Costume FunHouse

We went to Costume Fun House last week to get costumes for a murder mystery dinner we were hosting. It ended up being an amazing decision. Dean, the owner and his mother, who introduced herself as "mom" were really nice and helpful. There were so many costumes to choose from and they were not bothered at all by me trying on about 6 before making my choice. They outfitted each of us with accessories including suspenders, tie and hat for my husband. I also found shoes, a hairpiece, necklace and gloves. The entire costume was included in a low rental of $55/each which I thought was a bargain.

They measured my husbands inseam and altered his pants to fit and when I picked up the costumes they were clean and ready for us. We can't wait to do another costume party so we can go back and pick up new costumes. I would highly recommend them for your needs.

Really fun place! Tons of costumes! Many are a bit dated, but that was totally the look I was going for - so it worked for me. The staff was really incredible and helped me for about 45 minutes to find the perfect tacky tux I was looking for. The fellow who seemed to own it is eccentric and really great, he was the main one helping me and I really had a good time checking out their costumes.

This is the place to find the best costumes for all your needs. I have used them several times and have never been disappointed. The owner is amazing. The small details make the costume look authentic. They even have hard to find items

This place gets all five stars because they have all types of costumes to choose from. The costumes are traditional ones such as the 70s look, punk rocker, Disney princess, Civil War soldier, Sherlock Holmes, Pirate, period Victorian lady, etc. If you are looking for Game of Thrones costumes, this wouldn't be your place. However, I am sure you can improvise with what they have. The staff, and probably owners, were very helpful in finding a costume. Just tell them what you want and they will pull out options for you. If you prefer to browse on your own to decide what to wear, you can do that too. They do costume rentals but can sell a costume to you if it's not an antique or "hard to find". The Sherlock Holmes rental was $50 plus tax. It's the daily rate to rent the costume, but the owner said we could keep it for four nights because of the Halloween holiday. Returning the costume was easy. You drop it off and tell them your name. The costume store has limited hours so look out for when they are open.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Although we just needed two suits for a period wedding, you can see by looking around the store that the selection of costumes is fairly large. There were a few small stains on my husband's clothes, luckily they couldn't be noticed unless you were really looking, and the raggedy old shoe strings that they said were going to be changed were not changed when we picked up the suit. Our wedding was small and short, so it wasn't worth sweating. Great for Halloween or other events but if you're going for flawlessness in your wedding, I'd advise you just to go buy the stuff.

I was torn between ordering a costume online or shopping local, and I'm very happy I chose Costume Fun House. I had no idea what I wanted to dress up as, but Dean mixed and matched and came up with a great costume which received many complements. Can't get that kind of personalized service online!
