We had some car issues with our Prius while on a road trip to Idaho. I called another dealership and was told the next appt wasn't for 5 days. My husband tried to diagnose and fix what he could without tools but it wasn't fixing the problem. I randomly called this dealership out of desperation and was transferred to the service Dept which also said they didn't have appts for 5 days. I explained to the gal on the phone that we couldn't wait til Monday because we needed to be back to work on Monday in California. She said she'd have me speak to Jamal. I speak to Jamal and explain to him what's going on with the car and he said, if you can bring the car by we can plug it in to the code reader to see what's going on. So we rush to get there about an hour before they close and they got us in just in time to figure out that we shouldn't drive the car. They weren't exactly sure what was going on yet but said there might be a good chance they could figure it out and fix it if we left it overnight because they could continue in the morning. I was skeptical because I didn't want to get stuck in Pocatello for a week once they took the car apart plus thought they would rape us in price especially since we weren't local. We were kind of at their mercy but they did us right. Everyone was friendly while we waited. The inside of the dealership was comfortable and they had the nicest bathrooms I've seen in a dealership. There was a good selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate while we waited. Jamal kept us informed on the timing and what to expect. He went above and beyond to help us. We ended up having to leave the car there to wait for parts for a day, Jamal found us a rental car. He literally saved our vacation and we were able to finish exploring Idaho while we waited for the car to be fixed. The parts came in as expected and to our surprise, all of the work was under warranty. It barely cost us anything. I can't say enough about the customer service we received from this dealership. Jamal was very genuine and honest, he deserves a shout out for getting us home safely and letting us leave Idaho with good memories. Thank you also to the shuttle drivers that shuttled us to and from our hotel: George and the young man from Davis going to college. We are so happy we left our trust in you all. Thanks so much from the Gay's from California!

Took my Toyota tacoma truck in for first oil change and had a 49.95 coupon for oil and tire change. I understood that it took 7 quarts so cost would be about $10 more. When service was done bill showed I was charged $20 for free tire rotation. They did reverse this charge but also had charge of $3.60 for rags used which is unheard of! The truck was advertised as off road but after going off road I had 3 flat tires. The last one on the interstate. The tires were only six ply! I had to get towed to town at a big loss! I sold the six ply tires and bought ten ply tires at les Schwab and no more flat tires off road
will not return...Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alex U.American Falls, ID321119Apr 21, 2023
Ain't no honor among thieves, bro! This fellows have no shame whatsoever. Even before Christianity ancient Greeks allocated the same God to salesmen and thieves due to certain similarities in their profession. However since then honest merchants tried their best to distance themselves from stealers, but it looks like Phil Meador sees no issue in buying stolen motor vehicles from shady personages at the auctions and then reselling them to unsuspecting consumers few states away. Not cool in my book. Even if you care for chasing a deal more than for being trustworthy and straightforward in your deals think about all the sudden surprises you may encounter after buying stolen property. It can get seized any time. In a couple months of owning it or in a year you never know the time or the place when you have the potential of losing it and than it may require you to retain an attorney and lose a lot of time before being compensated for all the losses whether financial or emotional. Run away from this guys. Don't look back!

Highly recommend this Toyota dealership. I had trouble with my windshield washer fluid, which seemed to be frozen, while traveling through Pocatello. Called the dealership and spoke with Kim who said to bring it by. When I arrived, I was in the garage within 2 minutes and had 3 technicians working on it, including Kim. They suctioned out some fluid and added a Deicer which took a while to work--about 6 hours--but eventually solved the problem--at least for now. It's only 11 degrees here in Pocotello this morning. When I get back to Alpine, Wyoming and minus 14, I'll need a warm garage and a hot blanket for my Prius V!

Honestly, I haven't experienced better service anywhere else and I've been driving for 40 years and lived in 4 different countries! I bought this car in Utah and will drive all my vehicles to Pocatello to have service done at this dealership. Everything was amazing, from the initial greeting, the facilities, refreshments, and of course the actual work which was accomplished ahead of time and flawlessly. I am nervous around dealer service departments lately because they struggle to hire proficient technicians. This place is apparently the exception to that rule.

This is not a review of their sales department, as William (now with subaru) was phenomenal.
Note: The two male individuals have been very helpful from previous services.
The female clerk is another story.
We purchased a set of 5 winter tires, 5 wheels, and of TPMS sensors in 2019.
We came in for an oil change and to check the flat tire sensor (we had a blow out of a tire that that was replaced by the full sized replacement purchased at Phil Meador)
1. She did not give us an estimate on the duration of the oil change.
2. Midway through the oil change she approached us about a dirty air cabin filter that should be replaced; we declined. She also asked if we really wanted the outside of our vehicle washed or not. Which when we have had services done at other Toyota dealerships it was assumed the car would be washed (eg. Huntington Beach and Long Beach). She didn't mention that the oil change was finished or needed to continue.
3. We approached the service desk, as we assumed that the service was completed. She curtly responded that it wasn't.
4. I asked if we could pay since we are here, again she curtly responded with there is still paper work to be completed.
5. We were informed that one of the tires didnt have a TPMS sensor. The female service clerk informed my wife that we did not purchase the set of tires at the dealership. This was incorrect because I checked with the male service clerk informed me that we purchased 5 tires, 5 wheels, and 4 sensors.
She is curt, ill mannered, and cannot navigate their own records system. We will likely not utilize the Phil Meador service department in the future.
1. 1 x TPMS sensor on the wheel that did not have one.
2. 1 x Blizzack tire (replacement of the one that blew out)
3. Set of winter tires for our camry.
4. We will also pursue service at a different dealerships for future maintenance (eg rough sliding mechanism of the driver side sliding door-we had good experiences at Huntington Beach toyota)Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1Oct 4, 2018Previous reviewI worked with Will. Great dealership. On a cross country road trip and brought my car here for a service checkpoint.
They provide a little report with everything like brake pad measurements and tire tread depth.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael L.Bozeman, MT6117Mar 13, 2020
So this is an interesting review because I haven't purchased a truck from Phil Meador (yet), and I've been networking with a handful of Toyota dealerships across the region, but I had to share my recent experience with Jesse Howell, one of their all-star sales people. I'm currently driving an 06 Tundra with 275k and leasing an '18 CrewMax. I've been working with Jesse off and on for the last four months and I can't sing his praises enough. I've owned four Toyota trucks and another five Toyota vehicles over the years and I've worked with a number of dealerships throughout the Idaho, Montana, Utah, Washington region, and never have I come across or had the privilege of working with a sales person as honest and professional as Jesse. This man is a true professional and has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He's responsive, thoughtful, understanding, and truly works his tail off to get results for his clients. If you're in the market for a vehicle, I can't recommend Jesse and Phil Meador enough. I can't speak for all of Phil Meador's sale people, but I can say without a doubt, that Jesse is a class act and true professional who makes truck shopping from afar easy, straightforward and enjoyable. This man should be doing tutorials for Toyota sale people throughout the region. Thank you Jesse for providing such a positive truck shopping experience.

They do a decent job at the service department, but it sure takes forever. I brought my truck in for the 5000 mile service, and was told it would take an hour and twenty, with a wash. I waited three hours and the wash hadn't even been started yet.
The employees are friendly enough and they cleaned up my truck real nicely, it was just frustrating that it took well over twice as long than they told me to get a relatively simple service procedure done.
Update:
We decided to buy a new truck here, and the customer service during the buying process was really great. We got Billy Wood, and he was awesome.
However, we got a lift and new tires on the truck, and when we picked it up, the tires would rub real bad on the fender when turning. Seems like they should have tested this after putting on the lift and tires. So I brought it back in to have the fenders trimmed. Unfortunately, after driving it, the tires STILL rubbed on the fenders. Brought it back in, and it took them forever to trim the fenders again. Wasted several hours of my time trying to get them to fix something for a third time that should have been done right the first time.
Very impressed with the sales department, not at all impressed with the service department.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bobi D.Pocatello, ID16323Nov 20, 2016
Jimmy (salesman) went above and beyond for a $1000 vehicle for my teenage driver - the same kind of service I received and expected with my $35,000 new car. I was very impressed, and would not hesitate to return simply based on how I was treated.
