Today I had lunch with my family as we celebrated my son for Honor Awards at AAMU. I have never heard of Connors until today and I will definitely be back . The ambiance was very welcoming and cozy . Our waitress Gabby was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials .
We started with an appetizer ,the Lobster Dip ,and it was outstanding . It was served with some light chips that you can eat alone . Delicious!
We all had something different and not one of them disappointed us . Food outstanding.
We also had the strawberry shortcake for dessert . The presentation was amazing and the taste exceeded expectations.
The I really was pleased to see one of the managers Patrick , checking in on tables to make sure everyone experience was good. When he approached our table he was very friendly and genuine.
My next visit to Huntsville I will be coming back to try other items on the menu. Very pleased with my visit today .Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 26, 2024
This is a bit of a dated review, as I was here before Christmas. However...Connors just wasn't that great to me.
First, the joint was dirty. Like, really dirty. The bathrooms had a noticeable sewage odor (I went twice within 3 hours--it was a long lunch--and the smell lingered). Our table was not clean. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get hit by a foul health food rating like all Bridge Street restaurants seem to get.
Anyway, the service was fine. Drinks were refilled often, server was friendly, etc. It was a long lunch and they put up with us, which is why this isn't a 2 star review.
The food was...alright? My burger was prepared WAY overdone for what I asked for (wanted mid-rare, got VERY well done), but it was edible (if dry). The fries were good. Dining companions had no major complaints, but I spied some MAJORLY overcooked ahi tuna on one plate. What is it with this place and cooking temps?
I wouldn't seek this place out again but I wouldn't necessarily pitch a fit if I had to go. I would not call it destination dining, however.
Note: parking is Bridge Street madness, make a reservation, this is a LOUD restaurant.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rosemary L.AL, AL02Jan 15, 2024

Although the crab cakes were not seared like I like them and were more like crab dumplings they were still good and I didn't send them back.
The credit for making this night fantastic here is due to Abby, our server who absolutely embodies hospitality! She is phenomenal! She was polite, genuinely kind and went beyond what your normal wait staff would do to help us. Here's our 3 problem areas we caused: 1. Sister spilled her iced tea. Response from Abby: fantastic catch! Well done! Don't move I'll clean it all up!
2. I dropped my napkin. Response from Abby: I'll get a fresh one for you! And 3. In opening gifts, Abby offered to remove the wrapping paper to which I replied (because it was raining steadily and had the gifts in a white trash bag so they wouldn't get soaked): please just dump this trash bag but also please save it for me to cover the gifts when we leave. Good grief: I left a $55.00 Christmas ornament in the "trash bag" and it got thrown away. I immediately found Abby and apologized for what I had done and asked her to let me go through the trash can to find the wrapped gift. It was a relatively small ornament. Abby's response: No Ma'am give me a minute and I'll find it and bring it to you!
She did that and even apologized for opening the gift when we didn't care in the least. She seriously went above and beyond and saved the day for us gift wise and incredible compassion and service-wise. Thank you Connors for loving us despite our clumsiness and overlooking our faults and managing to leave an indelible memory we can enjoy!Dec 13, 2022Previous reviewConnor's offers excellent on-line ordering and seamless, exceptional pickup/takeout service! I placed an important online order on 12/2/2022 for pickup at ~ 11:15 on 12/3/2022. The confirmation said to call when you arrive and Bridge Street has dedicated pick-up parking spaces super close to Connor's, which is an added plus! I called and was told to just come up and pick up the takeout, which I did.
The hostesses were sweet and pointed me to the pickup area. Everything was correctly cooked, packaged beautifully and, when I explained what we had planned, the "special occasion" to her, she went out of her way to ensure everything was super top notch. She added 3 additional loaves of their bread, extra whipped butter and a variety of generous portions of salad dressings. Such a nice touch!
The food travelled well the few miles drive to my destination and everything from my side wedge salad with blue cheese; the 2 7 oz. lunch sirloins cooked medium [1 with Caesar salad, 1 with side salad] with a side baked potato with each topping packaged in its own container, to 1 side of cheese grits [of note: the cheese grits and potato held their heat for a good 30 minutes after I picked them up!] to the jumbo shrimp cocktail and cocktail sauce - everything was delicious!
The occasion was for my sorority sister's home-bound Father to "virtually attend" his only grandson's wedding held in Miami, FL via facetime from his living room on his TV set.
He was over-the-top thrilled with this very delicious, perfectly cooked meal and cleaned his plate! I was impressed with the quality of each dish and the price! This lunch totaled $77.39 with the shrimp being the most expensive single item at 15.00 for I think, 6 jumbo shrimp, and the sirloin lunches, including one side plus $7 to add on a salad, came to $24.00 each.
Thank you, Connor's for the delicious addition to "spoil" our best friend's sweet Father! He really did appreciate it, saying over and over "ya'll are spoiling me!" I uploaded the photo of his "fancied up" dining table with plate chargers, breadbasket and napkin rings. [We supplied our own drinks.]
I highly recommend Connor's lunches, and especially, their easy online ordering system for pickup/takeout!Apr 22, 2022Previous reviewSo sad they left off my side of fries today when husband got to go order. He didn't realize until when got home. Smoked salmon salad was good as always just sad no fresh french fries when he ordered them.
Dec 7, 2017Previous reviewWhat I love about Connors is the unobtrusive service. I can get a bite, enjoy all the goodness of the golf channel and have my water replenished constantly without asking. Used dishes are removed quickly and without conversation. Noise level good. The staff makes it ! Shift transitions are seamless, too. Well done on training the staff. Thank you Connors for filling my belly before meeting sorority sisters for a nice catch up "mininpub crawl" @ bridge street last night. Looking forward to showing TX based sister more of all the goodness in bridge street when she returns next month.

Came back recently in 2024 on a business dinner and unlike previous meals this one was not great . I ordered the small filet and creamed spinach. Although the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. The actual temperature was barely warm. It was as if the steak sat in the kitchen 10 minutes on the cold plate. I think it would have been good had it been warm. The spinach was great and the flavor of the filet was good but serving food at near room temperature is just not ok for me at a place like Connor's. They should at least heat the plates a little bit to help food hold its heat a little longer too. I didn't expect a Ruth's Chris sizzling plate but a warm steak is the minimum expectation.

The service was great and he really knew the menu and served as a great guide for us. The area around the restaurant is great for walking around before or after dinner. This is a great spot so don't miss it

Went for our anniversary dinner. We have 3 kids and never get to go out for a date night and unfortunately I was disappointed. The server wasn't very friendly. Pretty cut and dry. Didn't offer straws for our drinks. My husband's salad came out 10 mins before my soup and my soup was lukewarm at best. The rolls were pretty hard but at least the butter was nice. I believe it had pesto in it that gave it a good flavor. I ordered the prime rib which is usually my favorite and it was honestly pretty flavorless and the auju was cold. My husband's sirloin was the star of the show. It was cooked great and had an amazing flavor. I probably won't return.

Came here for the happy hour and had the steak Caesar, lobster bisque, fried green tomatoes, and voodoo shrimp. All I can say is that everything was amazing and I recommend getting all of it and take advantage of the happy hours food and drink prices. Service was amazing and loved the overall ambiance. We got there at 3 and sat at the bar and it started to fill up aboht an hour after.

Lots of people rave about how much they love to dine at Connor's, unfortunately I am not one of them. The food is good but not great. The service is acceptable but not exceptional. The ambience is where I find this restaurant lacking. If I am paying high end prices, I expect a high-end experience. Sitting at small cramped tables with the back of my chair against the back of an adjacent table's chair does not rise to that level. If you simply want to make believe that you have "made it" and don't mind paying for the privilege of that pretence, this may be just the place for you. Not for me, though.

If you make a trip to Huntsville you be sure to make reservations to this spot. I came here with a party of 10. They accommodated us moving tables so my team could sit together. The staff was fantastic and quick.
For starters go for the Truffled Deviled eggs w/ bacon. The team enjoyed them so much we ordered a few more. Another interesting appetizer was the Lobster dip. The right amount of flavor hot, creamy, lots of meat with the seafood chips. The Voodoo Shrimp was a great choice also. Reminded me of bang bang shrimp but better. I wouldn't recommend the fried green tomatoes. The breading was a little on the dry side for me and the team. However, there steaks is what people come for and I can see why. It was cooked medium to perfection. Each slice got better, well worth the wait.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
