After loooong day of driving we just picked a place....hoping for the best. We landed at the AmericInn. We were well received by Dan, whom i had spoken to while on the road. Realizing how tired we were, he gave us a quick lowdown. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and appeared updated. I can't tell you how happy we were to find the room clean, no funk smells and comfy. Especially liked having LVT flooring....Coffee was good, breakfast was quite the variety and desk receptionist was friendly and maintaining clean clean dining area throughout the morning......you wont be disappointed here....rooms do not look like pic....light, bright updated....great service!!!

I've stayed here many times in the past 10 years. They are now called AmericInn by Wyndham. Always truly amazing customer service. Nice lobby, good breakfast, WIFI, pool and hot tub. Recently repainted/remodeled rooms. I will keep staying here.

The customer service was great. The rooms were nice/clean, the lobby was nice, the price point was good, we even upgraded for a suite. They have a pool and hot tub, they have breakfast, WIFI. The pool was cloudy so my family opted not to swim. But, that did not hinder our experience otherwise. (I write this review during Corona time).

We have been generally happy with Country Inn & Suites hotels at which we have stayed. That is until we stayed at the one in Galesburg. We should have heeded that other reviews.

The hotel was generally in an unkempt state. Upon driving up, we could see that the landscaping was overrun with weeds. Benches outside the front door had broken slats in them. Our room was dirty and unclean. There was hair in the bathtub, urine and toilet paper in the toilet and crumbs on a table. When we brought the condition of our room to attention of the gentleman at the front desk (Charles), he apologized profusely. He then offered two other rooms and allowed us to inspect them before moving. Sadly, neither of those rooms (including a Jacuzzi room) were in any better condition than the room we were in.

In general, the hotel was grimy. Buttons in the elevator had grime on them as did the buttons on the coffeemaker in our room. The lampshade on the lamp in the living room area needed to be vacuumed desperately. It appeared as though housekeeping had only changed the bedding, provided clean towels and emptied the waste baskets; no other cleaning was done. This hotel is in desperate need of a good, thorough cleaning of the rooms and public areas. There are other options in Galesburg and I'd recommend one of them. Consider this a budget-rate motel.

I've visited Galesburg a few times in the past to visit my fiancé who lives in Altona, and this is the first time I've stayed in this hotel. Normally I stay in the Holiday Inn, but for the week I was staying, I noticed it was going to cost wayyyy more than normal. So I tried something new.
First we'll do the pro's. As I mentioned, it was cheaper. I was staying for about a week, and country inn & suites was about $300 cheaper for the week, and that's staying in a suite as opposed to a regular room. So that's crazy and pretty good. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, lots of fun. The pool and spa are really nice. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It's a pretty nice place overall.
The cons are just nitpicks that could use attention. First, the bathtub has a problem keeping up with the water. The tub slowly fills as you're taking a shower, which is a little annoying. Second, the walls are paper thin. Which is hard to criticize because I know they can't really do much about that, but just know that before you buy. You can clearly hear a conversation in the hallway, though I never heard neighbors; only outside in the hallway. The wifi was also extremely touchy. In and out like crazy, destroyed my data over the week.
Just small things to notice, but overall it's well worth the price. I'd recommend it!

Im more of a fan of Whitney's although I haven't had any complaints from our guys either about the hotel (which is good). The company I work for is doing a project in the area and usually I dread making hotel reservations....its down right painful. Not with Whitney. She is very pleasant and efficient! Makes me want to make reservations to stay there myself just to meet her! Thank you Whitney for making my reservation experience easy! I hope everyone appreciates you as much as I do!

What a great place! Whitney and the staff were great and this hotel has it all. Cleanliness, friendly people, they even sweep up trash in the parking lot! Can't wait to return.

Very nice! We ended up here after leaving the Quality Inn across the parking lot in horror. What a disgusting and dirty place.

Country Inn is a little more expensive, but well worth it. Clean, very nice staff, good breakfast. The rooms were nice, clean, and we had plenty of room. Very pleasant stay.
