I visited Cottonwood twice in the last two days with coworkers, and enjoyed both trips. According to one of the employees they have been open for 2 and a half weeks as of mid January. The space is very large with several levels and a wide variety of chairs and tables. They are located close to my office, so I suspect I'll visit a lot in the future.

For lunch the first time I had a BLT, a side of cottage cheese, and some dark coffee. The BLT was tasty, and had a tomato pesto spread. The cottage cheese was cottage cheese... and cost $2. My coworker had one of the burgers, and seemed to enjoy it. On my second trip I had a special winter blend of coffee.

It took a little while longer for the food to come out than we expected, and it was a bummer to not have a side included with the sandwiches, but we had asked about this beforehand so weren't too disappointed.

It feels like Cottonwood is trying to do a little bit of everything. They have a breakfast menu, a lunch/dinner menu, 5 or 6 Brewer coffees and some pastries, and a number of local beers on tap. These are all great things, but I suspect they will need to pair down their offerings a bit so they can focus more.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Cottonwood Cafe. I heard they can be pretty crowded for lunch, but we got in easily for dinner, and it was delicious.

I love the ambiance, it looks great for studying and grabbing a cup of coffee (same coffee as Meadowlark, which I love), I got a Mocha to go after dinner and it was great.

For dinner, we started with the bruschetta appetizer. It's made with Parmesan instead of mozzarella, but was delicious. I got a half sandwich and cup of soup, with the beef and Swiss sandwich, it was wonderful. My husband had the "Joe Zone" burger, which he said was amazing.

Highly recommend for date night or a light dinner out with friends (or lunch!) And their breakfast menu looked awesome too.

Good food at affordable prices. But, the staff all but ignored us once we ordered. I could tell that customers like me aren't who they want. I'm not cool enough. Plus, I really, really hate having to bus my table. You tip when you pay at the counter. Why? The cooks brought out my food. Nobody did anything remotely tip-worthy. I will say that the zucchini cole slaw was really nice. Innovative and refreshing. But I'm not sure I'll be back. It is a really unwelcoming place. Maybe if I had a goatee, funky glasses, tight jeans and a man bun, I would have been thanked for my business.

Love this place! Beautiful atmosphere, strong wifi signal, terrific toddy latte, excellent local draft craft brew selection, tasty menu including delectable soups, and plenty of outlets for recharging phones and laptops. Update: originally created as a sister to the Meadowlark, the two now have separate owners. All is well at the Cottonwood, with the excellent service continuing and the menu unchanged.

I regularly drive across town just to get a Chicken Feta Wrap. I can't say anything about the rest of the menu because I tried this and it is the only thing I have ordered since!
I appreciate the variety of ingredients I'm the wrap. Good balance - not too much or too little chicken or lettuce. Love that they have cucumbers in this wrap which is one of my favorite add-ons for sandwiches but not always used.
      And, they have Coke products.

Maybe best coffee latte stop I have been locally. The usual drink options, as well as food things. Will surely plan to return. Nice place to hang out also.

Terrific place, and not just for coffee. I had a great breakfast here recently while visiting Lincoln. The coffee was awesome, but the breakfast was every bit as good, very fresh. Also, one of the very, very few places where I have ever ordered my eggs medium, and actually had them arrive that way!
If you are new to this place, you order your meal with your coffee and they'll bring the food out to you. Oh, and I have to say, the potatoes are delicious.

Got there right at opening and everything was ready.

Delicious coffee, I suggest getting the Ethiopian roast.

Had the mexi-morning burrito, delicious. Needed salt.

The small breakfast plate has delicious potatoes.

Great and unique burgers, though fries were not very hot. Great selection of dessert items and coffees. Fun beers! Great space with high top tables, low tops, couches, and a bar area. It will be somewhere I will go back to very soon.
