Love shopping at Cosmo Prof.
FYI today I called to find out how to get the Cosmo Prof card replaced and this was the number (for corporate) given to me: 1 877 707 5561. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER! SCAMMER ALERT! The automated machine didn't state a company (that should've been an obvious sign ) and when you hit 0 (as I was told to do by the Cosmo Prof employee) it redirected me to a person who was trying to get my personal information because he wanted to send a $100 Walmart gift card along with the replacement (??????)
I called another Cosmo Prof store for the number and she gave me this one: 1 877 707 6651. I didn't try that number because the clerk told me to come in with my ID and they will get the card replaced.
I wanted to give a heads up just in case it's useful information for someone in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debirah T.Ketchikan, AK37102Mar 17, 2019
I just want to say, this was probably one of the best Cosmo Prof experience I have had. I was three days post op with a new hip and was using a walker. The girl behind the counter said " let me have your list" and she helped me find everything I needed! I wish I had written down her name but i didn't. It was on the weekend. Super helpful and soo nice! Good job Seattle, kudos for representing Cosmo Prof!

Probably my should have researched more thoroughly beforehand but - I called this store and said I was looking for a bottle of acetone for my own personal use, just for me to keep at home. They said they have it! Yay! I went to buy it, got to the register, and was asked for my CosmoProf card. Turns out you have to have a card to buy here. That would have been useful information to have given me on the phone... Idk if just anybody can get a CosmoProf card because the cashier didn't mention anything at all after I said I didn't have one. Crappy experience and a waste of time.

I'm very disappointed with the customer service at the new location since the old building burnt down. I went in and for the 3rd time in a row was talked to rudely by who i assume to be the manager. She is so unfriendly and makes my shopping experience really uncomfortable. She was talking to co-workers inappropriately in front of customers which normally wouldn't bother me but since she was rude as well i thought i would mention it. She really needs an attitude adjustment and is not professional enough to be a manager. Other coworkers that I've talked to said the same thing about her. If I had another option or cosmo prof close by I would stop going there. I must be clear that she is the only one who has been rude to me. The other girls have always been friendly and helpful.

Wow! So I'm a Cosmo prof customer originally in Bellevue and they were ok. I'm sure you've heard but the Bellevue location burned down. That left me choosing to go to Renton or the Seattle location. I put an order on both locations hoping to get a special order for menz scrupples. Only Seattle's location contacted me. What's more impressive was the genuine customer service and friendliness of the entire staff. Most beauty supply stores employees I feel are either not knowledgeable or seem to be having a bad day. Greg especially was super helpful! As soon as I walked in today, without saying a word Greg went to the back and said he would get my order. He was super professional and helpful. Even though traffic was a pain from Bellevue to Seattle and back, I would still visit this location and pay for parking. There are just good people working there!

I LOVE this place. If someone told me I had to choose one beauty supply store in all of greater Seattle, and only shop there for all my cosmetology needs, I would choose this store, and this location.
If you are a hairdresser, manicurist or esthetician (any sort of cosmetologist), this is your HUB for the largest variety of product lines and supplies in all of Washington. Not only that, it is also an amazing source for information and assistance, as the manager and employees are extremely helpful when it comes to determining which products you'll want to use, how to formulate, running your business, troubleshooting, current trends...you name it, they are on it! They are my google for beauty knowledge:)
Tracey and Carla do their work with a proficiency that is above and beyond what anyone could or should expect of a salesperson. They both know more about hair than anyone I know in this industry. They have their ears tuned to the best info on what works and what doesn't. The biggest mistake I've ever made was when I first started coming here and I didn't engage them in conversation and ask a million questions. Their input and recommendations are invaluable.
Over the years, shopping here, I have had all kinds of situations that needed resolution, be they returns or a defective product or any concern whatsoever. In all cases the responses I've received have always been both generous and understanding. Beyond understanding!
Regular folks only DREAM of being able to carry their CosmoProf card! Bravo to Tracey and Carla and the rest of the staff! You all are a part of my life's community, and I appreciate you very much. Please continue to exist forever. XOXOHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jake G.Seattle, WA51606Nov 30, 2012First to Review
I've been going here for 10 years now. Their staff (Tracy & Carla) have been there for almost all (if not all) of that time. There's something to be said about familiarity and I can get it while I visit here.
Licensed professionals only, but if you are one, enjoy nice discounts on salon and spa products.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Samantha K.Seattle, WA303Jun 14, 2017
I'm not generally one to go on yelp and write a review, but I can't believe the way I was treated at my local cosmo prof. I went in to exchange a couple products that didn't work out, They were used once and I had a receipt and was purchased in may. I thought ok no biggy I can exchange these at least for some color. Went to the counter and told the girl yes I used it only once but I have my receipt and she proceeded to tell me no I couldn't return these whatsoever. I said even though I only used them once? And she proceeded to say rudely "if I took these back and you bought them over the shelf would you be happy it was used?" which really put me in a foul mood. So I shut up and bought my $100 worth of other products and left. I called customer care and they said I should of absolutely been able to return the items. So I will never be going back to your store and am happy to go to salon centric if people are going to act like I don't matter as a customer, especially after buying hundreds of dollars worth of product on a monthly basis.

Someone closed the store on a Saturday afternoon. The post it on the door said be back at 1:35. We waited 45mins for the person on duty to come out from the back of the store and let us in during normal business hours. When we finally got what we came for SHE was rude.
