities and the makeup remover wipe.
They mentioned they upgraded our room for free but we weren't sure how. It was a 1st floor pool view room. Which just meant people walking by all day and lots of noise at night. Don't worry - we managed to sleep well anyway. But if you're a light sleeper, that could be an issue.
They have a deal with an awesome golf cart shuttle service. The guys who drove us were so friendly and it was nice to get a ride over to the mall during the heat of the day.
There are several restaurants within walking distance - US Egg across the street had really good food. Grimaldi's has excellent pizza and is 1/2 a mile down the road.

Basic. The stay here was fine, but nothing memorable.

The room is simple. King bed with white linens. Sofa in the corner. Desk in the other corner. Lots of empty space in the middle. Art with abstract colors but no subject. Very basic sink area separated from the toilet and shower room. There are no frills here and no personality.

Their idea of a "pool view" room is a stretch when it comes to room 134. I mean, technically if I lean way to the side, I can catch a glimpse of the pool. But otherwise, just looking at concrete. It is nice, however, to be able to walk out the sliding door onto the ground level pool patio. This room is the first room directly off the lobby, which was quite noisy in the evenings and mornings with 2 massive Collette travel tourist groups staying here at the same time as my work stay.

Lobby has plenty of seating, a few computers for guest use, a tv at each end, a breakfast coffee bar/dinner drink bar with decent menu options (make sure to check the limited hours), and the standard Marriott market pantry (which was out of laundry detergent for the full 5 days I stayed here, never restocked). Guest laundry on the 3rd floor has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers ($3 each to wash/dry with quarters only). Detergent can be purchased (since not available at the hotel) at the gas station convenience store just down the street on the other side of the Denny's next door, as well as bottled water for 99¢ instead of $3.50 at the hotel). The pool is nice for a dip in the 108° degree heat, but not particularly scenic.
